Futures To Pass
"Who are you!" Celestia yelled at the apparition.
"I am sorrow, I am dread and I weep for the dead." it said in a deep mornful female voice that still carried malice enough to be feared.
Celestia yelled. "Reveal your face at once," she ignited her horn. "Or face my wrath!"
It replied this time in a much more sinister tone "If you wish."
The being took on the form of a pony, a darkly colored unicorn with wings of shadow. When she opened her eyes an aura of dark blue surrounded by black escaped her eyes like Sombra. Her horn was much different from the average unicorn as it was cracked and chipped as the same aura escaped the fissures. Her wings were made of the same aura, but took on the consistency of Nightmare-moon's hair. she could see the color of the mare though not the cutie mark. The spirit then rushed Celestia. Celestia responded by firing a powerful spell directly at the chest of her foe, the shot hit its mark, but the mare didn't even blink and even sped up. She jumped at Celestia while charging her magic. As soon as their bodies connected Celestia woke up in the middle of the night sweating and breathing heavily though calming down quickly.
Luna rushed in seconds later a look of worry across her face. "Is everything ok?" she asked
Celestia replied with annoyance in her voice "Yes everything is fine just the nightmare again. Were you spying on my dreams again?" She asked.
Luna replied "No because that was not a dream."
Celestia's annoyance became more dreadful, "You mean that it was a..." she inhaled deeply and swallowed hard. "...a premonition?"
"I believe so sister." Luna replied. "Was it the same as 'the' dream?"
Celestia looked to Luna. "Yes, except this time 'it' or should I say 'she' spoke."
"What did she say!?" Luna asked worried and excited at the same time.
"She said 'I am sorrow, I am dread and I weep for the dead.'" Celestia repeated the words.
They both stood there silent wondering who it could be and what to do. For a while they stood quietly, thinking.

Meanwhile in 'New Ponyville'
Twilight opened her door to her old castle, she'd heard yells from inside and came to investigate, she searched everywhere, and could now hear soft sobs in the distance. As she drew closer she found the hall where the sobs emanated from, and at the end of the hall the room. As she reached the door she recognized it immediately.
"My old room?" she whispered to no one in particular, as she reached the door she ignited her horn to open her it to reveal that the source was behind a large standing mirror covered in dust and cobwebs, but as she neared the mirror she realized it was coming from the mirror itself. as she reached the mirror she ignited her magic and turned the mirror to reveal what, or in this case, who was crying. What she found stunned her, An orange Pegasus filly that at first she did not recognize, until she scanned for a cutiemark, that's when it hit her as to who the filly was, as memories of many years ago rushed towards her like a steam train.

twilight heard a knock at her door as it was rather late she asked who it was only to receive sobs in reply as she neared her door the sobs turned into words or just one word repeated over and over 'why', nearing the door she called for Spike to get some towels from the bathroom as she realized it was raining heavily outside. after reaching the door she asked who it was again again only receiving sobs. Spike emerged from the bathroom with a few towels. Twilight took a towel and the door in her magic as she opened the door an orange pegasus mare walked in and collapsed in a pile of fur and what Twilight could only assume was blood. What caught her attention was not the blood itself but the wound which the blood escaped her, twilight's heart sank as she realized that not only was she bleeding but she smelled of cider and a note was rolled up and tucked in her limp yet closed wing she ignited her magic and cast a fire spell towards the fire place as she levitated the mare to the fire and grabbed another towel from Spike. she asked him to find the first aid kit and bring it back.
"First aid kit? We need to take her to the hospital!" he replied.
her only reply was a glare that whether she meant it or not chilled Spike to the bone. He turned to find the first aid kit and mumbled what she thought was, 'she dies then so help me...' ,though she didn't hear him at the time, she returned her gaze to the orange mare which she recognized as Scootaloo and she also realized that the cuts were superficial to her relief but were all on her cutiemark. she then remembered the note under her wing and lifted her wing and took the note which had 'To Spike' written on it. "that explains that?" she remarked aloud, as Spike returned and gave Twilight the kit and she gave him the note, reassuring him by telling him that the wounds were only skin deep. Spike was about to ask why she gave him the note then he found his name on it. He opened the note and cleared his throat by force of habit.
Dear Spike,
Yours is the final letter I deliver I am sorry but I can't take it anymore, my sister, my friends and then myself. If I wake up I want you to be the first thing I see if I do not awake then I'm sorry my brother don't weep for me, know that I'm happier where I am. I wish not to sadden you too much but, good bye. I hope you will remember the good times and not the few and far between sad ones. I give you this letter cause I couldn't leave without saying goodbye.

Spike was fighting back tears only for Twilight turn around to notice him trying to be strong, yet failing miserably as tears slowly streamed down his face. "Its OK to cry Spike." She said in a sorrowful tone in an attempt to console the saddened teenage dragon.
"No..." Spike said Not realizing he had. "NOT AGAIN!" this time he screamed those two words forcefully a visible fire in his eyes as he opened them and set his eyes on the unconscious pegasus mare, determined look on his face. Twilight decided to stay out of his way, shes heard stories of more powerful unicorns going against much younger dragons and barely making it out alive or worse. Spike glared at Twilight with a look that said shes not dying alone. as he closed in on the comatose mare he noticed something, a smell on top of the alcohol that made his heart sink. "Sleeping P-P-pills" he said under his breath as his determined walk sped up. he walked up to the mare and rubbed her mane as he passed her head and to her stomach and sniffed to be sure that he was sure that he smelled correctly, he did, and had it mattered he could have deduced the brand and how many as he stood there he whispered to himself "I'm sorry, you'll thank me." he then lined up his right leg with the space between her ribs where you would place your hands to preform the heimlich and put all his force into his hip, then knee, then finally ankle and just before he retracted his foot claws and connected with her causing her to immediately evict the contents of her stomach.
Twilight jumped at this as she ran towards the two where she saw them in a tight embrace Spike holding her as she retched multiple times to Twilight's dismay. "What the fuck Spike." She yelled.
"She had pills in her stomach and I had to get them out faster than you could react while not killing her." Spike said mater of factually.
Twilight was gonna ask why he had to be so quick, but realized that had she known she would have tried to stop him. she watched as they stayed in the embrace while spike started to sob into the now sleeping mares chest repeating the same thing over and over again, "why".

Twilight then came to, realizing that she was still in her old room still and remembered the mirror and looked but the filly had changed and now had cuts just above her hooves and a razor in her mouth covered and dripping blood. Twilight took a moment to connect the dots. once she did she was gonna try to save her, when the mirror suddenly cracked distorting the image, then reformed showing herself. what she saw chilled her beyond her bone, she saw herself just as she'd seen Scootaloo moments ago this immediately caused her look at herself and realized her face was covered in tears, but when she tried to wipe her face she found that she was bleeding from the same place as Scootaloo. she then jumped and looked at her hooves in horror as they gushed blood to the beat of her heart which had sped up at this. she then closed her eyes and shook her head violently, as she screamed, "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...!" as she jolted awake in her bed, sitting up soaking wet with what she'd hoped was sweat, it was morning as the sun was completely above the horizon and still rising.
She looked at her hooves if only to reassure herself that she had in fact been dreaming, she sighed in relief as she saw not a mark on herself. "What the fuck was that about, that's the third time this week.
