Chapter 10 - Bonus - Doctor Whooves (Future Companion)
"You know Doctor, you really haven't explained what were doing and why you insisted I come" Ed said as he hovered in place near the Doctor.
He was in the Tardis with the Doctor as it made a bunch of noises that Ed couldn't really explain but listened as it always soothed his mind listening to the little warping sound it made whenever it was traveling or landing. He looked over to the Doctor who just had a smile on his face as he moved the levers and hit some buttons with a hammer as he worked on the controls in front of him. The Doctor eventually turned to him as Ed stopped laying in the air and floated down to the doctor as he stood by him.
"Well you see Edward, every hundred or so years I have this ritual, were I go to a street at night that is completely empty and meet my past generation, of course I usually come in after my past generation is done saying hello to his last generation, but after I say hello I watch him leave and wait for my future generation to come and say hello before I take my leave next" The Doctor said as Ed just titled his head.
"Wait, so you meet your past generation, then after he leaves you meet your future generation then you leave... so it's a cycle you created that every generation follows, neat, but why am I here?" Ed asked as the Doctor pulled a lever down then suddenly a *Ding* was heard in the room.
"Were here! Come on Ed lets go see my past and future!" The Doctor said as he walked to the doors as Ed just shrugged.
Ed followed behind as the Doctor waited for Ed to be right behind him at the doors before opening it. As the Doctor did Ed saw him look instantly right as he followed suit and shifted his head seeing another Tardis to the right of them against a wall. In front of it were two people, and man, and a woman. Ed looked at the man first noticing no similarities at all between him and the Doctor he stood by now, probably because the past one was human and his wasn't. The only thing his Doctor and the past Doctor had in common were sand shoes, and to this day he had no idea why he wore shoes like that anyway.
Ed's eyes went to the companion he had with him, the lady. She had blond hair, looked British, and- Ed stopped all train of thoughts as he looked at her facial expression, she had sighed and now had a look of relief as she smiled now as she looked at his doctor. He wondered why she had done that but his train of thought was cut off as the past Doctor waved goodbye and entered his Tardis with companion behind him. Ed just smiled as he watched the Tardis leave fading out of the world as it made its warping sound. Completely gone now Ed turned to the Doctor who was already staring to the left waiting for the next generation to arrive. Ed turned facing the same way as well. He could see the street lights going down the street ranging far and wide.
'The Doctor must have picked a long ass street for this ritual he does" Ed thought as he patiently waited for a warping sound to come in.
He looked to the Doctor who had a smile on his face as Ed just grinned to facing forward again as he waited along with the time traveler.
And they waited...
And waited......
.........
And waited
And waited
Ed stood still there, not looking at the Doctor as he felt his eyes widen at the sudden realization.
"That's why I brought you here" The Doctor finally spoke as Ed didn't look to him but just kept on looking forward desperately waiting for the Tardis to come.
But it didn't.
Suddenly Ed heard the creaking of the doors opening to the Tardis, Ed looked and saw the Doctor going back into his ship. All Ed saw was his back before the Doctor turned and looked at Ed, his face calm and solemn. It made a pit in Ed's heart as he felt like a piece of him just died. This man was going to die soon, all the people he saved, the planets, the universes. And he was going to die.
"Come on, we don't have all the time in the world now" The Doctor weakly smiled as he turned and walked further into the Tardis as the doors slowly closed but remained open by just a inch for Ed to reopen.
Ed looked at the ground as he gritted his teeth and felt a single tear leave his eye as he then looked up at the sky seeing all the stars shining brightly in the sky. He wanted to cry, but knew that the Doctor didn't need that right now, he needed to do what he needed to do, and Ed was going to make sure that he would help that man, even if it costed him his life. Ed breathed in slowly before exhaling, he looked at the Tardis doors and slowly began to approach them. As he opened it and stepped in he heard it.
Vworrrp Vworrrrp

Ed stopped all movement as he suddenly lost all thought. He put a hand on the door as he leaned out of watching as a blue box faded in to the left of his his Tardis, Ed suddenly had the most stupidest grin on his face as he watched the new Tardis appear and the doors open. Suddenly something unexpected happened, out the new Tardis fell a familiar looking face as they landed on the floor with a thud, it was him. All bloodied with torn clothes and everything he coughed before looking to him.
"Coordinates, one through ten, divide it all by 11, go!" The future Edward said as present Ed just blinked before nodding and entering the Tardis.
The future Ed waited before hearing the wheezing sound the Tardis made as it disappeared leaving only him and his. Future Ed slowly got up feeling the pain in his ribs as a few of them were broken and he didn't want to rely on his unleashed mode to heal them.
"You know you didn't have to be all dramatic like that" Someone said behind him as he looked and saw his future Doctor walking out the Tardis beside him.
"Yeah, but where's the fun in that" Ed grinned as he switched sides looking to the left of his Tardis as a new wheezing sound could be heard, but it wasn't just one, it was thousands. One by one Tardis's started appearing down the street taking up the whole block as Ed just smiled hearing all the doors creaking as they opened.
Ed just gave a stupid smile as he walked back inside the Tardis.
"Where's the fun in that"
