I will get you Celestia...
Luna slowly made her way to the court room, utterly annoyed when she reached the large door. Why did Celestia get to go straight to the feast and she have to attend night court. Luna let out an exasperated sigh as she opened the door and strode in.
She took her seat on a throne and began to look around for even the slightest excuse to call court to a close and leave. No such luck as the doors opened to reveal who she would be judging.
"Night Court is now open, Princess Luna presiding. Send in the first petitioner!"
Luna slumped against the arm of her chair, face sour. Curse her sister for making her attend to night court first! She was going to have to arrive late, and that would be awkward, and no doubt her sister would eat all the good pastries before she got thereā¦
"Presenting his lordship, Prince Blueblood!" the Night Guard nearest the door said, his face betraying his sympathy for the princess, who was now grinding her teeth and headbutting the arm of her chair.
She was never going to make it to the dinner on time. Luna sat back and half listened as she scanned her mind for what she would do to Celestia when she got to the dinner. "What is your complaint," she said, not even trying to hide her annoyance as the defendant walked in.
"Well, I demand that this peasant be banished!" Blueblood exclaimed as he motioned to a mare who was most likely one of his servants.
Luna rolled her eyes, "and what, pray-tell, did this mare do Blueblood." Luna shook her head. This wasn't the first time Blueblood had done this. I'm going to have to get Tia good for this one. Perhaps I could take her cheat day cupcakes from her room, hmm.... nope thats not enough, but I will do that.
"Well, she served me my carrots with potatoes, such commoner food touched my royal tongue and I will not stand for it! On top of that the carrots weren't pealed before they were cooked!"
Maybe i could stuff her pillow with sneeze powder? "What does the defendant say to counter this claim?" Luna asked halfheartedly.
"I didn't cook it I just served it! Blueblood never wanted his carrots peeled before!" The server pony claimed.
"Blueblood, she won't be banished for such preposterous reasons. The court rules in favor of Miss Feather. Miss Feather you will be reassigned to a more likable and higher paying job. Dismissed."
"Preposterous! This is not to be taken lightly! I have needs and those needs must be met!"
"I said you are dismissed. Now either leave now or I have half a mind toss you out myself! Literally!" That was all the encouragement Blueblood needed as he quickly made his way to the door. Luna sat through three more pointless cases of snobbish nobles fighting over pointless things. One was over who saw a necklace first. A necklace! Luna asked to see it and it turned out to be quite pretty as it was a leaf beautifully designed on a bronze chain.
She paid the jeweler for the necklace and told the nobles that if they were to fight over such a thing then the solution was that neither would get it. Needless to say, neither left all that happy. This would be a good gift for Applejack. Now back to what I am to do about my sister. Perhaps I could fill her shoes with mud? Nope still not enough, I could do all three but I still need more.
Luna sat down again and waited to hear the next case. It was a dispute over who would get a piece of land since both paid equally for it. Luna bashed her head against the back of her throne and let out a frustrated gasp. "You know what? I'm done! The landowner will give neither of you the land and it will go to someone more deserving! Case dismissed. Night Court has come to close."
"But princess, there are still five more cases," one of the jurors said.
"I do not care, dump them on my sister's list of cases for tomorrow. I am late for an important dinner that my sister is currently attending." With that, Luna strut out of the court room and slammed the door to prove her point. She made her way to her sister's room and filled all her pillows and cushions with sneeze powder. She also grabbed Celestia's stash of cheat treats and gave some to the servants and guards as hush fee to not tell her sister about all the sneeze powder in the pillows and, just because, itch powder all over the bed sheets. That last part was a last minute thing. She ate the other few treats and made her way out of the castle and towards Sweet Apple Acres.
I will have to put mud in her shoes later, now for what I do to Tia directly. Luna scanned her options until she settled on the best one she had. Luna smiled wickedly as Sweet Apple Acres came into view. She landed and looked at Celestia, who was currently eating the last of the moon cakes, those were Luna's favorite. "Tia!"
Celestia looked at her little sister and smiled. "Sorry Lulu, all you favorite things are gone."
Luna's jaw dropped. "You did that on purpose!" Luna cast a spell that caused Celestia to face plant into the remains of her meal and start snoring instantly. Everypony stared for a second before they burst out laughing and Twilight left for some reason. Luna didn't bother to wonder why as she was to busy casting a spell strong enough to get past Celestia's natural immunity to spells. After a few minutes Luna was finally able to build up enough power as the spell took affect and slowly grew out a freakishly long mustache. Once the mustache reached a suitable length Twilight and Applejack walked up and burst into laughter. Luna looked at the laughing pair. "Twilight, would you like to help me with a permanence spell on this new facial feature?" She looked at Twilight with a playful smile.
Twilight smiled to as her horn lit up. Luna charged her horn as the two ponies cast a permanency spell on the mustache that wouldn't wear off for at least a week. Just enough time for day court. Luna thought with a wicked smile.
Applejack walked up to Luna. "How long will that last?"
"Long enough, I have something for you." Luna pulled out the necklace and latched it around Applejack's neck. "It suits you."
"Thanks," Applejack said. "It was the moon cakes wasn't it?"
"You already know me so well and you only just gained your royal status. That was part of it, yes."
Applejack laughed. "Granny saved ya a plate. Also, ah figured ya liked moon cakes. Here," Applejack held up a moon cake. "Ah was able ta save two of em', already ate mine." Applejack gave the pastry to Luna.
The alicorn smiled widely as she took the treat and promptly stuff it into her mouth. She enjoyed the plate of food that Granny Smith had set aside for her and joined in on the celebration.
After a few hours of fun, Luna woke up Celestia and they went back to the castle. They walked into Celestia's room where the Sun Princess took her crown off and faced her sister. "Was the mustache and permanency spell absolutely necessary?"
Luna smiled wickedly, "Absolutely."
Celestia rolled her eyes as she removed her shoes and turned to her bed. Luna smiled as she conjured some mud and put it in Celestia's shoes as well as her slippers for good measure. "Sleep well, dear sister." Luna turned and left, hearing Celestia snort sarcastically as she did.
Luna had just entered her room when she heard from across the hall, her sister's shouts. "*ACHOO* Seriously Luna! Sneeze powder in my pillows and itch powder on my blankets! *ACHOO* So itchy! *ACHOO* Let's see how you like it!" There was silence for a few minutes and then, "MUD!!! Seriously Luna! So mature!"
Luna burst out laughing and told the guards to make sure Celestia didn't get into her room. She also put a magical seal on her room for good measure, making sure everything was closed. She continued laughing as she climbed into bed and went to sleep.
