Chapter 1: This is why I stay in my van!
Chapter 1-A
The multiverse, an infinite horizon of limitless possibilities. This is a tale of a boy who by accident stumbles into a fantastic new realm he has never seen before, and it all starts at the end of a battle with an ancient war machine with his family the earthbound alien creatures known as Crystal Gems…Amethyst, Garnet, and Pearl.
In the heat of battle within an abandoned Gem ruin, the four Crystal Gems have found and defended the war machine, The Prism. The light particle metal body of the Prism finally fell down to the ground and glowed a last beam of light before it returned to its small light prism form. The three elder Gems let out a tired sigh of relief. To weaken The Prism, they had to collect its colored essences and fight it which made even the mighty Crystal Gems tired. Steven slowly walked over to the prism and picked it up to see it now lifeless.
Earlier before the battle, Pearl explained to Steven that the Prisms were Gem war machines that could create almost anything out of light particles. Steven when he first saw it days ago touched it and by accident activated it. A trying day indeed but the Crystal Gems won…however Steven was walking back to his Gem family when without warning the Prism shined bright in a rainbow color, blinding the Gems for a moment until the light vanished along with Steven.
Steven held onto the Prism which was now warping him into some unknown warp-space. He yelled for some time when he heard a voice from the Prism.
‘Master…you said I could be anything I wanted, that I could be more than a machine of war…I want to live and to see others live in harmony…I am sorry I took you from your world…find me and I will send you back to Earth…’
In another flash of blinding rainbow light Steven let go to the Prism and fell from warp-space.
. . . .
In the dark of night, the little town of Ponyville slept peacefully. Every one of the townsfolk were dreaming of various wonders they will hope to meet in the morning. Knowing that the Princess of the Night watched protectively over them was a comforting fact.
“Twilight? Why are you still awake?” A small purple dragon questioned the purple alicorn peering into her telescope from the observation room of her castle.
“Hmm?” Twilight looked over to her assistant. “Oh, just looking at the stars. Since we had that big rain storm the sky has been really clear. So I am taking advantage of that to peer into the deep beyond. I wonder… What other kinds of life could be out there? Super intelligent beings that are probably already traveling through space and exploring its many wonders? Or maybe a race that is like ours and is looking out into space wondering the same thing? Or maybe a…” Her wondering was cut off by the sounds of snoring. She turned to see Spike flat on the ground in deep sleep from her talking. She frowned and levitated Spike back into his bed. After seeing he was in his bed, she went straight back to her telescope to peer at the stars and wondering what’s out in the vast openness.
To makes matters worse for the sleeping Spike, he could slightly hear singing coming from Twilight. “What is this space filled with so many wonders?” Her singing ended as a pillow struck the back of her head.
“Trying to sleep over here!” Spike yelled as she growled at him.
“Careful Spike! I don’t want this telescope damaged!”
“Yeah yeah. Just stop singing!”
Twilight returned his answer with an annoyed huff as she looked back into her telescope.
. . . .
“How many times are you going to stay up, looking at the stars?”
“How many times are you going to ask me that question Spike?”
“Until you give me a definitive answer.”
“Ugh! Tonight, there is going to be a meteor shower. I want to catalogue it for my space studies.”
“Then why are you in here? Shouldn’t you be outside?”
“Because, Spike, I’m…” Twilight froze at the sudden realization. “You’re right! Why am I in here when I could get a much better view out there?” She quickly started gathering supplies to watch the meteors.
“Beats me.”
“Thank you Spike, care to join me?” Twilight asked the baby dragon as she started out the door with her saddle bags packed and a levitating telescope in tow.
“Nah, I’ll stay here and catch up on some sleep.”
“If you say so.” Twilight headed out to the open field outside of Ponyville to where her friend usually gathered for stargazing. “Why didn’t I invite the girls? This night is perfect! What has gotten into me these past few days? Oh well.” Twilight sighed and set up her stargazing post. A blanket, her telescope, some snacks, some ink, a quill, and a journal to write down her observations “Ooh I’m so excited, it should be starting soon.” As she spoke, the space rocks began to fall into the planet’s atmosphere, burning up into nothing but minuscule dust particles, except for one.
“Ooh, they’re so pretty!” Twilight squealed with excitement as she magically wrote in her journal. “That one is big.” She focused in on one meteor that didn’t seem to be burning up. Looking rose pink, she soon found that it was a large sphere. This meteor is certainly strange.
“Unless…” She gasped and looked back through the telescope.
“Could it be? An alien?” A wide grin formed on her face as she peered at the UFO. “It seems to be moving towards… me!” Her smile shrank as fear washed over her body. There was a fast, hot, big, probably heavy, space object heading straight towards her. Realizing what would happen if she didn’t move caused her to bolt back into town with a loud scream of terror.
As she ran closer to town she heard the loud boom of the object crashing into the ground. Looking back, she saw the object had landed near the Everfree forest, right near the small cottage that was owned by…
“Oh my… Fluttershy!” Twilight screamed as she abruptly changed her course from town to her timid friend’s house. All that could be seen was a light pillar of smoke leading to a crater. The crater wasn’t too big, it was big enough for a full grown cow to fit snuggly inside it. Twilight disregarded the crater and went straight to Fluttershy’s cottage only few yards away from the crash site.
Without knocking, Twilight burst into her house. Scattered around the house were many small critters with terrified faces and silently directing Twilight towards the stairs to Fluttershy’s bedroom.
“F-Fluttershy? Are you alright?” Getting no response she went straight into her bedroom, it was dark and incredibly silent. “Fluttershy? It’s me, Twilight.” She spotted a puddle surrounding a tea cup to the side of the bed and the bed was making slight movements similar to shivering.
“Tw-Twilight? Wh-what happened?” A quiet voice came from underneath the bed.
“A meteor crashed down near here. It’s okay, you can come out from under the bed. It’s over.”
“I-If you say so.” The yellow Pegasus slowly exited the comfort of the underside of her bed and followed her friend down the stairs and outside. She froze as she peered over to the crash site. Fluttershy was quite worried about her animal friends near the crater, but soon she was relieved that the animals were safe and had just ran away from it.
Twilight walked to the crater to see a large rose-pink bubble sitting in the center. Twilight was about to study it farther until the bubble popped like a balloon and the sound of something groaning from it made he back away a bit. Twilight found her nerve and used her magic to pull whatever was in the crater to her hooves. To her surprise it was a young human boy in a red t-shirt that reminded her of the other realm of humans, but so many questions popped in her head that she decided to take him to Fluttershy’s cottage and go from there.
Chapter 2: Some Explanations.
Chapter 1-B
Fluttershy let Twilight check on the crater of that strange object from the sky as she made sure her smaller animals were safe inside her cottage. After counting the little animal families, she took solace that no pony or animal was hurt. To her surprise, Twilight opened the door and within her magic was a strange creature.
“Twilight, what is that?” Fluttershy asked.
“Well, it’s no alien, I think… it looks kinda like a human from that mirror realm, but a bit different.” Twilight told a concerned Fluttershy as she put the creature on the soft floor rug.
“What should we do?”
“Well if you don’t mind me, I’m going to make some observations on this thing.” Twilight took a nearby notepad and pencil to write down what she believed this creature really was.
Twilight looked over the creature as it lied on its back, sleeping soundly. This thing was the size of a pony and had fingers, sort of like Spike’s talons, it wore a red t-shirt with a golden star on the chest, and blue pants. It was human, but the thing that made it so different was that rose-colored gem in its stomach as it seemed to be a part of its body and radiated magical energies.
. . . .
Unbenounced to the two ponies, Steven was in a strange dream or more likely a memory of the start of the previous day.
Steven was playing a game on the couch when the warp pad activated and his family, the Crystal Gems...Amethyst, Garnet, and Pearl came back from another Gem mission. Steven ran to them, seeing Garnet holding a strange Gem item.
“What is that?!” Steven was always excited to see what the Gems brought back.
“This is an ancient Gem weapon. In the hands of a powerful gem, it could create anything from weapons, starships, even mindless soldier monsters from light particles.” Pearl pointed at the Prism in hopes of teaching Steven more of his Gem culture.
“Can I see it?”
“Oh no, absolutely not, it’s very dangerous...in the hands of a powerful Gem...in fact none of us could get it to activate…” Pearl was thinking it may be broken like most of the ancient Gem items they found.
“Yeah, and in the hands of Steven...not so dangerous, so it won’t hurt to let him see it.” Amethyst gave her approval.
“Alright, but be careful Steven.” Garnet placed the Prism into Steven’s hands.
In the moment it Steven’s hands, the Prism activated, shining in a rainbow colored light and from it shot out the control creature that worked as the Prism’s spirit. However before it could completely come to full form, Garnet smashed it into pieces with one hit from her gauntlets. The light creature then split into six colored lights and started Steven and his friends on a quest to collect the light pieces…
Only now did Steven slowly awaken.
. . . .
Twilight was about to examine the creature more when it awoke and stood up in front of her. Twilight and Steven looked into each other’s eyes for a minute before they both freaked out and screamed while not moving at all. Fluttershy grabbed Twilight and calmed her down, which also calmed Steven down too.
“Who are you?” The young boy asked.
“My name is Twilight Sparkle and this is my friend Fluttershy...are you a human?”
“Kinda...My name is Steven Universe.”
With that out there, the two walked closer to each other after gathering that neither was a threat. Twilight learned from this ‘Steven’ that he and his family were fighting a strange magical device that warped him to Equestria. She would ask more but Steven was tired and Fluttershy offered her sofa until the morning to sort everything out. Twilight decided to stay with Fluttershy to watch over Steven until morning.
