"That is a lot of money right there" Ed said as he looked at the many seats with some kind of virtual headset type that looks like you could put on and it would put you into a virtual world like in some kind of sci-fi movie or something. It was all connected to a huge mainframe below the glass floor, there had to been about 100 plus seats there, maybe more. All in all it looked like a geeks wet dream gone terribly right. At the front was the control room where Ed guessed they could control the simulator or run test or something. He looked to Luna who just had her arms crossed while smiling triumphantly.

"Do you like it Ed? I programmed the whole system myself, took me a good two years but I got the whole thing working, a whole virtual reality simulator, complete with miles and miles of ram and gigabytes of open world exploring, it's probably my best work yet, next up I'm working on a project called Person of Interest, wanna hear about it" Luna said with glee as Ed was still contemplating how much actual money this took to make.

"Maybe later dear sister, right now we have to get him plugged in and ready to go, run a whole diagnostic on him and everything, we want the test to go smoothly after all" Celestia said while taking a seat and receiving a cup of tea from a employee who looked like they worked down here in this amazing room. Also the room was located at the very bottom of the building in the ground, just in case anyone was wondering.

"Alright sister, I'll start setting up the test, come with me Ed" Luna said as she motioned Ed to come out the control room and into the geek glory room.

"I'll be right there Luna" Ed said as he turned to Celestia and also noticed that the mane six were present also.

"Can I talk to you really fast" Ed asked as he motioned Celestia to a corner of the room.

"Sure thing Ed woah!" Celestia said as Ed dragged her rolling chair with her in it to the corner and got in her face.

"Celestia I want you to be honest with me 100 percent right now and in return I will offer 100 percent truth in return, is there any other meaning behind these test" Ed asked.

Celestia blinked as she let her tea rest gently on her lap. "I wanted to know what you were, I'm afraid of what you can do so I wanted Luna to scan you while you were in the test and get us a better look at what you are"

Ed let out a happy sigh and a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"Thanks for being honest with me, for your information, I'm a human with god like powers I can activate on a whim, you shouldn't be worried with me at all because I would never use my powers to hurt anyone but only monsters, and even then I only use my powers to save others and sometimes have a little fun that would harm no one, satisfied?"

Celestia slowly but surely nodded as Ed smiled. "I also like to keep my power a secret most of the time, but if you ever have any questions feel free to ask, your my boss now after all" Ed said as he began to pull her back to the table she was sitting at and walked out of the room to join Luna.

5 Minutes Later

"Luna... should I be concerned for my safety?" Ed asked out loud as he laid in the seat with his virtual headset on.

"[No not really, unless your worried about the brain cancer you'll get from first start up then you'll be fine]" Luna said over the speakers in the room.

"Wait what?" Was all Ed said before the world before him turned black.

It was only a second though that he had seemed to black out, as he awoke again he was still in the same seat with his headset on.

"Luna did you do it yet?" Ed asked out loud as he wondered if the start up failed or was taking longer than expected.

Not getting a response he leaned over to see if anyone was in the control room since he was in the seat closest to it, to his dismay there was nobody in it. He quickly got up with worry as he took his headset off and began walking to the control room. He entered the room seeing that no one was there, except the tea cup Celestia was drinking was still on the table she sat at. Ed was starting to feel some suspense build up. Did something happen with the test that cause him to blackout? But then what happened to everyone, something wasn't adding up- then he snapped his fingers suddenly realizing what was going on.

"I almost forgot that I'm in a simulator" Ed said out loud.

Suddenly the main screen of the control room turned on. "[You figured it out faster then almost everyone who's ever been in the start up]" Luna said as appeared on the screen with everyone else behind her watching what he thought was the big screen in the real world control room.

"I guess so, so what's first on the list?" Ed asked.

"[Well we'd usually do some basic test but since we have everyone here, why don't we test your skills]" Luna said as she was handed a electronic tablet by one of her assistance. She fiddled around with it as nothing seemed to happen in the simulator. Then the elevator in the room opened as Ed saw that it was empty.

"[Enter the elevator and it'll take you to your first test, or level as I like to call it]" Luna said as she smirked.

Ed just nodded as he complied with her orders. He entered the elevator nonchalant as the doors closed and the elevator began to move.

"So what's the difficulty for this level if you don't mind me asking" Ed asked as he wondered if there was a rating system and such.

"[Well actually were gonna give you a two-star mission, every mission or scenario, and even monsters, are rated by stars, from one to five, one being the easiest, and five being the hardest, now the difficulty can be set on each star manually by you before said mission or scenario starts, just look at the hud that pops up in front of you to select your difficulty, which is righttttt about... ]" As Luna trailed off a little holographic menu popped up in front of Ed with a selection of, Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme, and then there was a little arrow at the bottom that hinted there was at least one more. Without warning he touched the arrow feeling an actual touch of the screen as the screen panned up and in big red glowing letters the word 'Impossible' showed taking up the whole screen. Again without hesitation he clicked on the Impossible difficulty.

As the screen disappeared he heard the speakers within the elevator turn on. "[Alright Ed, a two star level with Impossible Difficulty, Good Luck]" And with that the speakers turned off and the elevator stopped.

Ed watched as the elevator doors opened revealing a chilly night as Ed felt the cold rush in and darkness that came with it being night out. He stepped out of the elevator as heard the doors close behind him. Looking around he was in some kind of plaza, lots of open room, only a couple of stores around him, he was lucky the lights were on for a few street lamps and that the full moon was... red. Ed looked up again as he just barely noticed that the full moon was red colored. He had wondered if it was for a special reason for some nights or if Luna only did it for her simulator stuff.

"Hey Luna, I can talk to you during the mission right?" Ed said out loud.

All of a sudden a screen popped up with Luna and everyone behind her on it. "[Yes Ed what's the matter?]"

"I'm just wondering, what's up with the moon?" Ed asked as he pointed up towards it.

"[Oh the moon, well you see every month the moon turns red for some reason, we never figured out why but we have people working on a explanation, but on the full red moon we have to be careful]"

"Why?" Ed asked as he looked back up to it.

"[Because that's when the monsters get rowdy, and even the bigger ones come out of Everfree]" Luna responded.

"Huh, the Everfree, how come I never heard about it in any books?" Ed asked as he wondered if there was an Everfree back in Equestria.

"[Well we call it the Everfree but it once had an old ancient name, Yarn ham something, but either way we call it Everfree now and it's kind of just basic knowledge around here, which is why it isn't in a book, and it contains some of the most deadliest monsters alive, and the only reason we don't bomb it is because our old hunters secrets still reside in that old city, so we just keep a electric fence around and a 12 hour watch on it when it hits night]"

"Huh, maybe I'll take a walk to Everfree and see what's there sometime" Ed said casually as he rolled his neck around trying to see if he could crack it while in the simulator.

"[Well if you do take me with you, I wanna see what secrets our ancestors held]" Luna said as the screen disappeared.

"Sure thing Luna, just pack a lunch if anything" Ed said jokingly before a loud shriek was heard a parts away.

"And I'm guessing here come troub-"

Ed froze as he saw the first one crawling towards him, fucking thing was the size of a new born puppy, it was like nightmare fuel and just the fact that it was in the simulator meant that they had the size of these things in real life. Then it's big brother came right behind him crawling like a god damn piece of shit. Ed started to sweat furiously.

"Luna, I will give you the god damn moon, just please give me anything else but these type of monsters" Ed said barely keeping his cool.

"[No can do Ed, test is a test]" Luna said like a earpiece in his ear.

They were a good couple of meters from Ed, but Ed could see how big they were, and they just kept on coming, he looked around as he saw that they were filling the plaza, they weren't approaching him but just waiting for something. Ed was beginning to freak out as he now regretted picking the impossible mode. And if that wasn't bad he could feel the ground shaking. Turning towards a alley he saw it approaching, the damn thing was the size of a bus, a fucking bus. Now Ed was a reasonable man, but the fact that they were this big almost made him shit his pants.

"Ed turn on your Unleashed Mode"

"And if you can't turn it on in here just snap your own neck"

He guessed they were both scared of the creature just as much as he was as he saw a katana levitate down in front of him. He had guessed this was his weapon as he saw the countdown start from 10 pop up. He just cracked a funny smile as his eyes turned blue with a flash and his head twitched.

"I really, really, fucking, hate... Spiders" And before the timer even hit 1 he had grabbed the katana and disappeared in a blur
