//-------------------------------------------------------// A Morning in the Dazzling's House -by xoxPinkiePiexox- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Don't Be a Grumpy Pants //-------------------------------------------------------// Don't Be a Grumpy Pants Aria rolled over in her bed as the alarm clock went off. 'Beep Beep Beep' The noise seemed to gradually get louder the more Aria tried to ignore it. She jumped out of her bed and threw the alarm across the room as she growled loudly. The alarm broke as it hit the wall with a loud "thud". This isn't usually how Aria starts her mornings but she can already tell this morning will be worse than any other. Aria sluggishly trudged down the long hallway to the bathroom. She turned the water on and stared in the mirror. "Gee, I look worse than usual," she said sarcastically to herself in the mirror. Aria squirted her pastel green mint toothpaste on her purple toothbrush. Silence fell throughout the house as Aria sluggishly brushed her teeth. It was a strange feeling when Adagio and Sonata were not bothering her. Aria examined her hairbrush to find a glob of blue hair in it. "Sonata!" Aria yelled. Sonata jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. "What?" "Did you use my hairbrush?" Sonata shook her head in confusion. "You can't lie to me, you are the only person here with blue hair! Nobody else could have used it!" Aria yelled. "You have some blue hair," Sonata said. "It's teal!" Aria yelled in frustration. Adagio sluggishly walked in the bathroom. "Can you quiet down? I'm trying to sleep." Aria jumped back in reaction to Adagio's crooked posture and unkempt hair. Adagio stood in the doorway rubbing her eyes. Aria looked up at Adagio's hair which was different than usual. Her hair was blue with dark blue streaks. She looked more like Sonata but with fluffy hair. "See it wasn't me," Sonata said to Aria. Aria grunted in frustration and retreated to the kitchen. "Stop dying my hair when I'm asleep!" Aria could hear Adagio yelling at Sonata in the bathroom. Aria opened the cabinet and examined the items inside to find something to eat. Her stomach began to growl at the sight of all the food. "Looks like I'm the one stuck cooking this morning," she said to herself. Aria set a whisk on the counter and went in the fridge for some milk. As Aria mixed the batter and turned on the stove top. She set the pan on the stove top and poured the batter onto it. The smell of pancakes quickly filled the air and Aria's stomach began to growl even louder.  "Now where is the spatula?" Aria said to herself. Aria rummaged through all of the cabinets and under the sink but she couldn't find the spatula. The smell of smoke slowly filled the air. "Oh crap," Aria said under her breath. Sonata and Adagio quickly ran to the kitchen and saw a giant fire. "Don't worry I will put it out," Sonata said. Sonata dashed to the oven and blew on the fire. "Sonata don't-" Adagio and Aria started. As Sonata blew more and more on the fire it got bigger."Why would you blow on it? You made it worse!" Aria and Adagio yelled. "That's what I do to put out those little candles on birthday cakes," Sonata said. The fire quickly spread throughout the whole kitchen. Aria and Adagio ran to the door but Sonata ran to the bathroom. "What are you going?" Aria yelled. "I need to grab something important," Sonata yelled. Aria and Adagio ran out the door as the sound of alarms wailed throughout the house. A few seconds later Sonata came running out the door. "What did you need to get?" Aria asked Sonata. Sonata pulled out Aria's brush from her pocket. "I thought you might want this," Sonata said while staring at Aria's messy hair. Aria's face flushed red with furry. "Why would I want it now!? It has a clump of Adagio's hair in it!" Aria yelled. As the house kitchen burned, firefighters came rushing into the house to put out the fire. The three watched for about five minutes as the firefighters worked to put out the blazing kitchen. Soon a firefighter came out of the house with an object in his hand. "We found this in the oven." The firefighter pulled out one of Aria's shirts. "My shirt! Why was it in the oven?" Aria asked. "I was trying to clean it," Sonata said. "The washer is on the other side of the hallway," Adagio said. "Oh," Sonata grabbed the charred shirt from the firefighter and read the tag on the inside of the shirt, "It said dry-clean only." Adagio shook her head. "Next time I'm not giving you the responsibility of cleaning." Aria groaned and collapsed on the ground in defeat. //-------------------------------------------------------// BONUS: The Day Before... //-------------------------------------------------------// BONUS: The Day Before... 'Sonata, I am trusting you to not make a mess of things. I need you to do the cleaning today.' Sonata watched as Adagio walked out the door. She clenched the list of chores in her hand ad Adagio slowly disappeared out of sight. When she was gone she looked down at the list. "3 things. That seems easy enough." Sonata walked to the living room and sat down on a large pink couch. She glanced down at the list and read the first chore aloud. "Vacuum the floors," Sonata stood up and walked to the closet. "Vacuum. Vacuum?" Sonata searched through the closet and found a box behind the broom. The box read 'Vacuum Seal Bag'. "Maybe this is a vacuum." Sonata grabbed the box and dragged it out the closet. The giant red box had a sticky note on top that read 'Don't let Sonata touch!. Sonata read the sticky note then ripped it off. "If Adagio doesn't want me touching this, then why would she ask me to vacuum?" She ripped open the box and pulled out a flat clear bag. Sonata examined the bag. "So this must be a vacuum." Sonata put the bag on the ground and dragged it across the floor. "So I just need to vacuum the floor with this bag? What was Adagio worrying about? This is completely harmless." About 10 minutes later Sonata had dragged the bag around the whole floor and was on to the next chore on the list. "Wash dishes." Sonata examined the chores list again. "Aria told me the thing on the roof is called a dish." Sonata went in the closet and grabbed a ladder. "This should be not problem." Sonata went outside to the hose and filled a bucket with water. When she set the ladder, she grabbed the bucket and carefully climbed to the roof. A few people in the neighborhood watched as Sonata watered down the dish and scrubbed it with a cloth. About 15 minutes later Sonata threw the bucket to the ground and climbed down. "Second item on the list down, now to the third." Sonata pulled out the list and read the last item. "Wash clothes," Sonata said to herself. Sonata went inside to everyone's rooms and grabbed the clothes. "I remember Adagio telling me that I had to read the tags on the clothes to wash them right." Sonata brought the pile of clothes to the living room to sort them out. The first item on the top of the pile was Aria's shirt. "This says dry-clean only," Sonata said while examining the tag on Aria's shirt. Sonata went to the kitchen and put Aria's shirt in the oven. "This thing is dry, I hope this works." Sonata put the rest of the clothes in the dishwasher. "This washes the plates and cups, I think it will wash the clothes too." A few minutes later Adagio walked through the door and Sonata was sitting on the couch. "Sonata I'm back, and I see the house is in one piece." Sonata rolled her eyes. "You have no faith in me. I knew I could get everything done." When Adagio stepped on the carpet she felt shock tingle up her spine. "Ouch! Sonata what did you do to the floor?" "I vacuumed it just like you said." Adagio sat on the sofa next to Sonata and tried to turn on the TV. When it turned on it read 'lost signal'. "That's weird." "Maybe the TV broke," Sonata suggested. "I guess TV is out," Adagio said as she got up and went into the kitchen. Adagio looked in the sink and saw that the dishes were still there. "I thought you said you did everything on the list?" "I did." "Then why are the dishes still here?" "You meant those dishes?" Adagio turned to Sonata's direction and gave her a puzzled look. "So what dishes did you wash?" "The big one on the roof." Adagio walked to the sofa and collapsed on the couch. "Remind me never to leave you in the house alone again."
