The disappearance of the queen

"Twilight are you ready to go," I said going upstairs.  "Goodbye Spike, I'll be back as soon as I can," Twilight whispered to Spike giving him a kiss goodbye.  "You really take care of him don't you," I said getting off the ladder.  "Of course, he's like family to me, I've been taking care of him since he was just born," Twilight said looking back at Spike.  "Twilight lets go, we need to catch this guy, before he gets back on the move," I said putting a hoof on her shoulder.  "OK, lets go," Twilight said getting back up.  "Are first stop, is Manehattan," I said looking at the map.  "Alright what are we waiting for, lets go," Twilight said getting down the ladder.  (At the train stop) "Are you sure you want to go this alone Twilight" Applejack said concerned.  "Don't worry AJ, I'll do fine," Twilight said.  "Why can't we go with you," Pinkie said with a flat mane.  "Girls, you can't come with me, I have to do this myself," Twilight said.  "Why not?" Rainbow Dash said flying over AJ.  "Rainbow don't, now Twilight I don't know whats going on, but I wish you good luck," Applejack said pulling Rainbow Dash down.  "Thanks you guys, but I have to go, goodbye," Twilight said as the train started up.  "Goodbye, Twilight," The girls said as Twilight left.  (On the train ride), "Do you miss them," I said as Twilight looked out the window.  "Of course I miss them, Don't you miss your queen," Twilight said staring back at me.  "Yeah, but its my duty to care for my queen, you don't need to care for your friends," I said.  "Its not my duty to care for them, but its my choice, you would never understand," Twilight said facing away from me.  "Maybe I won't understand the friendship you hold for your friends, but maybe one day I will learn what it means to truly care for someone," I said.  "I'm going to help you, but I also want to teach you about friendship at the same town," Twilight said taking my hoof.  "Sorry, but I want some quiet for now," I said using a knockout spell on Twilight.  (Getting off the train), "Wait, Wait, where are you going," Twilight said running at me.  "You weren't supposed to exit the train," I said trying to pry away from her.  "Is it because you want me to go back," Twilight said confused.  "I want you to go because somebody is waiting for you," I said.  "Maybe, but I want to help you find the person that's waiting for you!" Twilight said.  "Why? this should be my mission to undertake," I said trying to convince her to leave.  "It may be your mission, but that doesn't mean you have to go alone," Twilight said standing her ground.  "Fine, I guess your not going to leave huh, well then lets keep on going shall we," I said walking into Manehattan.  "We shall, so lets go," Twilight said following me.  (The center of Manehattan), "So where should we go first Midnight," Twilight said nudging my shoulder.  "First we should look around the different shops to get some information on the changeling," I said looking at the map.  "I swear I saw this changeling walking down the street," A voice called in the distance.  "Wait, where did you find this changeling," I asked the man.  "Wait you believe me," The old stallion said almost crying.  "Yes we believe you, but where is this changeling," I said.  "He was roaming somewhere in the town cemetery last time I saw," The man said pointing at a dark stone garden of tombstones.  "So that's our next stop I guess," Twilight said.  "I guess it is," I said walking towards the Cemetery.  (At the cemetery), As we were walking towards the center of the cemetery, something was moving through the tombstones.  "Show yourself shadow walker!" I yelled into the darkness.  "What did you call me," It said attacking me.  "What are you?" I said trying to pry it off of me.  "I am the walker of Tombstones," The monster said scratching my face.  "Get off of him," Twilight said blasting the creature.  "You can't kill me, I am invincible," The creature said moving back into the tombstones.  "Dammit he got away," I said hitting the ground with my hooves.  "Don't, getting angry won't solve anything," Twilight said holding my shoulder.  "Lets go back to town," Twilight said.  "You should go back and rest, I'll stay here and look for the cemetery walker," I said casting a light spell.  "Why don't you want me to look for the creature for you," Twilight said angrily.  "Because I need to catch this creature, and I can't have you get tricked by an illusion while I'm fighting him," I said.  "Fine I'll go, but if you leave me, I'll have to hunt you down," Twilight said walking back into town.  "Alright, where did you go Tombwalker," I said preparing my magic.  "I won't let you catch me that easily, I have plans that don't involve you," The creature said walking around the cemetery.  "Run, run, little changeling I will catch you and bring my Queen back," I said changing into my changeling form.  I teleported right in front of the Tombwalker and blasted him with a telekinetic blast.  "So, who are you anyways," I said trapping the creature against a wall.  "you think that you can intimidate me," The creature said attempting to stab me with his horn.  "Yes, I do think I can intimidate you," I said throwing him against a tombstone.  "I'm not the changeling your looking for, he left to Canterlot," The creature said struggling to get back up.  "Why Canterlot, its to much of a risk to just go into the Princesses city," I said shaking him.  "Maybe, you should find out for yourself," The creature said melting into the ground.  "Where did you go," I said frantically scrapping at the ground.  "I am no longer there, you should know where to go from here," a voice called in all directions.  (Inside of a cafe),  I stood there trying to figure out why he was going to Canterlot, and only one option rang through my mind.  "He wants to kill the princess," a voice screamed in my head.  I was sitting there staring for more than an hour before a familiar face nudged my shoulder.  "So what did the creature look like," the old man from earlier said flashing a smile.  "It was a changeling alright, but it had a weird mark on its flank," I explained to the stallion.  "It might have been a cutie mark, did it look like a talent of some kind," the old stallion said.  "Yeah, it was a tomb with shadows surrounding it," I said to him.  "Guess I should have guessed from the whole Tombwalker name," the old stallion said.  "Yeah, but I find it odd how he was able to disappear from my sights so quickly, without teleporting," I said scratching my head with my hooves.  "Well, I find it odd that there even is a changeling this far out of territory," the old stallion said in a more whispered tone.  "That is an interesting point, but there are always those that stray from the group," I said trying to match his tone of voice.  "I know that, but I heard that there queen is missing, and all changelings usually go back to the kingdom," he whispered to me.  "Ill have to think about that," I said getting out of my seat, and handing the man a bag full of bits.  "Oh, theirs no need to pay me, I should be paying you for helping get rid of this monster," He said pushing the  away from himself.  "No, its fine, he gave me something that I wanted, and you helped me find him," I said leaving the cafe.  (Back at the hotel), "Well Twilight, looks like we're going to Canterlot," I said entering the room.  "Why Canterlot?" Twilight asked, clearly shaken from my sudden request.  "I found a clue that the changeling decided that it wants to infiltrate Canterlot.  "If that's the case, then he should have been caught by now, ever since the Chrysalis incident, we probably caught him already," Twilight argued.  "Maybe, but this is a completely different beast altogether," I argued to Twilight.  "Even if your right, there are too many guards to simply infiltrate the castle," Twilight said inquisitively.  "Maybe, but the guards aren't prepared for this kinda attack, and even if they were, there are more of them," I said trying to sound less concerned than I was.  "We have to at least warn them of what coming after them," Twilight said worried.  "And then what, tell them there is going to be attacked at a certain time, from some direction, from a squad of changelings with unknown abilities.  "Well.." Twilight tried to form an argument, but couldn't find the words.  "Exactly, so let me find some information on our enemies," I said returning to my sleeping chamber. "What are you going to do?" Twilight said confused.  "I'm going to go to sleep," I said getting prepared for bed.  "Fine, but we need to look first thing tomorrow," Twilight said closing the door.
