War Dancer

The dark blue unicorn patrolled the streets of Ponyville alone, looking for any sign of a threat to his princess. Thunder boomed loudly as lightning streaked across the sky overhead, the pegasi have really outdone themselves today, he thought to himself, rain plastering his lavender and black mane to his head. *crack*, He stopped and crooked his head something was near; even worse, it was coming from near the library where his princess was. He moved quickly and silently, he could make out the intruder or intruders as was the case. He stopped and focused on the pink and cyan ponies gazing intently through the window of the library, the library that his princess was in. He focused his energy on them, and his horn started to glow with a white energy brilliant enough to rival the brightest star. One of them, the cyan one, noticed him but it was too late, he discharged the power throwing both ponies backwards. He rushed over and tackled the cyan one trying to get up, she was a threat, he looked over to the pink one, and she seemed stunned. He turned back to the mare under him, who was trying to fight him off, to no avail,

"What do you want with the princess" he shouted.

She flashed him a look of confusion "n-n-nothing, we were just watching, I swear" she managed to get out,

Almost as soon as those words left her mouth he was overtaken by a pink blur
"Get off her you big meanie" she shouted.

He lost his footing and tumbles over, how did she recover so fast, he thought. He was livid, she had taken him off guard and now she would pay for it, he focused all his energy on the pink earth pony. As he was about to release the energy he was enveloped in an aura as dark as the night itself holding him and snuffing the energy in his horn,

"What art thou doing?" boomed a voice he knew all too well.

He turned his head to the direction he heard the voice and beheld the moon goddess, still trying to fully comprehend what was going on. At her side he saw a familiar purple unicorn, one he saw on occasion in the Royal Palace.

"Pinkie Pie? Rainbow Dash? What in Celestia's name is going on out here?" Twilight asked.

The pink pony took in a big breath of air.

"IwascomingovertoinviteyoutoapartyandthenIsawDashylookingintoyourwin-"

"Pinkie"

"Yes, Twilight?"

"Please slow down" Twilight asked

"Okie Dokie Loki." Pinkie Pie said cheerfully

"I was coming over to invite you to a party, and then I saw Dashy looking into your window and I asked her if she wanted to come to and she said sure but kept looking through the window. So I wanted to know what was going on so I looked in your window and saw you talking to princess Luna so I thought it would be fun if I invited her too and then this big meanie-"she looked over to the blue unicorn "came out of nowhere and shot us with his magical horn blast thingy and then started to beat up Dashy"

Luna looked to him appalled "You attacked them?" she asked?

"I was trying to do my duty" he stated "I saw them spying on you and I took it for a threat"

Luna glared at him "you will apologize" she said, a statement, not a question.

The blue unicorn looked to the two mares "you have my apologies" he said, not sounding at all sincere

"Yeah, whatever" Rainbow Dash replied offhandedly

"That's okay" said Pinkie, then she gasped "You should come to my party!" she practically shouted in his face. This was ignored.

"And my sincerest apologies to you miss sparkle, my guard is usually overprotective, but this one can become particularly overzealous at times." Luna said still glaring at him

"That's okay princess" twilight said then looked over to the other unicorn asking "what may I call you?"

"My name is War Dancer" he said
