A Dream and a Nightmare
3: Caretaker/Shelter
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAfter Twilight got my "hint" that I didn't have a family (in this world, anyhow), she took in a breath to speak...
Then she connected the dots.
If she couldn't understand me, it was probably vice versa. She had no way to communicate to me verbally. Great, how will she tell me wha--. I paused as she started waving her hoof inward. Gestures? I guess that works... I nodded, and slowly trotted inside, hoping not to be confronted with objections. I looked back, and she was closing the door. Phew. I let her go in front of me to lead. She looked at me to make sure I was following, and then she started walking.
I admired the sheer amounts of crystal contained in this castle. It was... freezing. I had to move semi-quick, but make sure not to go in front of Twilight. Finally, we approached some more giant doors. Using her magic, she opened them with ease. Hmm. I wonder if I can use magic yet...
I was greeted with the giant throne room, Golden Roots and all. My mouth was gaping open. The roof, the thrones... even the Cutie Map. Not active, but still there. Wait, where did Twilight go? I looked around until I saw her in a hallway on the left. I remember that. That's the hallway where Applejack and Fluttershy were pushing an obscure box in the second Equestria Girls. It probably was sent to Pinkie's Void.
Down the hallway were many, many rooms that we couldn't see in the show. I kept walking, back to admiring the crystal, when I bumped into the side of Twilight. She had stopped, and was turned toward one of the doorways. I stepped back, and looked at the doorway. Twilight nudged me towards it. I paused. All of this was expected up to now. What's in this doorway, only Celestia, or Twilight, may know. Twilight nudged me again. Now or never. I stepped inside...
...to be greeted by a moderately sized bedroom.
I gotta be honest, it's pretty nice. It had a bed with one of those canopy things, a dresser with a lamp, and another dresser for just storage. It was kinda like Twilight's room in the Crystal Empire from EqG 1. I looked back at Twilight, who was smiling. I smiled back, and went over and flopped on the bed. I glanced at the doorway, and Twilight was gone. Time to think out loud.
"Today has been a long da-- er, night. Wait, how did all of these contrived conditions come together like this? It's like something written by M.A. Larson. Or a bad fanfic. Either way..." I mumbled to myself. I yawned, and decided it was to turn in. I got under the covers, and soon went to sleep. In Ponyville.
This has to be a dream... But I'm not complaining.
Author's Note
Finally, I have the words to publish this fic! HUZZAH!
Also, you may be wondering what "Pinkie's Void" is. Basically, it's where Pinkie grabs her random objects out of nowhere from. If Pinkie grabs a large crate out of nowhere in a future episode, I called it.
