Prologue: To.. Mewni? Wait.. this is not Mewni!
Star Butterfly and her best friend Marco had just woken up. Tired though they were from fighting monsters in Marco's backyard, they had to wake up. Star, the optimist of the two, felt great after waking up on her comfy bed. Marco, on the other hand, was not exactly amused.
"Stupid monsters." he said, while going to the bathroom. He didn't mind sharing a bathroom with Star, but did mind the sexual comments from his class about the two sharing one.
"Tell me about it." Star said, brushing her hair with her magical wand. "Oh also, my parents invited us to a meeting. We're going to war against Ludo's kingdom, and I forgot to tell you about it."
Marco practically fell over in the shower. “I actually get to go to a royal meeting!?” he exclaimed. “When does is start”?
"In five minutes." Star replied with her cheerful voice.
He fell over again. “Five minutes? I’m not even dressed yet!”
That was true. He was naked.
Star noticed this, and waved her wand. There was a whoosh, and then Marco had a pretty pink princess dress on.
“Wrong spell.” She laughed. Star waved her wand again and a closet flew in, Marco thrown inside of it. After a little bumping, Marco came out of the closet, dressed in fancy attire, as for Star; she too was dressed fancy.
"Mom, we're leaving!" Marco called.
Marco brought Star's wand charger, just in case. Star cut her dimensional scissors, but Marco stopped her.
"Didn't your mom specifically tell you NOT to use dimensional scissors? Why don't you just ask your mom to send you a gateway to Mewni or something so you won't get sent to get sent to Saint Olga's."
"Relax, Marco! I'll just explain that I casted a spell to get a portal from Earth to Mewni, besides you need to be taking risks every once in a while. You're like a tiny squirrel who doesn't dare to collect acorns by the eagle's nest."
"Fine, use the dimensional scissors..."
They passed through the portal and appeared at their destination.
“Wait…” Star whispered. “This isn’t Mewni!”
"Where are we?" Marco said.
"Welcome to Canterlot High!" a voice yelled. The two looked towards the sound and saw a human. She had pink, puffy hair, pink skin, blue eyes, and she was obviously older. "You must be freshmen right?"
“Well, no.” Star told her. “We’re from a different dimension!” a sudden quiet blast of music was heard in Marco and Star’s ears. Star tried to use her dimensional scissors, but to no avail. The wand had overcharged the dimensional scissors and left them unable to return home.
They were stuck here.
“Different dimension? Like my friend Twilight?”
Chapter I: Star and Pinkie vs Marco Act I: Parties
"Who's Twilight?"
"Oh, just a magical pony princess from another dimension called Equestria."
Star looked at Marco. "Ugh, what?” Marco said, eyebrows raised.
"Never mind! I've got to plan a welcome party for you two!" she shouted excitedly. "Also, are you two a couple?"
“NOPENOPENOPENOPENOPE.” Marco yelped, sprinting in the other direction.
“Marcooooooo! Come back! We definitely have potential, so don't count us out just yet!" Star yelled after him, a smile ever-present on her face.
"You two are so cute!” Pinkie squeed. "Well, I gotta go decorate for your party, but you’re definitely gonna get to know every student here, and if you want to try out for something just let me know. I'm just a locker away! I'll see you two later!” Pinkie grinned. She turned around and hopped away.
Star smiled at Marco, who was still blushing. "We should get to know some of these people. Come on!” she grabbed his hand. They walked inside and went searching for the bathrooms. "But first, we should definitely get changed.” Star said.
Star went inside the ladies' bathroom, hair combed neatly and curled at the ends. I didn't style my hair like this! she thought. How did this happen?
Just as she began to brush her hair, a tall girl with dark purple hair and sapphire eyes stepped out of a cubicle.
"Why, hello darling! Are you new here? I'm Rarity!" the girl said.
"Um, yeah? I guess?"
"Hmm. You look like the magical princess from another dimension type."
"How does everyone know about that?"
"Oh! Remarkable! We've had one or two of those! "
"You're kidding, aren't you?"
"No, I'm most certainly not."
Star's wand charged up as she chanted a clothing spell that instantly donned her a short dress.
"Oh wow, I didn't know we'd get another Princess. So which dimension are you from?" Rarity asked. "Are there horses instead of humans, or are there humans, mermaids, fairies, witches?"
"I'm from Mewni, and there are humans, goblins, fairies, mermaids, vampires, witches ,and the occasional werewolf." Star said, spinning her wand around in her hands.
"That's quite interesting! You'll have to tell me all abo-"
The bell rung.
"It's time for class!" the Rarity spoke excitedly. "But I never did catch your name, darling."
"Class? Awww, do we have to go? I mean, I don't go to class on Earth. The only class I'm forced to go to is Miss Skullnick's, oh and my name is Star Butterfly."
"Class is essential to your future, darling." The girl replied, obviously a pretty smart student. "Obviously, you've never had class in Canterlot High, and Miss Skullnick. That's a strange name."
"Mr. Donkey, please excuse us for being late. We honestly didn't mean any of it!" Rarity said, her eyes bright with desperation.
"You're both forgiven, but don't do it again." Mr. Donkey said slowly. "Wait, who is this new student?"
"I'm Star Butterfly!" She said while extending her hand out to shake.
"Please, call me Cranky. And where are you from, Miss Butterfly?"
"Err.. she's from Trottingham, Mr. Cranky." said Rarity.
Star got the hint that keeping a low profile would be better for her, especially with all the gossip going on.
They both took their seats and waited for Cranky to start the lesson.
"Today we are learning about the quadratic formula."
A groan went out in the class, and the teacher decided to just let them free study.
Mr. Cranky was kind of a pushover, and he was very grumpy. Though he could be submissive, it wasn't too bad in Star's opinion.
After Math class, the two decided to go out and get some fresh air. Star eyed Marco suspiciously as she went to her newly called locker. There was a small letter already in the compartment.
Dear Star, I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out this Saturday. - Flash Sentry.
Pinkie had told Star about him. He was a player with a thing for Twilight Sparkle. People opposed their relationship because they thought Flash didn't have enough personality and development and wasn't on Twilight's level. From what Star heard, Twilight was smart, and Flash was kind of a bland perfect boy stereotype.
The words "Star" and "you" were misspelled. Star was obviously not happy about that. If a guy's going to send her friendship letters, at least spell the name right, or if they're asking her out spell the name right. Still, that makes sense, doesn't it? Star thought that this Flash guy was dumb, and she had someone in mind that she wanted to date.
This princess, was highly educated, just as one might think. She was professionally taught by the best educators in all of the dimensions, about stuff that actually mattered on Mewni, as well. Once she saw Flash Sentry, she blushed and sighed. "He plays music, and he has a record for being a good guy..." She said, drooling on her wand.
Marco looked at Star in a caring and affectionate way and she just gave him a look that said "I know, thanks!". Sometimes the alien princess could be clueless, especially on Earth and when fighting Ludo.
UGGHHH!! WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE SO HARD??? She thought as she walked around. It had been a few minutes after she had seen Marco, and she decided to work on her math homework to get her mind cleared. . Wait, how does math work again? Oh wait, by drawing!! She cheerfully thought. She had gotten a crap ton of homework and then she simply drew cute doodles on it. "Who knew math could be so much fun?" She said, coloring in her creations. "It's obviously super fun to do schoolwork!"
Marco walked up to Star, and was just looking at her like she was crazy. "I'll help you with your homework."
"Oh cool, thanks Marco! It's so fun to do math."
------------------ After Math-------
"Math is not as fun as I thought, Marco. Thank goodness I have a friend like you to help tutor me."
"You know, I'm always happy to help with your homework, Star. You've caught on pretty quickly, Especially when doing all of the formulas Mr. Cranky assigned." Marco said, scratching the back of his head.
"It was you who put this stuff in my brain. BTW, can I play your ringtone?"
"Just this time?"
"No. Fine.." He played his ringtone, making Star sing along.
"I miss Miss Skullnick. She was so awesome! Especially since she's a troll!"
