It's Esbin's turn to bring in a member of his family for Family Appreciation Day at his school and he decides to bring his father, Charles Hoofwin, to class to get to know him better. But before the weekend even starts, Esbin thinks that his father doesn't love him, so his mother tells him a story about how she first met Charles and soon leaves some information that Esbin just needs to know, how did his father become the guest of honor at the Grand Galloping Gala?
