Chapters Chapter 1: The Wings of Purple
Savior
Pain. That's all you can feel.
Darkness. It is the only thing you can see.
You want to know where you are, but you are too weak to open your eyes. A breeze passes as it freezes your probably broken bones. What happened? You can't seem to remember, but you probably don't want to remember. The confusion in your mind only fueled the throbbing in your head. Your body is screaming for you to pass out, numb everything. But you know a coma is bound happen soon afterward. You gingerly open your eyes. You see a sky; a night sky. A moon and twinkling stars to boot.
"Great", You mutter through shallow breathes. Outside is not where you want to be in your state. Not to mention the chilly air that is slowly numbing you. You glide your hand on the stone floor. Wait, stone? You realize that you are inside, or at least in some sort of shelter. You turn your head to met with agonizing pain. But you manage and see crumbled walls. They look as if the oldest civilization made them. You wonder if anybody lived here. You give it a go.
"Hello"? You know you can't raise your voice so it sounds more like silent muffle. You sigh. Is this how it will end? Me waiting for death to take me? You think this as your vision starts to blur. You then plunge back into the darkness that once took you.
Why? You couldn't think of why someone such as your self would deserve this. Your floating now, in darkness. You've come accustomed to darkness. You treat it with respect, just as it has done to you. It's your only friend right now. That's all you really need right now. A friend. A friend that will listen, and darkness does that. As you are there, floating with darkness, memories start to come back. They are not big ones. They're more like bits. You see your dad. He picks you up on his shoulders as you watch little missiles explode in the sky. You remember that. That was your first time you saw fireworks. How it amazed you. How you would see them sizzle into the lake. You wanted to feel that joy again. As you reach for the scene you are pulled back as it vanishes just as fast as it came. I guess darkness knows that joy like that can't happen right now.
You see something else. No, you hear something else. Bells. Church bells to be exact. You knew this day all too well. It was your mother's funeral. You saw that nobody was there. You remember that you stayed thirty minutes longer after it was over. You see yourself with an orchid in hand. You can feel tears in your eyes. The same tears that you felt that day. You drift closer to the image and feel the sorrow radiating off of it. Darkness knows; knows I've had enough. That vision also drifts away. The question pops up again. Why? Then, you hear noises. Feint noises. Then you see light. Darkness waves goodbye as I hear it again.
Footsteps. Your eyes shoot open. Where were you? You glance around to see that you were still immobilized on the chipped up floor. But, this train of thought ends when you here it come closer. No, not footsteps. Hoofsteps? Did they have steeds? You can't look behind yourself as the get closer. Your anxiety overtakes as you here a voice.
"Oh my!" The ability of sight fades as you here worried words from someone. You can't tell what they are exactly but you see one thing before darkness takes you back to your hell. Wings. Wings of an angel. But one question came to mind; why were they purple? Then you happily greeted darkness again.
Chapter 3: Twilight Sparkle the Angel
Again. "Why must I always be used by Darkness?" You think. You don't have time to spend with him, so you force yourself awake. As you awaken you quickly scan the area to see the lavender pony startled. You realize your mistake and calmly sit down on the bed.
"Can I ask you a question?" she asks. "I'd like to know what you are and why you were so busted up by the castle?" She has a worried expression. Does she actually care about you? You don't see any reason not to answer so you try with as much memory as you have.
"I'm a human if your first question was that. Am I right?" She nods as you continue. "For the other one, I really don't know." You apologize as you are still confused yourself on how this all happened.
"Suffers amnesia..." She mumbles as she scribbles on a notebook with a pencil that she is using with what you can only assume to be magic. "Now, to answer your questions, my name is Twilight Sparkle. I am an alicorn that lives in this library, and you are in Ponyville." You look around to see the vast amounts of books in the room. "I saw you in the castle of the two sisters while I was reading there. You looked banged up and I didn't know what to do so I brought you here." You wonder if that is true or not, but she seemed genuine.
"So, Twilight. Since I'm guessing that no other humans live here considering you asked me what I am, Are you the only one who knows who I am?" This was an important question. You really didn't want to cause more chaos than there already is.
"Yes. But, I am going to tell Celestia about this." Twilight walks over to a book shelf.
"Who?" You ask.
"Celestia. She's the ruler of our lands. Here, see?" She levitates a big book to you and translates what it says as you see a big white alicorn with flowing hair. She looked majestic. "Anyway, she will have to know about this sooner or later. I'm thinking about waiting until your better and my friends know first." You ask who her friends are, but she just says it'll be easier if you meet them first. She offers you tea and she tells you about her life. As you listen she asks you about yourself, but realizes your amnesia won't allow it. Maybe the angel did come to give me something more. And that angel's name is Twilight Sparkle.
Chapter 4: Meeting New Friends
"Wait! You want me to do what?!" You say as Twilight tries to explain her reasons to you.
"Please, just hear me out." She closes he book and looks straight at you with pleading but firm eyes. "I know how I said my friends should come meet you,"- You nod in approval -"but my schedule is really full right now. I can't have them all here right now. So, I just need you to go meet them." She smiles as she hands you a map like you had agreed to this task. You ponder. Should You do this? You would seem ungrateful if You didn't.
"Okay, I'll do it. But one question." You state.
"What is that?" She asks as walks closer.
"Will you be my friend?" You didn't have anybody, except Darkness. But, she was different.
Then, she does something; something you haven't felt in a long time.
She hugs you.
It wasn't a long hug.
But, it was a hug.
You hadn't felt that kind of affection for as long as you could remember (Which doesn't amount to much because you can't seem to remember much to begin with.). You don't have a chance to enjoy it as she pulls away and says "Of course. Nopony should be left without a friend." You decide your time to go "meet new friends" has arrived after a few hours of self-preparation as you take the map and walk your way out into town.
It's a nice day out. It was definitely breezy, which brought back memories of your near-death situation last night. As you enjoy the scenery, you notice something. Stares. Every single pony you pass by gave some sort of look to you. It looked like they wanted to bolt rather than say a happy "hello". Good thing that wasn't who you you were looking for. You aren't checking the map though.
You break away from the path of the town and stubble upon a meadow. It was blowing with blades of soft green grass. You see something odd though. A streak of clouds. And rainbow colors. They were following you ever since you left the library. But, what's even more odd about it is: they're coming straight at you. You hear a loud war cry, and just like that. Darkness. He saved you, or at least that's what you think. You think again. Nothing. You try to leave Darkness but he keeps you in place.
"Just a little longer," You whisper. "Just a little longer."
Ugh... God. You can't take it. You can feel yourself being carried away, but darkness only shrouds your vision and the many questions you wish to ask. You remember everything before you revisited darkness. Rainbows. An odd mix of colors to be honest. You were never fond of rainbows. You enjoyed just one color at a time, yellow being your favorite. But, now all you see is black. Fitting. You mentally chuckle at nothing in particular. You just think. Think. You realize that you need to be ready for what you'll wake up to considering you're in another world that you know nothing about. Wait... Stupid! Why did you listen to that purple alicorn? You shake your head in frustration in the dark void your so painfully used to. It all comes back. Your common sense. She probably knew what would happen to you, and you listened.
Pain. Your senses are starting to come back. That also means feeling, and all you feel is a migraine coming. Darkness fades to yet another bed that isn't yours. Great. You ignore your pain as you sit up to a more subtle bedroom. A cottage maybe? You can usually tell when a place is pretty small. Your {e/c} eyes scan the room. There's a white rabbit drilling holes in you with its glare. Obviously you weren't an expected guest. You open your mouth to say something, but just as fast the bunny hops out the door and down the hall. You shrug. Oh well. The headache you had seems to be gone, so you make the effort to climb out of bed. You also take the time to admire the room. The wallpaper sparks your interest as you glide your hand gently across it. It's a little faded but you can tell that the pattern is butterflies. "This room must be to someone- or something female.", You quietly note. You then notice the not loud, but heated argument that you can only guess has been going on downstairs for a good hour or so. You brush a strand of {h/c} hair out of your face as you try to stealthily make your way downstairs.
You peer through the wooden guardrail on the stairs to see two pegasi arguing. You keep quiet, in case the feud has anything to do with you. "I'm telling you that thing is dangerous!", you hear the blue one warn the other. You can't stop staring at the most noticeable thing about her. Rainbows. Was she the one who caused your blackout? You push it into the back of your mind as you turn your focus back to the problem at hand.
"How do you know? You never gave it a chance!", The other one yells back. This one is yellow with a long pink mane. You can tell she probably doesn't talk this loudly or assertively a lot as you can still hear the softness in her voice. She looks like she's going to say something else, but is stopped by the same bunny that you met earlier. "Oh! He's awake?" She turns to the rainbow-maned pegasus who still seems to be sour over the whole ordeal. "We'll finish this later.", She states boldly. She looks to the stairs to meet your {e/c} orbs meeting her turquoise ones. Shit. You quickly, but quietly, head to the bedroom. You don't think the other one noticed you, but that look of silent shock off of that yellow face makes you regret eavesdropping in the first place. You reach the bedroom and sit on the edge of the soft surface. You swing your head to the door which slowly creaks open to reveal a timid pegasus. "I-I'm sorry you had to see that. It's just that, I couldn't let her get away with hurting an innocent being like that." She glances away which she follows with a squeak. You can't help but chuckle a little. You've never had anyone care about you with such ambition.
"Thanks. What's your name. Sorry, I just never caught it through all of this." You give her a toothy grin as a sign of assurance. You can tell it does the trick because She lights up a bit.
"It's Fluttershy." She gives you a smile in exchange. You realize she's moved next to you on the edge of the bed. You guess she senses your discomfort, so she sways over to her nightstand and starts a conversation while searching for something. "Does it hurt?" You give her a confused look. She giggles. "I mean your head. You took a hard hit you know. I'm surprised you woke as early as you did." You simply shrug and say that your used to it with a knock on the head for emphasis. You glance at her as she rummages through the nightstand. There's just something about her. Your eyes glide lower until you notice the same pattern on the wall. Butterflies. So, this is her room? Your eyes are fixated on her flank until you turn away with angry guilt.
"No. She's too nice. Taking advantage of her would be inhumane.", You think with a nod to yourself. She walks back with a jacket as your mental struggles are put on hold. It's your jacket. You had never noticed that it hadn't been on your shoulders ever since you arrived in Equestria. You carefully take it back with a "thank you" and put on the {f/c} piece of clothing. Still fits. There's an awkward silence that's followed by your voice. "I-I've never had anyone been so kind to me." You don't want to cry in front of this angel, but a tear can't help but slide down your {s/c} cheek. She lets a soft smile form. She then flies up to your eye level and gives you a hug. This isn't like the hug Twilight gave you. This was a loving hug. The kind of hug a child gives to their parents. A real hug. You're in so much shock that you forget to hug her back. She pulls back after a long embrace and glances away. You both are filled with an awkward vibe as you both turn away blushing. She looks up with a "I almost forgot" face.
"I need to go feed the animals!" She almost runs out the door before stopping herself. "Will you be alright waiting here for a minute? I'll be right up afterward." You nod. She thanks you about five times before remembering why she even thanked you. She runs out as you get a glance at haunches again. Damnnit!
"Why does that keep happening?", You question to yourself as you try to wave away the heat in your cheeks. You sigh as you readjust your jacket and sit back down on Fluttershy's bed and try and think about other things. But, all that comes to mind is the scene that transpired a minute ago. Pervert. You groan at the realization of it all as you let your mind roam into Darkness again. Fluttershy the Angel. It has a ring.
Chapter 6: The Decision between Angels
Later
So much. So much has transpired. You're still sitting on Fluttershy's bed. The room has actually started to become rather dull because of the hours of looking at it. Nonetheless, You take this chance to reminisce on everything.
Ok, first, I woke up in the middle of nowhere. Not so terrifying. NEXT, A purple equine saves me from death. Not so bad either. Then- WAIT! You realize you had totally forgotten about Twilight and your promise to her. You have no idea where you actually are. To make it worse, she's probably worried sick about you. Or worse , she's going to kill you. Before You pass out again from stress, you take a breath and think positive. Now, I wasn't remotely far from Ponyville, and the Rainbow pegasus, who I'm guessing was the reason for me being here, was following me ever since I had left the library. This means I'm probably still in Ponyville. You mentally sigh and pat yourself on the back for making note of your location. You continue you thinking train. That would also mean she's friends with Twilight. And, if she brought me to Fluttershy . . . that would suggest she's friends with her too. . You scrunch your index finger on your forehead as you piece all this information together.
EUREKA! You jump up. That means that Fluttershy is also friends with Twilight. Plus, those two pegasi are probably two of the five friends you were to find that day. You finish you brainstorm with a wide grin. As you bask in your mental victory, your eyes unintentionally glance toward the clock. 5:50. Fluttershy has been gone for at least thirty minutes (counting your thinking episode). You straighten your jacket as you decide to head down the wooden stairs to find her. You look around the cozy abode. There were critters here and there that would scurry away from you. Typical. You head out the front door not wanting to waste anymore daylight to feel the cool breeze gust against your face. Another breezy day. You stop to think again.
Where would a pegasus be at this time? You ask yourself as you stand on the bridge that is keeping you above the small brook near Fluttershy's house. You don't know your way around town, so wandering might not be the brightest of ideas. Before you come up with more random questions that probably won't be answered, the bunny that kept giving you that cute but mean glare tapped the back of you calf. You turn around and give it a quizzical look. It sighs at your obliviousness and starts hopping down the path. I guess it wanted me to follow it, You shrug as you really have no other choice but to follow its trail.
Small time skip
You groan. This rabbit has been dragging for about twenty minutes through the same damn meadow you had been laid out on earlier that day. The sun has already started to set. "Okay, where are we going?" You ask grumpily as you tower of the small creature. It turns and gives you a look that pretty much said you no right asking that question. Just who does it think it is? You suck it up and keep trudging. Then you stop. You are going to just about blow you top over this stupid rabbit's actions, but then it rolls its eyes and point up.
"Oh! Thank you for bringing him, Angel!" You look up to see Fluttershy calling from a giant cloud. I mean a BIG cloud. It was more like a mansion then anything, but regardless you can't stop your jaw from dropping at the sight of it. How could something this beautiful be made? You have absolutely no idea. You shake yourself from your daze as the yellow mare glides down to you.
"H-Hi, {f/n}. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to try and bring you to Rainbow's house to talk..." She trails off in a fit of shyness. You shrug and say your cool with it. Then you realize she meant up there to talk. You were never really afraid of heights, but the thought of actually falling terrified you. And also, a cloud? How would you stand up there? You hope that because you're in a different world, you would be able to stand up there. Then, there's Fluttershy. You ask her if she's strong enough to lift you. You weren't sure you were light enough to be picked up by the meek little pony. She said 'yes', but it didn't sound too confident. C'mon. When is anything she says completely confident. You go off of that philosophy and allow her to try and lift you.
After a terrifying three minutes of hoping not to be dropped like a sack of bricks, you make it. Fluttershy isn't fairing any better as she is panting heavily. She manages to keep a smile though. How does she do it? Anyway, you are more surprised that you are standing on a FREAKING CLOUD! Fluttershy quickly briefs you that only pegasi can stand on clouds, but she didn't know about humans. You assumed her friend pressured her but brushed it off. You both walk into the structure.
"What took you so long?" You see the rainbow pony as irritated as ever. You go to explain your predicament before she has you against one of the walls questioning you like a criminal. You definitely weren't friends yet."SO, What did you do to Twilight? Why were you heading for MY house? Who are you- better question is WHAT are you? What are you doing here? W-" Her barrage of questions are cut short by a now rather intimidating yellow pony.
"Rainbow Dash. We need to talk. Now ," She seethed through her now clenched teeth. You are terrified. Lucky she wasn't looking at you. But, Rainbow seemed unaffected. Instead, it seemed to piss her off even further. She lets you go. They both hover over to the kitchen while still trying to kill each other with looks. You try to keep yourself composed, but this is a little much for you.
Did I cause this? What does Rainbow have against me? And, why do they keep going at each other like that. These questions swarm in you head as you continue to sit in the same corner Dash had you up against. After a couple minutes of discussing you couldn't hear from the other room, Rainbow comes back to you. She's looking down almost guiltily. You figure the "talk" was used against her. Y'know, the talk that your parents give you in the bathroom after you did something wrong in public. The one that turns you into the perfect child for the rest of the time because of the whispered threats or just pure anger in their voices. That's what happened here. You step back a little as she slowly mopes toward you.
"Look, I'm not gonna kill you alright?" The blue mare states plainly. You mentally sigh. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have treated you like a monster, even if you look like one." Gee, thanks. "Anyway, the name's Rainbow Dash.," She said with a hoof to her chest. You introduce yourself and as hard as it was, you forgive her. "I know we kind of got off on the wrong hoof there, but do you want to y'know... start over?" You think for a minute.
And that's what you did.
1 hour later
"Wow, that must've been rough." You had decided to answer all you could to Rainbow about your arrival to Equestria and what else that hadn't been knocked out of your memory. You had just finished up you horrible experience about your arrival a couple days ago. You shrug at her comment. You were used to fainting, so it wasn't that big of a surprise. It also came to you how cool Rainbow could be once you got to know her. Sure, she was a little brash and cocky, but overall she cared about her friends no matter what. You then asked the pegasus about Fluttershy's location. "Oh, her . . ." She looked down and sighed. " . . . Fluttershy went home. She said something about her animals, but I know it's because she's mad at me." You can't really tell if she's mad or not about it until her next words come out next words come out.
"I just don't know why. I mean, I said sorry. I meant it too." Dash looks to you with her magenta eyes. They look a little watery. "You believe me . . . right?" You aren't sure what to say at this point. You think back to Fluttershy. Did Dash really do something so bad to have her storm off? You then look at Rainbow Dash. She seems really sincere.
You make your decision. "Of course I believe in you. I think that if we could both tell Fluttershy about how you feel, she wouldn't feel so stressed." That sets her off.
"Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" She pulls into a quick but rib-crushing hug. She sees your problem and lets you down. You sigh and chuckle at her reaction. She laughs right back and allows you to stay at her place for the night. "You can stay with me for the night," Dash says as she guides you to the guest room. She must've saw you uneasiness and reassured you. "Don't worry; I'll give Twilight the heads up tomorrow and we can get things sorted out." You nod and give her a half smile as she walks away to get some shut-eye. You walk over to the bed and think again.
I can't believe I betrayed Fluttershy like that. After all she did for me... You then feel a feeling you hadn't felt in a while; Confidence. No, I did the right thing. Rainbow Dash is innocent. I just . . . know it. Then again, I don't know all of the backstory behind their fights. I know I wasn't the only cause for this. You twiddle with the collar of your folded up jacket on the nightstand as you continue. I'm probably the spark of their emotional gunpowder keg. You sigh as you get up and walk to the window. The stars are burning brightly. The view is amazing. Hopefully, tomorrow will bring me some answers. You walk back to the bed and let Darkness welcome you back.

She said something about her animals, but I know it's because she's mad at me." You can't really tell if she's mad or not about it until her next words come out next words come out.
"I just don't know why. I mean, I said sorry. I meant it too." Dash looks to you with her magenta eyes. They look a little watery. "You believe me . . . right?" You aren't sure what to say at this point. You think back to Fluttershy. Did Dash really do something so bad to have her storm off? You then look at Rainbow Dash. She seems really sincere. No, Fluttershy wouldn't just run like that unless something realy upset her.
"I believe you're sorry"- Rainbow's eyes light up only to be shot down by your next statement- ", but I also believe that maybe sorry isn't going to cut it if it made Fluttershy react that way." She looks at you with disbelief. Inside, you want to just break down and apologize yourself, but you have made your decision and there's no turning back. You notice something. Her magenta eyes look at you with rage, betrayal, and many other emotions that just keep battering at your regret for your choice.
"Get out." She points to the door. Your confidence crumbles as you look to the door and then back at Rainbow.
"Wait, I-" She takes your coat collar and reels you into her glare. You can see it. You can see what will happen next if you don't listen.
"I said get out. Now. " You look to the floor as you put your hands over your head.
"Okay. C-Can you at least take me to the ground though?"
That Night
One job. I had one job. And I failed. You gaze up at the clouds that are blotting out the stars you yearned to see that night. Who am I kidding. I don't deserve to be happy right now. I failed Twilight, Fluttershy, and Rainbow especially. Rainbow had been kind enough to let you live when she brought you to the meadow below her house, but that's about it. You had then walked until you reached a spot to rest for the night. Now, here you are. You shiver slightly as a chilly breeze brushes your hair. You huddle into your jacket as you slowly drift into a painful sleep.

Darkness. He's back. You don't speak to him. You never do. You wonder about that angel. You wonder if it came to take you away from Darkness, to give you something greater. Darkness knows this. He is a part of you now. He knows everything you do. And you both know you should wake up
So you do. Your surprised. Very surprised. You can sit up, and body isn't aching anymore. You do have a slight headache, but that is nothing compared to what you had experienced before. You start observing. You've always been a curious one, so observing is like second nature to you. First, you're lying in a bed, but it's not your bed. It has bed sheets of constellations. Some of them you saw last night. You notice the walls are wood, oak to be exact. You glance at the bed stand and clutch the glass of water on it. You drink it carefully, not wanting to spill it. As you put it down a knock can be heard.
"Hello? Can I come in?" The voice calls out. It sounds like the angel! You call back with a brief "yes" to be met with something astonishing. Maybe Darkness is playing tricks on you. You see a lavender unicorn, no wait, pegasus? It had both a horn and wings. Was it both? Either way it couldn't be real. You were always fascinated by mythical creatures, but never in your life would you expect one to be face to face with you. You are too lost in thought to realize you are giving it a very blank stare. It gives you a similarly confused look.
"What are you?"
"I should be asking you that!"
It speaks. It sounded female, but you weren't sure. All of a sudden, just when you were going to apologize, the pain comes back. You mutter unidentifiable words before falling over. You get hit with déjà vu. "Just like last night," you think before being reunited with Darkness. But you hear something
"I guess I should let him rest for another hour. Then he should be fine."-finished with hoofsteps walking away from your form. Who was this mythical angel? Curse Darkness and his jealousy. I know he doesn't want me to know, but I need to. Soon.
