~~~“Agent Sizzler, are you there?”~~~ came a faint voice from the device in Acid Rains ear.
“Call me that again, Limerick, and I will personally rip your tongue out and give you to Doctor Guinea Pig to use as a lab rat,” came the hissed reply out of the side of her mouth.
“Lady Luminescence, did you happen to say something?” A concerned voice with a smooth Prench accent.
“Oh, not at all,” she said startled, “I just had a fly buzzing in my ear. So distracting and annoying. Don’t you agree?” came the poised reply, the acid undertone apparently was noticed by Limerick as the voice went silent.
“Of course my lady. Do you need anything else before you head off the dine with the Elken Lord?” The French pony inquired.
“Just a second of privacy if you will.” The butler bowed, and left the room. Acid Rain immediately slouched in her seat, dropping the guise of Lady Luminescence for a minute.
~~~“Agent Citric, you in?”~~~

“Oh for Celestia’s sake. Limerick, stop. Just stop. Your code names are horrible.” Acid snapped. “Why do you even bother?”

~~~”If you had to listen to yourself all day you would get bored too!”~~~ the voice insisted defensively.
“Oh, shut your muzzle. You have to endure only one more day of these peace treaties and then the mission is over. You can go back to whatever you do at home. I however have to take the long route. Do you think I want to go through the ruins of Ancient Fleece?”
~~~”...... Yes.”~~~

“...... Did I mention I hate you?”

~~~”Love ya too Agent Lemon Head. See you in a month!”~~~ *Click*
“LIMER--” she started and stopped suddenly. She sighed and smiled. “You turned it off. Didn’t you?..... Nevermind… I’m going to shut up now.”
An intricate knock at the door signified the start to the farewell banquet. Acid Rain got up and cleared her face of all expression. “I’m coming!” she called, taking one last look at the room she had stayed in for the last six months according the the Elkin tradition.
“Fluff. I’m going to miss this place, aren’t I?” She asked herself with a grin.
~~~”Aww the Lady is sentimental. So sweet.”~~~

“SHUT UP YOU DIRTY EAVESDROPPER” came her barking response.

“My lady, are you ok?” came a muffled voice behind the door. “Will you be out soon? The Lord is waiting to speak to you.”

Putting on a smile, Acid called Limerick a few names that would make Celestia turn red and ignored the laughter coming from the other end. She opened the door regally and strode out into the hall, her silver coat shining green in the light.

“Let’s do this.”

The carriage flew slowly through the night sky, blowing with the wind. The two guard pegasi chatted softly as they flew. In all it was quiet. The pony inside was sound asleep, her multi-toned green and orange mane contrasting sharply with her cloudy grey coat. Snoring softly she twitched every few minutes or so, in harmony with the quiet surroundings.

Below them, the sporadic ruins became more and more common, pillars and temples appearing at every turn. A mountain in the distance crept up, like a griffin stalking a baby sheep. Mount Ewelympus. Known for the ancient Big Horned Sheep who were said to have great power, not unlike Celestia, Luna and Cadence.

Acid Rains peaceful rest was sharply interrupted by the stop of the carriage. No- the falling of the carriage.

“Oh Luna’s teeth!” She yelled as she slammed into the top of the carriage. Grabbing a handhold, she looked out her window. “Crap, crap, crap…”

Glancing to the front had showed the two guards had disappeared.

The ground was getting offley close. To close for comfort actually, and almost close enough for pain and suffering. Closing her eyes, Acid braced herself and jumped. Into a tree. The trunk of the tree to be exact.

“Oh, holy mother of Discord!” came from the lump of fur that was sprawled on the ground. She groaned and shakily stood up. That lasted less than a second. “Oomph.”

There she laid for a few minutes until her ears perked. Quickly she sat up, steadying herself on the tree. “Limerick?” she called out, tapping her earpiece to hopefully create feedback.

“Great.”

Acid was running in the forest, a giant black ram with red eyes charging toward her.

Out of breath she stumbled over a rock and fell to the ground. Scrambling she turned to face the monster.

“I AM ARES” came the war cry. “FEAR ME”

The hoof came down on her face and all went dark.

Her hoof slammed on the ground, jolting her awake. Sweat streamed down her face as she lay there panting.

“Alive. I’m still alive. Not dead. I’m not dead. Whoo…”

“Of course you're not dead.” Came a regal earthy voice from behind her.

Acid Rain jumped up and turned. Then she looked up. And up. And up. The largest Ram she had ever seen. Even bigger than the one in her dreams.

“Who-”

“Zeus. King of the ramfold.”

“Oh sweet Celestia-” Acid swore faintly.

“Oh good! You know her. Well give her this, I have a feeling that things are going to get a little interesting around here soon.” He chuckled throatily.

Acid Rain just nodded.

“Well, I’ll leave you to it!”

A ripple crossed the great Ram’s coat, and the fleece seemed to grow with light. The god was gone.

Acid took a few steps, ignoring her aching bones for now. She looked thoughtfully up at the sun, squinting.

“Oh sweet Celestia…she sure has some explaining to do”
