I hauled up my body over the edge of the small mountain, along with the rest of the gear I had connected to my grey and blue uniform. I stood on my two legs and looked over the landscape ahead of me. Two suns shone high in the blue sky, as the faint outline of one of the moons stood proudly at the horizon. Hunky utility ships docked and undocked from the mobile buildings that had dug there way into the ground to keep themselves still. Other sleeker and harder to spot military ships were surrounded by blue rings from my hud, as the visor identified them. Others landed on the ground near also easily hidden buildings, as soldiers marched through the doors.
I heard the rookies finally catch up with me, and pile on top of the mountain as well. They looked on in awe at the sight before them. They quickly got up, and took on stiff standing positions, waiting for orders. One rookie, the last to climb up, still ogled the sight before him. I picked of a stone from the ground and threw it at his helmet. As stone met helm, he quickly fumbled for his gun, but dropped it, as the headgear fell over his eyes. He said he wouldn't tighten it because it wasn't comfortable. I knew it would come back to bite him in the ass later, so I didn't complain.
"Well, Rookie? How about you tighten up that helm, or I throw you to the dogs?" He looked down as he slightly tightened the helmet. I strode up to him, grabbed the small strap, and tightened the helmet with all my strength for maximum discomfort, and smiled a toothy smile as he struggled to open his mouth. I pushed him into the line of behaved soldiers, and began to slide down the mountain of sand after a quick order for the soldiers to follow.
