Her friends offered to come and support her, but she decided to go on her own. "I wonder what is in here." Twilight said worryingly, "Maybe, I should have let my friends come." She heard a noise in sounded like a rock, she looked over to see what it was. "What was that?" She was actually scared now, she hadn't been this scared since the Crystal Empire incident. "Relax Twilight," She was terrified, you could see her shivering from feet away, "Nothing to be afraid of, except the fact that it is a very dark forest." She was lowering her head now. Twilight, a mysterious voice said. "Who said that?" Twilight figured she must have been hearing things. We know you can hear us, The voice continued. "What? There it is again, I should probably keep walking." She was prancing now, to scared to look back. "I am going to regret leaving them behind!" She yelled, then started flying but couldn't get above the leaves, like they were a roof. BOOM!!! A tree fell over behind her, then another, then two more, then four more, eventually she was being chased by falling trees. "Help! Anypony, Help!" she screamed until a couple trees collapsed on her. "Ugh, not fun." She exclaimed popping her head out from the trees. She kept yelping until she passed out from pain. She woke up, still underneath the tree, still unable to move. "Come on!" She tried flapping her wings, but they were caught in the trees. She tried to lift the trees with her magic but she was too weak. She felt herself getting weaker, and hungrier, if she didn't get out soon she would starve. She whispered, "Help, please," she moaned but was silenced by the voice again. You should not cry for help, for no help will come. The voice was getting quieter, and quieter, until Twilight had no energy left. "Is there anypony out there?" Her voice trailed off, she had completely blacked out hoping her friends would help, but she knew that they would not come. She woke up seeing herself walking in the forest, "This was right before it happened." Twilight said missing what was happening. "Hello, Twilight Sparkle." A familiarly graceful voice greeted her. It was Princess Luna, "You have not much time to survive, try to see how to escape." "Luna? Is this a dream?" "Yes, Twilight, you cannot die in this way, think about how the others will feel." Twilight gasped as she realized what Luna was talking about. "I will do my best!" She woke up, still pinned on the ground and sighed, "How am I supposed to do this!?" She screamed so angered that she had to cough after. She used all of her strength to lift a tree. Getting the tree off, she crawls out of the tree pile. She tried to find the way she had came, but she could not find it, so she started crawling to find a way out of the forest. ~*~ The forest was nearly pitch-black now, Twilight found raspberries and ate them, finally having something to eat, it was like a dream come true now. She regained enough strength to fly above the trees, still she could not find the way out. She was trapped in the forest, it was nighttime so she hoped for Luna to guide her. She could see the sun rising, so she knew Luna was not coming. She did not know she had been asleep about a month, that is why she was previously starving, much had gone on since then. ~*~ In Ponyville, it was not going well, nopony has heard from Twilight for over a month. The last anypony had heard from her was when she walked into the forest. ~*~ Twilight was panicked, she wasn't that far away from Ponyville when she left, did the forestgrow? She was walking until she found a sign with a missing poster on it. The sign said, 'Welcome to Ponyville!' The missing poster showed a said, 'Twilight Sparkle, royal princess missing, 100,000 bit reward for her return.' The picture showed an image of a very familiar purple alicorn. The date said it was almost a month earlier on the poster. "What?!?!" She was surprised how long she was in the forest, the forest had obviously grown by then, into Ponyville. She was scared to find out what happened to her friends, so she continued to walk. Twilight was very confused, but also worried, how far the forest had gotten, but she could see sunlight. She walked into it and saw the rest of Ponyville still happy, she was scared to go in now, not knowing how everypony would react. Something was, off about it though. She was thinking that just before she fell into a deep hole while walking backwards. The HoleIt was like Twilight was falling forever, so she had time to think after screaming for an hour. Twilight thought it to herself, She finally hit ground, but it felt like padding, so whoever came down could be cushioned. "What is this? It feels like a really slimy and soft mattress." The substance came up into a cocoon and trapped her in, "Where am I!? What's going on!?" She kept yelling and squirming until a gas started leaking into the cocoon. "Who's there!? I need to... get... out..." She was drifting off now, and she felt like she was really tired. She fell asleep in the small moist shelter. ~*~ The small cocoon soon opened up and Twilight fell out onto the cold ground. "Look at who is finally awake." A changeling walked out of the dark. "You've been asleep for quite a long time." "A changeling!? Where am I!?" Twilight was confused but still angry. "What is going on?" Chrysalis also walked from the shadows. "Isn't it better if you listen?" "No! Why would I?" Twilight silently said, "Yes, it is." "Good, you learn fast." "No! I will not listen to you, Chrysalis!" Chrysalis Thought that she would be tough to control, but she already was mostly in control. Twilight ran towards the changeling that greeted her, and impaled him with her horn. Chrysalis reacted by grabbing Twilight with her magic, freezing Twilight. "Let me go!" "Now what is the fun in that?" Chrysalis grabbed Twilight by the horn. Twilight cried out in pain, "It hurts!" "I will let you go, but first, you should see what you look like." Chrysalis passed a mirror to Twilight. The mirror showed a changeling with a dark blue and purple mane, "Th-that is not me!" Chrysalis let go and Twilight fell to the ground, "That isn't me!" She yelled loudly, very loudly. Twilight was giving up, she wasn't sure if her friends were alive, they wouldn't even recognize her if they are. "I'm sorry my Queen." Twilight had given up. Chrysalis smiled in victory, "Apology accepted, First, you will have to learn how to change." Chrysalis said to the new changeling, "You have to think of a pony, then focus your magic on that image." "Okay, I will do my best." Twilight had forgotten her past life now, so she just imagined Chrysalis. Her body was surrounded by green flames, the green flames disappeared fast with Chrysalis standing there instead. "Good, now change back." Twilight transformed back into the changeling she was before, "Very good, now get some rest, we have empty somewhat houses down here, you can stay in one of them." "Thank you, my Queen." Twilight replied gracefully. "We are taking a trip tomorrow, so you do need rest." "Where are we going?" "We are going to Canterlot, Princess." "Canterlot?" Twilight did not know where this place is or what it was, of course. "Yes, and you are leading by my side." "Really!?" Twilight yelled excitedly. She was pale when she went back to sleep, but she tried to go to sleep, so she did. "Is anypony there?" She asked, scared. Twilight thought, Twilight was incapable of noticing her friends out in a crowd anymore, or anypony else. The next morning, Twilight yawned from the night she had the night before. "Today is the day!" Twilight walked out into the main cave, where all of the changelings were. "Twilight! For the *greeting* can you turn into the old you? Until I give you the signal, then to your normal self." Chrysalis asked, innocently, as if Twilight didn't know it was an attack, but she did. "Of course, my Queen." Twilight replied with a sinister smile as green flames swallowed her body for a few seconds, then coming out of the flames was a purple alicorn. "So when do we go?" "We go, now or we will be late." "Late for what?" Twilight asked confidently. "A very special meeting with other princesses..." Chrysalis was confident she would win this time, especially with Twilight Sparkle on her side this time. The changeling's head exploded on Fluttershy. "What the hell is your mare's problem?" Rainbow Dash said, "I saved you with this gun I found, nice, huh?" Rainbow narrowed her eyes, "Wait, how do I know you aren't a changeling?" A changeling hit Dash and bit Rainbow's chest, making her bleed everywhere, "Help!" Applejack smashed the changeling's head with an axe and pushed it aside. "Need help?" Applejack said, pointing Rainbow's gun at Dash's head, "Rainbow, are you a changeling?" "Of course not!" Applejack shot Rainbow's head open and Fluttershy cried. The dead pony turned into a dead changeling. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was in a cocoon, "Well, this is fun." Rainbow said, bored. The top of the cocoon was cut open and Applejack narrowed her eyes at the 'new' Dash. "Are you a changeling?" The orange pony asked. "No, I'm not." The blue pegasus answered. Fluttershy passed out from the open wounds and blood loss. Rainbow quickly reacted by firing her gun at Twilight, but Twilight grabbed the bullets with her magic and hit Rainbow Dash with the bullets instead. "How unfortunate." Chrysalis said, sarcastically. Chrysalis grabbed Applejack with her magic and brought her close. "P-please, don't hurt me." Applejack pleaded. "I wouldn't dream of it, just look into my eyes." Chrysalis replied, Applejack was forced to by the force of the levitation, "Good, now keep looking, deeper." "No, ah' wont!" "Maybe Twilight will be more persuasive." Chrysalis said, Applejack now in Twilight's magic. "Look into my eyes." Said Twilight. "Twi, how could you do this!?" Applejack yelled, Rarity was right behind Twilight, about to assassinate her, then she was picked up by Chrysalis and stabbed in the head with her own knife, "Rarity!" Applejack yelled, tears streaming down her face. Rainbow Dash used whatever energy she had left to pick up her gun and shot Twilight in the back. Twilight fell to the ground as Chrysalis grabbed Rainbow by the neck and healed Twilight. "Kill me, I would rather die than watch this." Rainbow said, being choked. "That is why I am not." Chrysalis replied. "Surprise." Rarity said from behind, and stabbed Chrysalis in the back, "Holograms, work every time." Chrysalis was surprised enough that she snapped Rainbow's neck as she fell to the ground. Chrysalis nodded slightly, hoping Twilight would go along with it. "Now get some rest, we have a big day tomorrow." ~*~ 20 days earlier "Oh come on, Applejack, I know you are stronger than that!" Rainbow Dash yelled while hoof wrestling Applejack. "Oh yeah!? Ahm' not even tryin'!" Applejack yelled back, both of their faces tensed. "Me either!" The blue pegasus yelled. "Anypony hear from Fluttershy yet?" A pink pony asked them both excitedly. Rainbow Dash pulled out her hoof from the hoof wrestle, "Nope, she is still pretty broken up by Twilight disappearing." Applejack sighed, "I know, its been pretty bad lately." "I know, I just want to find Twilight." Pinkie said sadly, "I really miss her." ~*~ Twilight woke up from what felt like a bad dream, breathing heavily. She went into the bathroom and poured water on her face, she looked in the mirror and saw Applejack standing behind her. Twilight actually woke up now, and went back to bed. She was pale when she went back to sleep, but she tried to go to sleep, so she did. "Is anypony there?" She asked, scared. Twilight thought, Twilight was incapable of noticing her friends out in a crowd anymore, or anypony else. The next morning, Twilight yawned from the night she had the night before. "Today is the day!" Twilight walked out into the main cave, where all of the changelings were. "Twilight! For the *greeting* can you turn into the old you? Until I give you the signal, then to your normal self." Chrysalis asked, innocently, as if Twilight didn't know it was an attack, but she did. "Of course, my Queen." Twilight replied with a sinister smile as green flames swallowed her body for a few seconds, then coming out of the flames was a purple alicorn. "So when do we go?" "We go, now or we will be late." "Late for what?" Twilight asked confidently. "A very special meeting with other princesses..." Chrysalis was confident she would win this time, especially with Twilight Sparkle on her side this time.

The Fight Twilight was flying with hundreds of her *brothers* and *sisters* to the castle, everypony has already evacuated from Ponyville because of the uncontrolled creatures coming out of the forest. "What is that?" Twilight asked pointing towards the empty village. "That is Ponyville, Twilight." Chrysalis replied. "Ponyville?" They were spotted by the guards in Canterlot. ~*~ "Ch-changelings?" Fluttershy asked, "Are you sure?" "Yes, they are close." A guard said as a changeling tackled him and bit into his throat. Fluttershy gasped and looked away as the changeling jumped at her. The changeling's head exploded on Fluttershy. "What the hell is your mare's problem?" Rainbow Dash said, "I saved you with this gun I found, nice, huh?" Rainbow narrowed her eyes, "Wait, how do I know you aren't a changeling?" A changeling hit Dash and bit Rainbow's chest, making her bleed everywhere, "Help!" Applejack smashed the changeling's head with an axe and pushed it aside. "Need help?" Applejack said, pointing Rainbow's gun at Dash's head, "Rainbow, are you a changeling?" "Of course not!" Applejack shot Rainbow's head open and Fluttershy cried. The dead pony turned into a dead changeling. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was in a cocoon, "Well, this is fun." Rainbow said, bored. "Be quiet, you." A changeling said, and Dash heard a large squish sound, as gore splattered on the outside of the cocoon. The top of the cocoon was cut open and Applejack narrowed her eyes at the 'new' Dash. "Are you a changeling?" The orange pony asked. "No, I'm not." The blue pegasus answered. "Good, because you would be him right now if you were." Applejack pointed towards the dead changeling. "Where is Fluttershy?" "I don't know, I lost her." A changeling held up Fluttershy, "Trade, the blue one for this yellow one." The changeling stated. "Stop, I will take care of the negotiating, but keep that yellow pegasus at hoof." A familiar voice said, she walked past the changeling with Fluttershy and stared at the two other ponies, "Who the buck are you two?" Twilight asked, but never got an answer. "Twilight!?" Rainbow was shocked and confused, "What is going on!?" "That is me, who are you two?" Rarity stabbed the changeling next to Twilight in the back. "I hate changelings, too down right dreadful" Twilight levitated Rarity by her mane, "What do you think you are doing? Hurting my brother, how rude!" "Twilight?" Rarity asked, "W-what are you doing? How are you alive?" Chrysalis winked at Twilight, Twilight was engulfed in green flames, what approached was a changeling that had the same mane as Twilight, "T-Twilight?" Fluttershy opened her eyes, but Twilight grabbed Fluttershy by the wing and threw her out a window and she hit hard against the ground below. Fluttershy passed out from the open wounds and blood loss. Rainbow quickly reacted by firing her gun at Twilight, but Twilight grabbed the bullets with her magic and hit Rainbow Dash with the bullets instead. "How unfortunate." Chrysalis said, sarcastically. Chrysalis grabbed Applejack with her magic and brought her close. "P-please, don't hurt me." Applejack pleaded. "I wouldn't dream of it, just look into my eyes." Chrysalis replied, Applejack was forced to by the force of the levitation, "Good, now keep looking, deeper." "No, ah' wont!" "Maybe Twilight will be more persuasive." Chrysalis said, Applejack now in Twilight's magic. "Look into my eyes." Said Twilight. "Twi, how could you do this!?" Applejack yelled, Rarity was right behind Twilight, about to assassinate her, then she was picked up by Chrysalis and stabbed in the head with her own knife, "Rarity!" Applejack yelled, tears streaming down her face. Rainbow Dash used whatever energy she had left to pick up her gun and shot Twilight in the back. Twilight fell to the ground as Chrysalis grabbed Rainbow by the neck and healed Twilight. "Kill me, I would rather die than watch this." Rainbow said, being choked. "That is why I am not." Chrysalis replied. "Surprise." Rarity said from behind, and stabbed Chrysalis in the back, "Holograms, work every time." Chrysalis was surprised enough that she snapped Rainbow's neck as she fell to the ground. Chrysalis got up, barely and impaled Rarity with her horn as they both went down, dying. ~*~ Three dead bodies on the floor, Chrysalis, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity. Twilight slammed Applejack against the wall and Twilight slammed her hoof on Applejack's knee, breaking her leg. "I'm sorry If it hurts." Twilight said, gritting her teeth. Twilight was holding Applejack out of the window, so Applejack could see Fluttershy's bloody body, but Fluttershy was still breathing. "Twi-" Applejack was cut off by her own screaming, Twilight dropped her out of the window. Twilight changed into Rainbow Dash and walked out of the room. The fake Rainbow walked into the throne room. "Who are you!?" One of the guards asked. "Rainbow Dash." Twilight said. "Sorry Miss Dash, go ahead." "Thank you." Twilight approached the princesses. "Dash? Aren't you supposed to be defending?" Cadence asked. "Um, yes, I just wanted to tell our status." "Continue." Celestia replied. "Rarity, Chrysalis, and Rainbow Dash are all dead." Twilight changed back to her changeling form and attacked a guard, immediately killing him, taking his spear and stabbing the other guard. "Now, princess, we have important matters to get to."
The Princesses"Are you certain?" Princess Luna asked Shining Armor. "Yes, the changelings have broken into the throne room." He said, worryingly. Luna walked to a window as she saw the city she helped maintain fell apart. An explosion could be heard with silence for a moment, a small yell, then a squish. Luna turned around to see a dead guard on the ground, with his own spear in his stomach. A changeling stood by him, then there was a green light, then guard stood by his own body. Shining shot a blast into his leg. It turned into a changeling again, it tried getting up and failed. It choked up blood, why don't you just kill me know..?" It asked, then coughed. "You might have valuable information about the attack." Shining said, "Now speak." "I'm not going to talk, I would rather die." "That can be arranged." It gulped, "Do you know the whereabouts of a princess named Twilight Sparkle?" Luna asked. It chuckled, "Where the buck is my sister!?" Shining yelled. "I...Won't...Say..." It whispered before taking a last breath. "Need not worry Shining Armor, I am sure that we will find her." Luna unsurely said. "You are right, I hope..." He replied. ~*~ Fluttershy and Applejack got up, "Wh-who was that?" Fluttershy asked. "A-ah' don't know, but ahm' sure it wasn't Twilight." Applejack replied. They stumbled into cover, Applejack took Rainbow's gun, "Stay close." Applejack whispered, Fluttershy nodded slightly. A changeling crashed close to Fluttershy and attacked Applejack, she shot it in the head. Fluttershy gasped, and then started to cry. "Rainbow i-is dead! So is Rarity! M-maybe Twilight too!" She screamed. "I-it's all gonna be alright, just, follow ma' lead!" "N-no! I'm s-staying here!" "Fluttershy, I can't lose you too!" "I can't live with it..." "The castle is right there!" A building started to collapse over Fluttershy. "O-oh no!" Fluttershy yelled, as it collapsed on here back legs. "Flutter-!" "I-I can't feel my body." "I can get ya' out!" "Go." "But-" "Go!" Applejack ran to to the castle crying. ~*~ Rainbow took a deep breath. She coughed, she looked at her stomach, her stomach was coming out of her body. "I need a healing... Potion... Now..." She went as fast as possible to the chemistry department, and drank a healing potion, which began to heal her stomach. Her intestines began to return to her body.She looked around, "Where's Chrysalis?" Rainbow asked herself. She looked at Rarity's body, Rarity was standing by her, "Rarity!?" She asked, then hugged her. "Wait..." She whispered. She grabbed Rarity's knife and stabbed it into Rarity's chest. The changeling changed back to normal. "Long live the queen..." It said before bleeding to death. "I have to get to the castle." ~*~ "H-help..." A changeling said, "Please..." "No, for the pony's lives that you have taken." Celestia said, with the changeling at her hooves. "Please..." Something blasted Celestia's chest. "I'm so sorry princess..." Twilight said with a smirk. "W-what are you?" The princess asked. A few changelings blasted through the ceiling. "I'm done with her, do what you want to her." The changelings smiled and attacked Celestia. They were disintegrated, by a blue light. "Sister!" Luna yelled and flu towards her sister. Twilight was gone, "Who was that?" Shining asked herself. "I-I don't know..." Luna replied. ~*~ The changelings walked, carrying Chrysalis across the battlefield. She groaned, "We are loosing her!" A changeling yelled. "We need to get to the chemistry department, we may find a healing potion there!" The changelings nodded and ran to the chemistry department of the city. When they got there they saw a blue Pegasus with a shotgun. She simply said, "Hey." "Get out of the way!" "No." "NOW!" "I really don't appreciate you guys almost killing me." A changeling picked up a healing potion, Rainbow shot it in the head, and another changeling grabbed it and gave it to their queen, she drank it. "What the buck!?" The changeling yelled. Chrysalis got up, "Its good to be back..." "Ah shit!" Rainbow yelled. "You should have left, when you could." A changeling whispered. Rainbow smirked, "Actually," She put a MP3 Player on, it started to play music. "I needed to dance to something." She shot a changeling in the head, then kicked it's body across the room, then another in the stomach, and grabbed it's head, then smashed it into the ground. "Uh oh." Rainbow was got bit in her leg, "Damn!" Rainbow started to pass out, she groaned. "Hahaha..." Chrysalis laughed silently. "B-buck y-you..." She blacked out. ~*~ Rainbow woke up, she shook her head. "Uhg, I feel terrible..." She looked around, "Why is it so dark!?" Her voice echoed. "Is this a prank? Pinkie?" She tried moving, "Why can't I move!?" She heard a rip, then fell to the ground. "Where am I?" Chrysalis walked out, "Home." Rainbow struggled to find her gun. "Looking for this?" Chrysalis had Rainbow's gun, then pointed it at her head. "You live here now..." "No!" She started to fly away, but then, her wing was shot, and she fell to the ground. "Goodnight." Chrysalis said as Rainbow passed out again.
