But this night was special. Tonight was the first meteor shower in well over a century, and everypony was excited. Fluttershy invited Twilight, Dash, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie over to her house to get a good look. The meteor shower was actually supposed to be centered near her house's general area, so it was a good place to see from. All of the ponies were there, about eight at night, when the shower started. Most of the animals fled to hide, and Fluttershy tried her best to calm them, but eventually was told by Twilight to just watch the meteor shower, and she sat down with them. "Wow, this is really pretty..." Pinkie said, but when you looked at her, she was lost in a trance. It was very calm, everyone watching, until something occured. One of the meteors struck very closeby, about a hundred or so feet away, and the girls got up to go have a closer look, and to clean up the mess. When they arrived, they saw something odd... I woke up from my unconciousness. It felt like I had been asleep for millenia, and being awake again was quite the shock. I tried to stand, following by a very sharp pain running up my leg, where I fell back again and lied on my back. I could faintly hear voices; "Wow, that was close!", "That could have ended worse", "What are we gonna do about this mess?". I heard it all, and despite trying my hardest for a cry of help, all I could get out was a slight groan. Thankfully, that was enough, as the voices came nearer, and started going faster, though I couldn't hear clearly at all. I shut my eyes in exhaustion and pain, and slowly fell into a state of unconciousness once again... "Are you okay?" I heard a quiet voice say this, quiet, yet close. Very close. I looked around slowly, seeing the pony that said it and the five others around me. The one who asked me if I was okay was a shy looking girl, looking to be 16 or 17, with beautiful flowing pink hair. I managed to groan out, "I don't think so..." I was lying on something soft, quite soft in fact, and sat up slowly, and almost fell down, until one of them, one with rainbow colored hair, caught me and propped me up. I was tired, but aware of my surroundings. "Who are you people?" I said, wanting to know who found me. "I am Twilight Sparkle", one of them said. She had purple hair, with what looked to be sections hilighted pink, but it was different... These looked more... Natural. Twilight continued. " Fluttershy, as you have already seen, is right in front of you. This is Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Appplejack." She gestured to each of them as she said their names. "It is nice to meet you all..." My voice trailed off, seeing what trouble I had caused for them all. "Thank you guys for your assisstance..." I started to say before I suddenly faded into a sleep. "He is quite the bother, but what can be done?" Rarity said. Everyone just stared at me for a little while, then laid me into a bed to sleep, and stayed the night at Fluttershy's, to watch after me. Chapter 2I woke up later to find that I was in a actual bed. Still in the same little cottage before. I slowly sat up, feeling much better, but not wanting to strain myself at all, and leaned on the wall. With the pain reduced to a minimal, I could actually start paying attention to my surroundings. I looked around to see those that helped me sitting in sleeping bags around me, but one was strange. It was empty. I looked to my side, and there she was. Twilight. Why was she next to me? I immediately noticed a magical aura around us both, a pinkish color, a dark pink. I saw Twilight's horn glowing, and knew that she was casting a spell to heal me over time. I shuffled around a little bit, and lied back. I couldn't do much of anything. "I see you are awake," Twilight said, and I jumped at the sound of her unexpected voice. "Oh, did I startle you? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. Please forgive me." I turned over to face her, and slumped back down into the bed. "Thank you for what you have done for me. I can't make it up to you right now, I'm sorry." I said this, meaning it entirely. I was in their debt. I would have died had they not found me. "Please, go back to sleep for now," Twilight said, and I didn't want to, but my body was happy to ablidge, and I quckly fell asleep. I woke up later, and saw Fluttershy near me, sitting in a chair. "Hello," she said with a blush. "Hello, I believe, Fluttershy?" I said, with a quick reply. "Yes, I'm Fluttershy." She walks over and feels my forehead lightly, me still in a daze. "You aren't sick, so that is good. Are your injuries healing okay?" I started with a thank you. "Yes, they are, and thank you for helping me. And... About your hand..." She quickly shouts out a small eep, jumps up, and runs out the door. A few minutes later, she comes back in slowly. "Would you like some breakfast? Oh, and what is your name?" "Oh, my name is... Blaine. And sure, I would love some breakfast." She slowly walked out, and as she walked out, I faintly hear her say, "Hmm... Blaine... I just..." We sat at the dining table and ate some eggs. Fluttershy didn't seem hungry, but I was. I was really hungry. "Hey Fluttershy, you need to eat something." I was responded to by a small whisper of a voice, "I'm not hungry..." Every time she looked at me, she darted away her gaze as soon as I looked at her, with a constant blush on her face. "Are you okay, Fluttershy?" I got up and put my hand on her forehead to make sure she wasn't running a fever. That was all it took. She suddenly jumped up quickly, said, "I'm sorry," and fled to her room, in which I soon followed in pursuit. She ran up to her room and slammed the door, where I opened it slowly and walked in, approaching cautiously. "Fluttershy, are you okay?" I looked over to her, and she sort of cowered away. I approached slowly, and I very carefully placed my hand on her shoulder. She started the conversation. "I just... I get really nervous around you. No, not nervous, I just... I don't know entirely... I feel a little bit happy, but kind of surprised and a little wild, too, with a little bit of fear and-" "Fluttershy. Are you okay?" She gave me a stare, and for once, actually looked me straight in the eyes. "I... I'm sorry... I shouldn't have ran from you... I'm sorry..." Fluttershy was starting to cry a little, so I brought her to the bed, sat down next to her, and comforted her, saying I would help her in whatever way I can, I will be here. Then I realized I don't even know what I am good at, or how I could help her. For right now, I am kind of useless... Chapter 3I was at a loss. I didn't know exactly why Fluttershy was so nervous around me, or why she acts like she does with me around. I feel as though my presense around her generally makes her feel a down. I don't know why, but I don't think I make her feel sad, but regardless, I need to try to make her feel better. I have found a way to make myself useful around here; I can help feed and take care of the animals, and although Fluttershy is usually really nervous with me, she trusts me to do it properly. I am doing good with it, bonding with the animals, and I think that is making her a little more calm. The animals trust me, thankfully. "So how have you two been getting along with each other?" Twilight asked, "It's been... Okay, I guess. Fluttershy has been really skittish around me. Is that normal? I am getting kind of worried..." I said this with slight concern in my voice, and Twilight obviously could tell so. "N-No, I'm fine..." I heard Fluttershy say as she came down the stairs from her room. It has been a week since I started staying here, and she is doing a little better with me. Twilight started off the new conversation. "Are you sure you are okay, Fluttershy? You are normally a little off around new people for a few days, but not a whole week. Are you sure you are alright?" "I'm fine, Twilight..." She said this in a very quiet voice, quieter than normal, and with her normally quiet voice anyway, it didn't make it any more audible. I could barely hear it. "Fluttershy, please just tell me what is wrong, okay? I don't like seeing you like this. I just wish you would be around me a little more. It makes me feel even more lonely to know that the person I live with is avoiding me." I said this, realizing it is probably the longest thing I've said at one time so far. I wasn't a quiet person, but usually Pinkie or Rainbow would cut me off, or it would have been one of my very short conversations with Fluttershy. "I... I... I just don't want to talk about it right now... Okay?" Fluttershy said, and for the second time, looked me straight in the eyes, not hiding her face behind her hair. "Okay. But if anything is bothering you, please let me know." She looked lost in thought, and I noted I have never seen her like that before. I pondered why she would be lost in thought so suddenly, and then before I could come up with an answer, she came back to her senses, and blushed a little, seeing I was staring at her. I quickly averted my gaze, realizing immediately that I was doing so. Twilight broke the awkward silence. "Okay, so, what is the schedule for today?" "I am going to Pinkie's for a little while to help plan a party in a few hours, then going to work at sweet apple acres helping Applejack pick the apples, followed by watching some tricks of Rainbow's that she wanted to show me." As I said this, I slowly realized how busy I was going to be that day. It was going to be a long one, alright. "Well, I have to go get started. Thanks for the breakfast, Fluttershy!" I picked up a small bag of confetti that Pinkie wanted me to get, and walked to the door. "See you guys later!" "Okay, bye!" Twilight gave me a smile and I walked out the door. Chapter 6Cyberpony. What the hell. Honestly. Where did that come from?! I kicked it forward and jumped back, spinning around in a 360, swiping the sword on the way, and swung. I hope these swords are as good as she made them sound. I swung quickly and hard, the swords managing to cut it like butter. I marveled at them for a moment, and ran back inside to talk to Rainbow. "Rainbow! You need to come with me, quickly!" I grabbed her, quickly but gently, and put her into a piggyback position, and ran out to the front of her house, showing her the cyberpony. "What is that?!" "I don't know. I brought you out here to see if you knew." "Well I certainly don't! Let's go to Fluttershy's house. If they came from anywhere, it might be from the other side of the Everfree forest. Let's go!" I complied immediately, and ran to the edge. And what did I do? I jumped. All those stupid stories of people jumping and doing a whole epic landing. I jumped. I was dumb. I fell with Rainbow, and was stopped by a magical force. "What is wrong with you?!" Twilight said, being the one who caught us. She set us down, with a concerned look. I already knew. "Lets go. Now." We headed off to Fluttershy's house, Rainbow on my back, Twilight in stride next to me, the swords sheathed on my sides. I saw it in front of her house, but this one was a humanoid. And it had the same idea as me. I sat Rainbow down and unsheathed my swords. "Twilight, run in, get Fluttershy, and come out. Get her to get Rainbow dash a distance away to safety, then come here and help me out." "Got it," She said, then ran in. I approached the cyberpony, and swung, to be easily blocked, and thrown back. I lunged forward, got pushed to the side, and almost stabbed straight through the heart, but I quickly jumped out of the way, and hopped backwards. I can't do this alone. I swung again, as a feint, and swung against it's head with the other sword, when the strength of my swing was suddenly tripled and it snapped the cyberpony's sword in half, cleaving the head off. I looked up to see that Twilight had intensified the swing strength. Everyone was there; I don't know why or how. "Twilight, what is it?" "I don't know, but I will get to analyzing it soon. I need to send a letter to the princess about this." "Okay. Fluttershy, please, get her the materials to write a letter. In the meantime, Pinkie, Applejack, I need you guys to guard the door. If any more come, let me know. Rarity, a few of Rainbow's bandages came undone, fix them please. Then report to me. Fluttershy, help me round up the animals after you are done with Twilight." Everyone got to work. Chapter 7"Okay. Animals rounded up, letter written, Rainbow patched up better. What do we do now, Blaine?" Twilight said, and she put her quill down. "Well, next, we await a letter, and go to see if Ponyville has any there. Any Cyberponies, I mean. If there are any there, we can take them. Twilight, Applejack, you'll be fighting with me, Fluttershy, Rarity, stand by and offer support. Rarity should be able to make use of things as projectiles." Everyone agreed and we went on our way. -- We arrived, no cyberponies yet. We looked around, and saw nopony. We went through most of the place, and I sent out Fluttershy with Rainbow Dash to go and try to find somepony, anypony. Honestly, I didn't think anyone would have died or anything. I decided to check the last place: Town square. I saw one. It was... Odd. Humanoid in shape, and looked sleek. Fast. Oh crap. "Okay, Applejack, Twilight, I prepared some things before we left. Applejack, iron boots, so your kicks will actually do something. Twilight, magic charm, so that your magic will do more, kind of self-explanatory. Fan out. Twilight, get behind and attack, Applejack, make sure she will get there. I'll distract it in the meantime. When you see an opening, attack Applejack. Rarity, I got you a charm, too. This one will just amplify telekenesis. Throw the hardest, sharpest, and heaviest things you can find. Ready everyone?" "Yeah!" They all screamed in unison, and I swung forward. -- Mid battle. We are damaging it, slowly but surely. I swung, and it parried, swinging at me with a fast blow that almost hit me directly, but I blocked, and Applejack kicked it. As it went through the air, a bunch of gemstone shards flew at it, with extreme force. Twilight flung it even faster, and suddenly made it fly up with it's momentum, where in air, it was pierced back Rarity's gems. It fell to the ground and slammed with astonishing force. It could not have survived. Or so I thought. It arised and swung at me, until I saw a yellow blur and spun around. "You will not hurt my friends!" I heard Fluttershy say as she mercillesly pounded the machine. Holy shit. She is a killing machine when angry. I ran forward and helped her take it down, and so did Applejack. Eventually, it was destroyed, and I had to pry Fluttershy off of it. "Fluttershy, calm down!" "No! It must be exterminated!" "Stop!" I shook her, but it was no use. She swung around, hit me, and went back to pounding on it when I lost my grip. She popped me a good one in the chest, and knocked the wind out of me. Everypony but her and Rainbow Dash, who wasn't there for some reason, came around me. "Sorry sugarcube, but yer gonna have to stop this, now," I heard Applejack say as she turned to face Fluttershy. "No... let her... be... go find... Rainbow Dash..." I gasped it all out, and they all suddenly got a lot of concern, and ran off. I slowly approached Fluttershy, tears in my eyes, unbelieving of how the shy little Fluttershy I knew could hit me so hard. She wouldn't even hurt a fly, let alone me. "Fluttershy...?" I said, and she spun around, the look of death in her eyes. She saw my face, and suddenly, that look faded. "Blaine! I'm so sorry..." She said, and ran over, as fast as she could, and apologized over and over, now in tears as well. "Fluttershy... It's okay... I promise... Please stop crying..." I hugged her tightly, unknowing of what else to do. She got a sudden blush on her face, and yelped a little "eep," but otherwise just stayed, and hugged back. "Are you okay?" I said, unsure. She came out with a little, "Yeah...", still seeming to be surprised, yet happy with the hug. I knew something was up. Something unusual. Why she attacked was odd, but I knew it was something else. And why did she get a blush all of a sudden? I didn't know, but I knew one thing. She wasn't doing good. I sent a letter to Twilight, wherever she is, to meet me at Fluttershy's house. I took Fluttershy home afterwards. She was still crying. Chapter 8It was about a week after the cyberpony incident. We had a series of letters back and forth between Twilight and Princess Celestia. She had picked up on rumors about a mad scientist somewhere in Equestria, and determined this mad scientist to be the source of the cyberponies. No more had shown up, but Princess Celestia had warned us specifically that this might simply be to upgrade the cyberponies, and that I should train with the guards to help with my sword skills, just in case it happens again. Fluttershy was quiet after that, not more shy, but a lot less talkative, which is saying something. She doesn't talk a whole lot normally. The others were angry at themselves, other than Pinkie and Fluttershy. I had done most of the fighting. I had defended them. They thought they hadn't contributed a lot. I told them they were wrong, that they were very helpful, that I couldn't have done it without them. But they had, regardless, went to training, to help more in any future conflicts. It was hard to see them so sad. They had decided to show me their strengths. In combat. Let's see how this goes... Outside Fluttershy's house, we started. At first, it was me against Applejack. "Ready to go?" I asked, and she nodded in a reply, obviously trying to keep herself with as much energy as possible. Even if it meant not talking. Twilight decided to be the referee. "3-2-1, START!" She announced, and we started. I swung forward, given a plush sword as to not mortally injure anyone, while still being able to do something. She quickly jumped to the side and kicked forward. I could barely block it, and even then, it sent me sprawling backwards. So much force into a single kick, it was surprising. I swung once again, realizing I would have to dodge everything, or defeat would be easy. After some sparring, it turns out we were at a tie. They let me rest a bit and we started again, this time faring off against rarity. I used double sabers, and for some reason, they let me have real ones. We got into a battle position and as before, Twilight reffed and started the match. Once step and I had gems flying at my head. I managed to block a few, but when a looked at Rarity, there was a massive wave of hundreds of them. "Okay, okay, you win. I'm not dealing with that." "Okay! Glad I can impress you, dear." She floats the gems over to a waiting basket and deposits them. Next was Rainbow. I knew what was coming with that, and I was tossed a pair of plush dual swords. Twilight started the battle again. This was going to be annoying. I swung overhead with the right sword, from the side with the left. She easily blocked both, and in a split second, there was a giant swirl of color around me. I swung my sword out, and instantly lost grip of it. There was no way I could win, so I just surrendered immediately. There wasn't a reason to continue. Twilight. She was the oddball. She also used double swords. We both used plush swords, and we began the fight. I could tell why she was using swords. She was using her magic to make the swings much harder, and I could deflect them still, but it was hard. Each impact was pushing me back. Every once in a while, she would use a wave of energy to shoot me back onto the ground and swing downward. I would be able to dodge, but she was a formidable opponent. We ended up driving each other to terrible exhaustion. Before I passed out, I ended up passing out because of being so tired, and the last thing I remember is being picked up by Fluttershy. Chapter 9I woke up to see Twilight right above me, close enough to kiss me, but I saw no intention of doing so. "How are you feeling?" "Like I took a fist to the face." She explained what happened while I was out of it. The cyberponies immediately attacked, and they fought them off, barely. Princess Celestia go ahold of the one making the ponies, and she is being tried for attempted murder. Applejack got injured greatly when she blocked an attack one of the cyberponies tried on me-- by jumping in the way. She broke a few ribs and was bruised badly. She is in the Ponyville hospital as we speak. I owed her one. I looked at them, only seeing Twilight, Rainbow, and Fluttershy. Seeing the sores on Fluttershy, I could tell that she was the one that fought the hardest. I got up slowly and walked to her. "Fluttershy..." I embraced her tightly. "Never do that again, please... It is so scary to see you in such a state... So angry... All it makes me want to do is calm you down, make everything better... So please... Just don't..." I was crying now. She meant so much to me. She was a friend, a companion, the one who cared for me, fed me, kept me sheltered, was always there for me... Kind and nice, not so aggressive. She wasn't meant for that. I was happy with her, estatic, I loved being around her... And then I realized it. I liked her. A lot. Almost love. I... Scratch that, I DID love her. It was true... "Fluttershy... I l-l-love..." I tried, until I was pried off her by Twilight. Almost had it, I had the courage. And it didn't happen. Ouch. Hurts a man's self esteem. "Blaine, off Fluttershy please," She said with a wink, and I think she caught on. Oh drat. I was gonna have to have a talk with her later. For now, I noticed that Rainbow was already gone, and Twilight looked as if she was soon leaving. I needed to leave, too. I needed to go see Applejack and thank her for saving me. I looked at Fluttershy, noticing her face was blood red. Better to ease off her for now. "Twilight, I'm going to see Applejack. I need to thank her for saving me." She simply nodded in agreement, and I headed off. Chapter 10I arrived at the hospital. It was quite quiet, even though it should be bustling. It IS a hospital after all. I didn't question it, I knew what I had to do. I walked to her room, 805, and noticed that there isn't that many rooms in this hospital. Maybe it is based off of the different wings of the hospital. I didn't know, and didn't bother to care. I came to her room and stepped in, to see her. She didn't look wounded, then again, she was hit in the side. I can't see that. I slowly approached, pulled up a chair, and sat down. She looked to be asleep. I will stay until she awakes. In honesty, I didn't have to. She wasn't asleep. I had a little shock when I saw her suddenly open her eyes, but that quickly faded into nothing. "H-hey, sugarcube..." She said, and I wanted to give her a hug, and apology, I wanted to make it up to her, I was angry at myself. "I'm sorry, Applejack..." "I can imagine... You would have done... The same thing..." I realized it was true. I would have. For any of them. I couldn't believe my selfishness. So I gave her a hug. Not a tight hug, making sure not to hurt her further, and let off a little later. I was starting to cry, but through all her pain, she seemed happy. "Ah... Finally managed to save you... To repay you fer' savin' me..." It was my fault she was hurt. "Thank you..." Was all I could say. I stayed with her a while longer, until visiting hours ended and I went home. Now to see Fluttershy. Possibly tell her how I feel. I don't know. It is all just so awkward. I left quickly and headed home. "Fluttershy?" I said as I walked in. He came in the room with her face redder than I have ever seen. "You deciphered what I was trying to say... Didn't you?" She nodded slowly. "I..." "No. Please don't say it again, I know. But my mind can't take the overwhelming feelings I have. I return the feelings, but it's just too much to be so sudden. So please, don't bring it up for a little while." "Okay. I won't. How are you feeling? Okay?" "Yeah, I'm feeling just fine. Nothing's hurting, if that's what you mean." I stared at her contently. She was fine. That made me so happy. I went about my business, but the entire time, thinking about her. She loved me back. I was so ecstatic. So happy. She was so nice, cute, polite, shy... I just wanted to be with her. But in all honesty, I didn't know what she thought about me. I went to my room. Did she think I was nice, strong, dependable? What might it be? Dwelling on it now won't help. I lied down, turned off the lights, and dozed to sleep. Chapter 11Up, down, up, down. That is how my dream was. Good, then bad, then back to good, and repeat. It was odd. Awaking later that morning, I decided to go ahead and check in on Fluttershy. Walking to her room, it was easy to realize she wasn't there. Took a mere glance. I went back out, got my day clothes on, and went out looking for Fluttershy. The first place to stop by was the library, which, she actually was at. Talking to Twilight. I went in to see what they were talking about. "Twilight. How are you?" I asked. It was a hello question, nothing more. It was also used a lot, which made it boring. "I'm doing amazingly. We got more information on the person who made the cyberponies. Princess Celestia sent me a few letters. Want me to read them to you?" "Sure" "Fluttershy, mind getting him something to drink, please? It will be a while." "Okay." I sat down with Twilight, and she pulled out a few letters. She started to read. "My dear student Twilight, it seems as if the one who made the cyberponies, Amy Lyze, is actually not as evil as we thought. She tested them in an evil way, but they were actually going to be used to protect Ponyville from monsters within Everfree Forest. We wondered why she decided to send them out on ponies, but that was no matter to be discussed at the time. Amy was getting better at making them, and we won't put them to waste. I will deploy some soon to see if it works. In the meantime, it seems that she had a lot of valuable information. She is locked away in prison, and we will look into what she did. Your teacher, Princess Celestia." Wow. She had a direct letter route to Princess Celestia? Amazing. "I can imagine that this will be quite a development. I mean, if the machinery she is describing is accurate, this may be a massive technological breakthrough! Will just a few years, we could get so far. It's all because of this one person! But how did she come up with such machinery? Though some of it may be used for war..." She trailed off, and looked a little sad. Fluttershy came back in and set a glass of water next to me, sitting down with me. "Twilight, don't get sad. Even if it just so happened to be used for war, we can stop it. We don't have to let the world be violent. We could stop it. Okay? So please don't get sad." She saw me say this, and perked up a little. "We CAN stop it, can't we?" She looked at me, obviously trying to believe my words. "Hey Fluttershy, why were you here, anyway?" She blushed. "O-oh, me? Nothing much, I just c-came to ask Twilight for some advice on some things..." "Advice? If you ever needed help, you could have consulted me. What wouldn't I have been able to tell you? Okay, maybe a lot of things, but I still don't think you needed to come here without asking me first to see if I could have saved you the trip. What did you come to ask, anyway?" She was now blushing heavily, and just looked down. "Oh, okay, I guess I shouldn't know, huh? Hey Twilight, what time is it?" "8 o' clock. Don't you guys need to get home soon?" "Yeah! We do! Fluttershy, let's hurry back." "Well, you can stay here a night if you want. It isn't much of a bother. Do you want to stay?" "Sure," Fluttershy said, and we got a little more relaxed in the library. Chapter 13Bliss. I felt bliss. Fluttershy was still holding me tightly when I finally got up and looked around. Everything was peaceful, Twilight was sleeping soundly, and so was Fluttershy. Everything was perfect. Until I looked out the window. I saw a tree. A normal tree, other than one thing. It was on fire. The lightning storm last night! Lightning must have struck the tree! But why didn't we wake up? That can be answered later. "Twilight! Wake up! The tree outside is on fire! We have to put it out!" She jumped up quickly, more alert than I thought she would been. We ran outside, and went to the tree. Why didn't other citizens take care of it? I ran into Sugarcube Corner and got a couple of buckets of water, which Twilight used to put out the fire. You'd think that a few buckets wouldn't have been enough, but it was plenty. She used it in just the right way. She would throw the water on the fire, then use her magic to collect the steam and compact it until it cooled back into water, where she would use it again on the tree. She could have done it with a single cup. It was impressive. I wasn't the only one who thought so. "Twilight, good to see you as healthy as ever. I wanted to tell you a little thank you." I turned to the sound of the voice, coming from a light blue-haired girl with a blue crescent moon as a cutie mark. She was enchanting at first, her voice so alluring, but I quickly snapped out of it. "Trixie! You're back? What are you here for now?" Twilight said. She had a bit of an annoyed tone to her voice. This was going to be bad. "Oh don't be angry. I didn't come here for hostilities." "Really now? Then why are you here? Should I kick you out of town again?" I had heard what had happened with the Ursa Minor, but it seems there was something after that between them. Something... odd. Twilight didn't sound like her usual self. Her horn was glowing purple. "If you are going to threaten me, I won't stand for it. I didn't come here to fight," Trixie said. Twilight's reply was not helpful. "Well them. leave!" She said, and shot a shockwave out, pushing Trixie back. Trixie's horn started glowing as well. "Fine then, a fight you shall have." She held out her hand, and a large jolt of lightning fired from it at Twilight, where she jumped to the side. "What is up with you two? Stop fighting! Stop or I will make you!" "You think you can stop me, the Great and Powerful Trixie? A mere human? Don't make me laugh." With that, she fired an energy blade at Twilight, who blocked with an energy barrier and fired back. I couldn't stand up to them. I ran off in the direction of Rainbow's house to get the swords again to try and stop them. I arrived yelling. "Rainbow, the swords, I need them, NOW!" "Huh? The swords? What for?" She asked, but I didn't have time to explain. "Just bring them down, or we will have a massive problem on our hands! Come with me, too!" She brought down the swords and gave them to me, and I took off running, her chasing after me. "Okay, Rainbow, get Rarity an Applejack, bring them to town square, alright?" "Wait just a minute, what is all the running for?!" "Twilight and Trixie. They're fighting." I could see the concerned look in her eyes as she flew off. I ran to town square--- I had to stop them. They were still fighting when I arrived. Neither looked tired. It was amazing what determination could do to someone. "Stop fighting! I mean it!" I ran in between them. They were in mid-spell. The fear in Twilight's eyes was easy to see. She couldn't stop. "MOVE!!!" She screamed. It was too late. Lightning from both sides struck. I did the most instinctual thing--- I blocked. Holding out both swords, the lightning ran between them. It never did fade away. The swords were electrified permanently. Everyone but Pinkie at that point was watching. Lightning arched through them. It was amazing. And terrifying. And it was odd. I felt powerful- And happy. I can stop them. I already did. Chapter 14"Okay. Now you two are going to stop fighting. Or I will make you. And you can't say that I'm not strong enough this time." With that, I swung my sword in the air, it shooting a wave of lightning the size of the sword outwards into the air. I looked at them both, Twilight staring in disbelief, Trixie bowing her head. "We can't beat you now. I've heard of this happening, but I never thought it was possible. I will stop." Trixie said this with such finality, it was amazing. I didn't realize just how rare it is. "Twilight?" "Yes, I will stop." She said, and I happily waved around the swords, now shining with yellow electricity. I was going to keep them on me at all times now. Don't want them to be stolen. "Okay, you two are going to explain to me exactly why you are fighting so in the first place. You are going to tell me at Futtershy's house. Not many people know where it is, and lots of people will be asking questions anywhere else. Let's go." With that, I walked off, everyone following. Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow hadn't said much, oddly. I thought they'd be yapping my ear off. But this looming silence was... Scary. "Okay, Twilight, explain." I was sitting in a chair across from Trixie and Twilight on the couch, everyone else crowded around. "It started 9 months ago, about a year after the Ursa Minor incident. Trixie came back to town acting all stuck up, like she was everything. She truly was. Someone bumped into her on accident, and she shoved them away with magic forcefully. Carrot Top was her name, I think. Anyway, I saw, and jumped in between them afterwards. Trixie taunted me, and I shoved her a small bit with my magic. So she attacked. I won, however, and she has hated me ever since." "Wow... Okay. So it was both of your faults I'm not going to try to take this to Celestia for banging up the town twice. I will however, need a punishment. For now, both of you are to stay here under my supervision. I will think of a suitable punishment later. Now, you two need to end this. There is no point in being so hostile towards each other. You need to stop this unnecessary fighting now---" "EXCUSE ME, BUT ARE YOU BLAINE?" I heard a loud voice say. Very loud. Almost deafening, in fact. "Princess Luna!" I heard Twilight say. "Please princess, you don't need the Royal Canterlot Voice," "BUT HE WAS-- I mean, but he was yelling. I needed to get his attention. You, Blaine, have taken a large interest from my sister and I. Being able to create a third, let alone a fourth, Dimension Sword is quite impressive. Oh, about that, the Dimension Sword is called so because it is said that the sword is powerful enough to rip open the boundaries between dimensions. We have much to discuss, and my sister and me will have to discuss the matter in person with you. Don't get angry is all I can say for now. Two days, at 6:00 sharp, we will be waiting in Canterlot castle. We will see you there." With that, she vanished. "Twilight... That was scary." I said. I sure as hell meant it. Chapter 15We were at the Canterlot Castle. For some reason, the security was kind of low for what was to be expected around two princesses, but I wasn't one to question such things. We were walking through the castle grounds and up to the meeting hall, where we would be greeted by the princesses. It wasn't that far of a path, but there was a lot to see. Such large paintings, assorted vases, a large variety of windows, for some strange reason. We arrived at the large doors to the meeting hall. It was odd. Most of the doors here were large, but this one cut the cake. Much larger than those before it, it stood 18 feet or so tall. We entered the room, and greeted the princesses by kneeling down in front of them. "We need to talk to you about the Dimension Swords. If we have any pertinent threats to Equestria at all, you need to be fighting next to us. Your power is much stronger than we anticipated. Being able to create the swords in such a manner is a true sign that you wield incredible power. We may need your help with any battles for later on. Fighting Discord so long ago has still left us weakened." Celestia was speaking harshly sounding, yet kind at the same time. I just realized what this means for us. That we would constantly have to be on our toes, prepared. I don't know for what, but it sounded like it would be soon. "Twilight Sparkle, your acting against Trixie was uncalled for and you need to be punished somehow. Trixie, you pushing Twilight closer to starting a fight is also punishable. You shall both be punished. As for you Blaine, thank you for stopping them. We have prepared a small thank you." Princess Luna said, and I was amazed. I was thinking the same thing earlier. How coincidental. Celestia started again, "Blaine, it takes much energy to create the Dimension Sword, let alone two." My vision suddenly went blurry. "You may suffer from fatigue, short term hypersomnia, blurry vision..." The world went black, and I collapsed. "Why didn't you say something sooner, Princess?! He could be injured! We only know what the creation of one will do to him, not two!" I heard Twilight say. "Twilight, please calm down... He isn't hurt... Bad..." Fluttershy said this a little shyly, though I thought about it more as her being a little afraid of Twilight yelling. "It's big though! Honestly, what were you all thinking? You should have hurried up about that!" She yelled, and I grabbed her hand. "Stop. Please, just stop. I'm okay." "O-okay..." I sat up, and everyone sighed happily. Everyone was really that worried? At least I'm worth worrying about. "I'm okay, guys. At least, I feel okay... I think. I dunno. It's all odd right now. Anyways, don't worry, okay?" "Okay!" Everyone cheered, and hugged me in a large group hug, Fluttershy at the very front. Chapter 17I ran as fast as I could, getting to Derpy, not wanting her to be hurt like Rainbow was. I got there, and she looked up at me, perfectly okay. "Hey... Um, sorry about that..." I looked at her, and what was below her. A twig. It snapped when she fell. And her shriek was because it scared her, being loud and sudden. I was so happy, I could have hugged her. In fact, I had to try to not hug her. "Oh thank Celestia... Do you want to go to the doctor's really quick and see if you are really okay?" I said, making sure she really was okay. 'Ummm.... I don't think so. I'm okay." I helped her up and helped her dust herself off. I saw a paper whip nearby in the wind. "Let me go get that, we don't want litter near Fluttershy's house." I ran over and picked it up, looking at it. It read: Strange creatures sighted near Everfree forest, creatures reported to be hostile and dangerous, wielding strange and unknown magic. This was... Concerning. Fluttershy's house was right next to Everfree forest. I needed to find the cause and stop it. Soon. I have to find the cause of this, but there was only one person who I knew I was able to count on for such information. The Zebra, Zecora. I decided to give it a try. Some Time Later "So, are we going now?" Twilight asked. "Yeah. We need to stop this before it goes too far. Ready everyone?!" They all cheered an okay. The past while has been so fast, so let's recap: We are going to see Zecora about the creatures and stop them. I have Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Derpy, and Trixie coming to help. Their choice. I couldn't say no. So we decided to head off. We let the princesses and the mayor know of our decision, and they supported us, saying that we are the only ones fit for the job. All, of course, except Celestia, who still wanted us to stay away from the forest. In a 2-to-1 vote, we were going to go into the forest. It couldn't be THAT dangerous. Could it...? We were at the edge of the dense woods. "Okay everyone, anyone that wants to turn back should do so now. Once we go in, it will be too late. We don't know what we will be up against, but we shall go, with only the belief that we can do it. Anyone who turns back now will not be called a coward. Anyone?" I gave this small speech, and stared. No one even considered leaving. They would all stay with me until the end. They were loyal. Especially Fluttershy. She, the easiest person to scare in all of Equestria, was going. I needed to thank her later. "If we are all ready, let's go." And I set off into the forest, a trail of powerful people behind me, off to stop the looming threat in Everfree forest. We went. Chapter 18"It's... Too dark. I don't like it here at all..." I heard Applejack say. That was kind of expected for at least one of us to say. "Oh, it's too dark? Let's change that!" Pinkie yelled, trying to keep up morale or something, but it wasn't really working. "Pinkie, settle down! You're going to attract... whatever is in here." Twilight said quietly, and Pinkie whimpered a little and got quiet. I repeatedly heard random growls from the nearby areas, but I decided to try and ignore it. We walked along a small dirt path, when suddenly, along the path, what looked to be ghostly lanterns lit up around us. "That's... creepy," I said a little mundanely. "You aren't scared, are ya Blaine?" Rainbow chattered behind me. "Oh, don't think that for a second!" I replied. We approached what seemed to be the end of the path, when we saw something big. "It appears to be the entrance to a large civilization. But underground? With all that dust? I can't even imagine how dirty they get." Rarity said. "If it is the entrance to a ruin of some sort, we need to go in. We need to keep a few people outside just in case we.... Don't come back. I'm assigning Applejack, Pinkie with the Party Cannon, and Trixie to the job. I can rely on you three. 8 hours is the limit. Beyond that, you head back and report as if we have been defeated. Okay?" "Okay." The three replied. "I'll be taking Twilight, Derpy, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash in with me. Ready to go? We may never come out again." "Yup. I know. We're ready! Let's go!" Rainbow said. We all ran into the ruins. I wouldn't say it was dark, because it had an unnatural lighting to it on the inside. However, no clear light source could be found. It was odd. I expected this place to be a lot more black, but most of it was a grey fainted purple. It was... odd. I could feel a large evil presence. We went through a long hallway and into a large cubed room. "Am I the only one that sees that the walls are ALIVE?!" Derpy yelled, and I looked around. It was true. They were in fact alive. One of the distant doors, which had small lights on the center, not large enough to generate all the light, however, opened, we saw a group of black and cyan humanoid figures with blades for arms walk in and approach. "Guys, get ready to fight!" I swung forward with the dimension swords, to be blocked by three of them at once, and easily flung back. "Rarity!" I yelled, and jumped back, throwing a mist of tiny blades into the air, where Rarity used the blades with her magic and spun them in a vortex around the group, moving them inwards, and shredding whatever they were. Until another group came in. She flung them again, while something else came in. It looked like a bony figure, with a small line of vibrantly colored fluid, primarily green, cyan, and purple flowing through each bone. On it's left arm, it had a hollowed out circular shield on it, with what looked to be five spikes moving off of it. On the other, an energy saber. This would be a hard battle. "Thats... I've seen that before! In a book! It's a.... What is it... Delsaber! A Delsaber! We can't win...." Twilight yelled, and I wondered about the last part. It took a large leap into the air, straight at me, and I blocked, obviously having my sword's strength being enhanced by Twilight's magic. If not, that would have killed me. She gave me a large strength boost with her magic and went off to help Rarity. I lunged at the Delsaber, and it blocked with it's shield, my sword going through the shield, and a swung with the other, it being easily deflected by it's saber. It used it's shield and threw me into the air, jumping up at me to slice me to ribbons. I was dead... Or so I thought. Rainbow used her speed to lunge into the Delsaber and knock it off course, sending it into the pack of other creatures, which I called Dimenians at that point, where it should have gotten shredded by Rarity's blades. From within the blades, it walked out, perfectly unscathed. It sliced the ground, sending debris into the air, and I immediately had a wall of tiny rocks coming at me. Twilight teleported me out of the way just in time, and I breathed heavily. "We have to retreat!!!" Twilight said. But we couldn't. I swung, with as much force as I could, at the Delsaber, sending a shockwave of electricity at it. It shuddered a little, then came back at me, tackling me, sending me sprawling into the back wall. Then I heard a scream. It was Fluttershy. I looked up slowly... To see the sight of my life. She was wailing on it. It stood no chance before her wrath, and it was destroyed within moments. It was scary as hell.... The Dimenians were defeated for now, and the Delsaber was gone. "Derpy, go tell the others to bring reinforcements for Celestia's palace tomorrow, then come back. We need to end this. Soon." "Okay!" She flew through the hall and up the staircase, back outside, and told the others, where they left. She came back, and we evacuated into a nearby room; Empty and made entirely of iron. We camped there for the night. Chapter 19So, we were up against a large army of some sort of creatures in the unknown, without a map, in the ruins of what seemed to be an ancient civilization, now inhabited and taken over by some sort of large creature. That was nice. I looked around at everyone. Rainbow seemed pretty much normal. Twilight looked downcast. Rarity was looking for something, as it seemed. Derpy was napping. Fluttershy was... "Fluttershy, why are you crying?" I walked over. "Are you alright?" She jumped up and hugged me tightly. "I was just so scared... I thought you were hurt... I was just so angry! It made me kill it... The anger. It made me scared of myself. I was so violent. I just..." She broke down into deeper sobs, and I hugged her back. "Don't worry Fluttershy, I'm here..." I said, trying to comfort her. Her being sad made me sad, her crying nearly killed me. Rarity was watching, but I didn't care. Fluttershy needed the hug. So did I. We were all down, in some way or another. Except Derpy. She was happily asleep. She looked kinda cute... Meh. It's not the time for cute. I looked at Fluttershy in the face. She was asleep. I lied her down quietly, and pulled a small blanket out and put it over her. She looked calmer now... I lied down next to her. It was amazing... Today. The strength we pulled out, all the fighting, it was so fun... After that, I fell asleep. "Diminien!" I yelled, and jumped up quickly, unsheathing the swords. I lunged forward at it, and stopped in my tracks. It was Rainbow Dash. "Oops... Sorry Rainbow..." I put the swords away. She was looking really shocked. "My dreams were... really bad, last night. I guess I'm just really jumpy this morning. I'm sorry..." I looked down at where Fluttershy is... Or should be. "Hey, has anyone seen Fluttershy around here? She isn't in bed." I said, making sure everyone heard me. "I didn't see her." "Nor me." "This is troubling..." Everyone said no. "I'm going to look for her. Too dangerous to be by herself." With that, I didn't give time for someone to complain. I walked out of our safe little room and went to searching. "Applejack, what are you doing here? Weren't you with the others?" I asked. Honestly, she hadn't seen us literally two rooms away? It was shockingly enough not surprising. "I'm sorry sugarcube, but I didn't know exactly where ya were... Mind pointin' me in the right direction?" I started to turn around to show her where, when I saw it: A giant hulking beast, about 11 feet tall, with solid black eyes, in a human figure once again, only... Odd. It had giant claws on it's hands. It was a brownish yellow figure, with the same liquid running through it as was through the Delsaber. It held one up hand up, and I jumped. "Applejack, watch out!" I jumped onto her, knocking her out of the way, as the arm fired at us. It quickly vanished and reappeared on the monster. "Applejack." "Yeah?" "Run!" Chapter 22"What do you mean, more danger than you thought?" I asked. She quickly responded. "This book is on everything we know of that has to do with the dark forces hidden away deep in Equestria. These creatures are only the beginning, and there is something much bigger, something that makes Discord look puny. Something he might help us with taking out. He wants to cause eternal chaos over Equestria, but he can't do that if there IS no Equestria." I flinched at the thought of all these good people being gone forever. "Okay, we have to leave, get stronger. Twilight, are parts of the world going to be affected by this?" "Yes, easily. It will be very dangerous." She replied. I knew it. I had to get to Cloudsdale, immediately. "Pinkie, when we leave, get me your hot air balloon and everyone who wants to help me can come. I'll be at Rainbow's house, down below. Okay, Pinkie?" I requested. "Okey Dokey Lokey!" She replied, quite loudly. "Now, let's leave." Rainbow's house was pretty much uneventful until Pinkie arrived with Fluttershy, Rainbow, Twilight, Derpy, and Rarity. I questioned why Rainbow wasn't already there. "Okay, everyone file in, I need to get to the Rainbow Factory as soon as possible. And don't worry about falling through the cloud floor, the Rainbow Factory is the one place in Cloudsdale made of metal." "Wow, where did you get your info?" She asked. "I have my sources." We all got into the balloon except for the people with wings, and they lifted us up to Cloudsdale. "Won't the people there stop us from going in?" Rarity asked. "Nope. Princess Celestia has already allowed us access in." We arrived at the factory. "Wait, wait, wait." Twilight said. "Why are we here? What do you need help with? You left a lot out." I sighed. I had to tell them. Sitting down, the explanation started. "Not even Rainbow knows. See all the guards here? Isn't that a little much for the factory? Well it is. That is because some of the dark power from Olga has gotten here." "Olga?" Twilight inquired. "The creature within Equestria. The power has spread here, and Celestia has been hard pressed to contain it. I am here to destroy it. The automated Gillchic's within the facility have also been corrupted, and will attack. They are humanoid, and, being a machine, weak to lightning. Keep that in mind, Rarity, Twilight. There. Now is everyone ready to go?" They nodded, unsure of my story. "Just trust me guys." I said, and walked in. They followed behind. I looked at Rainbow. Then her eyes suddenly went black, with tiny red pupils. She shot off ahead, and I ran after. "Rainbow! Wait! We've gotta get her!" Everyone followed me at a similar pace, though I was the fastest. Even though I managed to fire off, I wasn't fast enough. She turned around for a moment, then sped off ahead. She was crying... Tears of black. What could have inspired such changes? Suddenly, I group of Gillchic's fell around me from the ceiling. Another groups came to sever me from everyone else. "Have it your way, then. I'll cut you all down!" I swung forward. Chapter 23So, You think, lightning + robot = fried robot. Right? Not in this case! It did pretty much nothing. I just dealt the damage of the actual sword impact. There wasn't much dealt afterwards. I was on to thinking about something. Aren't they taking orders from something? I looked around, but saw nothing along the lines of a signal sender. The decision was to just fight them off and wait for the others to break through. I targeted joints on the Gillchics. They were hard to hit, but I managed to sever three arms, two legs, and a head. I also managed to hack one to pieces. I only killed two out of that attack, but that was all it took--- I had bought enough time to let everyone else get within range. "Twilight, can you use temporary enchanting magic? Turn my swords into ice sabers!" I yelled. If I couldn't zap them, I'd make the shatter. "No problem!" She said, and my swords immediately turned a sky blue. With that, I swung like I did to fire a lightning burst. It instead this time raised a large sheet of ice spikes from the ground, stabbing straight into the Gillchics with a force I couldn't muster. There was a group of five or six remaining after the strike, and I proceeded to swing at them. With each strike, a small area around impact would freeze. My idea with freezing them worked. After a few more strikes, none of them had heads anymore. "Everyone alright?" I called out. "Yeah. We're fine. How about you?" I heard Rarity ask. "I'm good. Thanks for that Twilight. Now lets go and get Rainbow!" I yelled, and our group ran off in a northern direction. There was so many corridors, so many doors. I just ran. We all did. After a long while of running, we entered a large room, a lot like the last one. "Canabin's! They are the repairmen of the Rainbow Factory. They can self destruct, use an electric shock, and can pierce through armor." I looked at them. They looked like C's with a bit of machinery at the center of the curve. "Fan out! Attack individually!" We spread out, and proceeded to attack. Derpy hunted them in mid-air, I fire waves of ice shards with a swing of my swords, Rarity took out some of the diamonds that she had gotten sometime between the ruins and here, in which I had no clue. Twilight fired ice blades. Fluttershy was pretty much a distraction. After some time fighting, we began to tire. It was too much, they just kept coming. There was no hope for winning. The damaged ones got repaired by others, and went back to fighting. "We can't win..." Then I saw a dark rainbow streak downwards and send out an electric shockwave when it impacted the ground. Only one person could make a rainbow like that. "Rainbow?" I looked at it. It was her. "Rainbow, come back to us. Please..." I saw wild eyes. Dangerous eyes. Eyes that meant death. She was hell bent on destroying us. I could tell. "Then I shall fight." I went into a fighting stance. I was the only one of our group who wasn't tired. "Stay back, guys. I'll fight. Join when ready." I swung forward, and found myself stunned instantly. She was giving me a chance to run. To flee. I wanted to, and really wished I could have. But I knew I couldn't. I had to save her from... whatever she was. "Come at me!" I yelled. "And let us pray to Celestia neither of us has to die." Chapter 24She was on me in half a second, one blow after the next. What could cause her to be so violent...? She swung with one long, hard blow, and I blocked, jumping back. The power of Olga! That would explain her eyes! It has enveloped her, taken her over. "Twilight, favor to ask of you. Get me into her subconscious. I may be able to calm her." "On it!" Twilight started to charge a spell, while Rainbow keep swinging. I put all my energy into one go, and blocked hit after hit, never swinging back. "Ready!" After that, she fired a laser at me and hit me. I got nothing. "Twilight, that didn't do anythi--- Aaagh!" With that, I tripped, landing on Rainbow, forehead to forehead. Then everything went black. Area: Recesses of Rainbow's Mind I looked around. Blackness. You couldn't really see much of anything. I didn't have my blades on me, and I got a little worried. I started to just walk through the darkness, and hear voices. Rainbow's voice. "I will kill you!" "I hate you!" "You will DIE!" "Kill, Kill, KILL" It was scary. Through all of this, I heard one little sound in the back of my mind. Crying. She was crying. I broke into an instant sprint, running, hoping to find something, to be able to save her. I ran and ran. And I finally found her. "Rainbow... What is wrong?" She was sitting on the ground, or where the ground was at least, hugging her knees to her chest. She slowly looked up at me. "Blaine...?" I walked slowly over to her and knelt down in front of her. "It's me. Why are you here all alone?" She started to talk to me, through sobs, however quieter than when I first came here. "I... I thought you hated me..." "Why? I would never be able to hate you, Rainbow. What makes you think I do?" "Well... It looked like you were avoiding me... You didn't talk to me much..." "I'm sorry, I've just had a lot on my mind. It isn't anything you have done." "So this means... You don't hate me?" "No, I don't, Dashie. I've always wanted to say that... I don't hate you. So cheer up, okay?" I moved over next to her and gave her a big hug. She needed it. We both needed it. This was really hard on both of us. "Now please... Come back to us. Okay?" She gave me the happiest look I've seen from her, and I blacked out again. Canterlot Castle I awoke slowly in the main meeting hall with everyone around me, even the princesses. "What happened...?" I asked. Fluttershy came up with an answer. "Rainbow woke up suddenly, and when she opened her eyes, they were back to normal. She got us to carry you here. Are you okay?" I looked at her concerned face. They were all concerned. Worried about me. "I am... How about Rainbow?" She approached slowly. "You alright Dashie?" She blushed heavily when I said that. She gave me a 'not in front of the others' stare. "Dashie...?" Twilight asked. "Oh, it's nothing. Nothing at all..." A few of them got a puzzled look, but shoved it off quickly. They all looked down at me. "Are you all doing okay? How are your feet, Applejack?" "It hurts a bit to walk around, but it's bearable. Though I can't buck anythin'." I looked at them all, and sighed. "Well guys, gotta say something important." They all got close and listened very carefully. "Goodnight" I said, and passed out. Fluttershy's Cottage I arose slowly, and groaned with pain in my back. Not too much, but enough for it to bother me a bit. I looked around and saw a small building, with me on the inside evidently. I was kind of out of it at that point. Yellow. Wooden. A cottage. "Fluttershy? Are you here?" I called out, to hear her come down the stairs. "I'm he--EEER!" She cried out, and I suddenly had her sprawled out in my lap. "You okay?" She tripped. I questioned how she could trip that far, but I didn't care too much at that point. I looked worriedly at Fluttershy. She was clumsy, as normal. That was good. She looked up at me, blushing heavily, and I immediately realized why, turning away my head quickly. I looked back at her. "Are you okay?" I asked. "That was a mighty far fall. Kinda hurt me." She quickly scooted over to the other side of the couch I was laying on, and I sat up... "I..." We both said at the same time. We were both really embarrassed. "I'm okay..." She managed to squeak out. "Fluttershy." She suddenly got real close. "Yes?" I looked at her. "We must never speak a word of this to anyone. Okay?" "Okay!" With that, she hugged me tightly, and I hugged back. "Thank you for your hard work..." I said, but got no response. She was already asleep. Tired as well, I got up, gently picked her up, my back hurting slightly, and carried her to her room. I laid her down, and lied next to her. "Goodnight." I kissed her forehead, and fell asleep. Chapter 25I awoke to find myself being wrapped around by Fluttershy. She had curled up around me, shivering and crying. I gently shook her, getting her to wake up. "Fluttershy, are you okay?" She looked at me wide eyed. "I was so scared! Such a horrible nightmare..." She said, still sobbing, though not as heavily. "I'm here, Fluttershy, I'm here." I said softly. trying to get her to relax a little bit. She just kept crying, and I held her closely, trying to make her happier, because her sadness was killing me. Please... Don't worry... I'm here now... I'll protect you..." I cooed softly, and hugged her tightly for what felt like an eternity. Later~ "So what was your dream of?" I asked. Fluttershy sat in the the chair across from me, me sitting on the couch as usual. "Well, it was of us fighting Olga... Of you guys dying off, one by one..." She slowly started growing tears back in her eyes. I looked at her calmly, but with a little concern. "Fluttershy, don't worry, nothing like that would ever happen. Really..." I embraced her a little loosely, so as to not make her feel trapped, but to at least give her a little comfort. I didn't know exactly what is was that was bothering me, other than Fluttershy's sadness, but I didn't let it get me down just then. "You're alright, Fluttershy. Let's go get some breakfast." I started towards the kitchen, but she grabbed my arm. "Carry me...?" She said shyly, then immediately stared at the ground. "I...I guess..." I picked her up and put her in a piggyback position and walked to the kitchen. Twilight's House "Twilight, I need to talk to you about something." She looked at me with a concerned look, but welcomed me in. I sat on one of the chairs in the library, and she sat across from me. "So, what is it you need to talk to me about?" I looked at her calmly, trying to make this not sound invasive. "Do any of you other than Fluttershy like me? Not friendship like, but like like." She suddenly grew a clearly visible blush. "Well.... Maybe..." She was now entirely red in the face. "Twilight, your expression tells me only one thing." She looked at me with an embarrassed expression. "You do, don't you?" All she could do is nod. "Well... That figures... Anyone else?" "Not as far as I know... Rarity is better at telling these things about people. You should ask her." Twilight said. "Alright, I'll get onto that. Bye-bye." I waved backwards as I was walking out the door. "B-Bye..." I heard, and closed the door. On to Rarity's Boutique. Rarity's Boutique I knocked on the door, loud enough to get her attention. This might seem unnecessary to say, but she was working with a sowing machine, and anyone who has used one can tell you they are quite loud. I heard the machine click off and saw Rarity walking to the door through the peep hole on the door. I questioned why she had one for a moment, seeing as no one else in Ponyville did, but I didn't bother to ask. The door flung open, and I saw a tired looking Rarity. "Yes, how can I help you dear?" She said. "Hey, I need to talk to you about something." I replied. "Okay, come on in. I'm on my last assignment and then I have the day to waste." She walked back strolled back into the boutique and I followed in, realizing I had never seen the inside of her home. "So, Rarity, I need to ask something, something you might get embarrassed about..." She led me to the kitchen and asked, "Something I would be embarrassed about? What might this be?" I looked at her calmly. "Does anyone else like me? Other than Twilight and Fluttershy." She gave me a curious look. "You managed to get the answer out of Twilight? She was the only one I couldn't get an answer to that question out of. Anyway, yes, I can tell you, and no, I'm not embarrassed. But why should I tell you? Isn't that a little bit invasive of their privacy? Really Blaine, you should think these things through..." She gave me a curious expression afterward. "Why do you want to know?" Suddenly, my face lit up red, but I didn't have time to explain. The ground shook, and we heard a booming voice. "You know, I would come back and try to take over Equestria again, but we have bigger things to deal with." The voice said. Rarity shivered a little. "Discord..." She said quietly. "Who's that?" I asked, curious having not been here for that event. "I am Discord, god of chaos and malevolence. You may call me Discord. I usually try to plummet all of Equestria into eternal chaos, but it's different this time. I am going to help you all defeat Olga." He suddenly appeared in front of us in Rarity's boutique, and it was a surprise to me. "Well, let's go talk to Twilight then." I walked out of the kitchen and to the door, Rarity in pursuit. I saw Discord on my shirt. He looked more cartoony. "Why are you on my shirt?" "I don't feel like walking." "Leave it to a super villain to be lazy." I said. We headed off to the library. Chapter 26Twilight's Library Me and Rarity walked up to the purple pony's library, and knocked on the door. She opened it slowly, and then grabbed my shirt at the collar, sneering. "Discord, why are you with Blaine? What did you do to him?" I put up my hands in a submissive motion. Discord flew off my shirt. "Hey, hey, hey, he didn't do anything to me! He's friendly!" She slowly let go and took a step back. "He must have done something awful to you. Anyway, no time for reminiscing, we have to get the others and tell them about this, along with the princesses." She nodded in agreement. "Yes, that would be best. To get them to attack him like that would be bad." We went off to the Cloudsdale City to get Rainbow, then went to Sweet Apple Acres for Applejack, we afterward went to Fluttershy's cottage to get her, followed by Sugarcube corner--- Except we never got there. Ponyville West District We arrived, to see darkness in the sky. A field of darkness around Ponyville. Everyone around had locked themselves in their houses, and on the roads was a simple reason. Dimenians in the area. "Crap, I'm not prepared for this..." I pulled out my swords. I didn't have anything else to fight with, so it was that alone. There was a group of four in an intersection, and I ran forward. Applejack was already two steps ahead of me. I jumped up in a position as if I was laid down, getting ready to go to sleep. Applejack kicked the bottom of my feet, pushing me forward much faster, where I used a spinning motion to kill the Dimenians. I looked around quickly after standing up. Coast was clear. I motioned for everyone to go, forward, and saw a few things in the sky: Celestia, Nightmare Moon, and Discord advancing towards the center of the darkness. "We've gotta go help them out!" I yelled, and everyone ran past me, where I turned and followed suit. After a while of running closer, we got to the center with Celestia, Luna, and Discord. The three were working on some sort of incantation. Celestia started talking to my group. "I see Pinkie isn't with you? No matter. It has to be done now, there's no other way. You have to go into the circle once it is finished, go to Olga's lair, and defeat him. It should be simple enough, but hard. Are you ready for what is ahead?" I nodded. "I'm ready! Everyone else?" Everyone cheered. "Yeah!!" With that, the incantation circle was glowing. "Good luck" Said the three in unison, and we walked into the portal. Author's notes: I expect next chapter to be the last Chapter 4"You know, it took a lot of work to plan this party, I was going to make a really fancy party for them, then I kinda wanted to make something active and fun, then I thought about the main color of the party, but then--" I placed my hand over Pinkie's mouth. If planning a party with her meant a constant minigun of word after word hitting my ears, I would go insane first. It was simply a blur of words. "Pinkie, please, can I have a little more understandable words? Please?" She had a face that looked a little apologetic, but immediately perked up again. "I'm sorry. Anyway, we need to start by setting up streamers, getting a cake, a congratulations banner, catering, supplies, a position for my party cannon..." The list just went on and on. I knew in the back of my mind, that this was going to be a very long day. -- I arrived at Sweet Apple Acres. This was actually my first time, and I had to ask Rainbow Dash for some directions. That didn't work in particular. We ended up going to the acres together, Rainbow guiding me. We arrived to a greeting from Applejack. "Hey ya'll! What might be Rainbow doin' wit ya today?" "Well, I decided to help Braine get here, seeing has he hasn't been here before. So what are you two going to get done for today?" Rainbow replied, ruffling her feathers, getting ready to go flying again. "Well, we ain't gotten to the apple pickin yet, so I wanted to get him to help us do that. We're payin him, so you can't say it's unfair work. Would you like to help too?" Applejack said it all with a smile, and I nodded in agreement. It was the first work I had gotten here, not wanting to be a money burden to Fluttershy. "Okay, okay, I guess I will," Rainbow said, immediately relieved it wasn't just us two. It was just us three. Better than just me, I suppose. I immediately checked around for the orchards, seeing hundreds upon hundreds of trees. Wow. This is going to be a really long day. It was just me and Rainbow. "So, what impressive moves do you have for me today?" I asked, trying to start a conversation. "Yeah, I'm gonna show you plenty!" She suddenly soared into the air, doing loop-de-loops, figures 8's, all sorts of things. Then, she went straight up, and went for a straight dive. I had no idea what she was going to pull with that, but I saw her- Saw her impact. Whatever the trick, she had failed. I ran to help her, knowing she was hurt. Chapter 5I was at Rainbow's house, in my bed. I had just woken up, and looked around, getting used to seeing clouds around me. I would be here for a while. After the failed Sonic Rainboom yesterday, which Twilight had informed me what it was, Rainbow got very injured. Sprained wings, a few broken bones, and worst of all: No flying for a while. I was absolutely determined to help her get better, feeling as though it was my fault because she was going to do it to try to impress me. I am living at her house in the sky, with help from Twilight giving me a spell to do so. I'm taking care of Rainbow, but she still doesn't approve. She thinks she will be fine by herself. I had asked her about the pair of dual swords on the front of her house. She said they were a family heirloom, but still functioned as very good swords. I crept out of bed slowly and walked to her room, entering quietly and sitting in the chair next to Dash's bed, watching her. "You know, I can see you staring at me," she said, and I jumped. "Rainbow! Did I wake you?" "No, I was awake. Thank you for your concern, but I am sure I am fine." "No you aren't. You need someone to be here with you to help you. Nopony knows what might happen at this point." "I'm... sorry for bothering you." "Bothering me? It is my fault you got yourself hurt... It is the least I can do." "It was my idea to show you. I should have been more careful..." "Rainbow! You always need to be more careful! It comes down to your friends wondering every time you do a stunt if something like this might happen! You can maintain a level of carefreeness, but please, at least try to make it look a little less dangerous, to make the others feel better about it!" She gave me silence. "I-I'm sorry for yelling..." I started. Then we heard a knock at the door and some metallic grinding. "Probably just Pinkie with one of her weird contraptions to get up here. I'll be right back," I said as I walked out of the room and closed the door. I faintly heard her say "I'm sorry." I walked towards the door, and opened it. "Hi Pinkie!" I said, and realized it was definitely not Pinkie. There was no way. This looked like a pony. A Cyberpony. "AUTOMATIC PROGRAM SEQUENCE INITIATE. DESTROY THE TARGET." I jumped back, and knew, once again, this was going to be a long day. Chapter 12Twilight showed us both to where we would be sleeping--- Together. She only had one extra bed. 2 people + 1 bed = bad. At least, potentially bad. Depends on how you make the situation to be. I thought of it positively; I could sleep with the one I love. On the other hand, what she thought about it was yet to be seen. She was silent about having to sleep with me. Dunno what that was about. We sat down in Twilight's main room a little while later, seeing as there was only two rooms and a bathroom. We sat down and stared at each other for a while. Neither of us looked away, nor told the other to stop staring. Not a longing stare, or a happy stare, nor lost in thought. Just curious. A curious stare. She broke away the stare suddenly to look out the window. She was cute, very cute. I couldn't deny that. Outside, it was starting to storm heavily. Good thing we didn't try to go home, I guess. Looking over to Fluttershy, I realized something. She's afraid of lightning. She was shaking in the chair opposite of me. I got up and sat next to her. "Fluttershy, are you okay?" I asked, wanting to comfort her. "Y-yeah... don't worry..." She said. I wasn't convinced, and I rapped my arms around her. "You're shaking. That's not alright. Are you afraid of lightning?" "A-a little..." "Fluttershy, this is a lot more than a little. Please don't be afraid, okay? There is nothing to be afraid of." I held her tightly, assuring her that she shouldn't be afraid. Honestly, she was a little assured, I could tell. Not much more, though. She didn't try to stop me, or embrace me back. But I was still happy though. Hugging the one you love, it's a dream come true~ "Are you two lovebirds alright?" Twilight said, walking in with a big grin on her face. We both immediately shot to opposite sides of the chair and tried to look around innocently, though our faces were bright red. "Oh come on, is it that big a secret? I already knew. It isn't that big." She chuckled, and I gave her a short glare. I turned to Fluttershy. She was still blushing, not as bad though. It wasn't bad if Twilight already knew. Still though, I just--- BANG!!! Another lighting bolt and Fluttershy was latched to me. Poor thing, why does she have to be so skittish? "It's getting pretty late. We better get to bed. Okay?" "Yeah. Agreeable." I got Fluttershy up, which she couldn't do alone, due to so much shaking, and took her to our bed, where she laid down, and I laid next to her. Lighting flashed, and she clenched me tightly, me holding her tightly. We fell asleep like that. Chapter 16These last few days have been odd. Truly, odd. I'm so used to things happening, big things, but I got nothing. No new people or anything. Except Derpy. She kept flying into Fluttershy's window. I had no clue why, just that she did it. It was odd, to think about it in such a way. Pegasi were supposed to be coordinated and graceful creatures, so why couldn't she be like one of the--- BANG!!! The house shook, and I jumped up, startled, thinking it may have been attacked. I quickly pulled out the swords, just to have Fluttershy hugging me tightly, terrified evidently, much worse than I was. "Fluttershy, it's okay, please, get off for a little while, okay?" I said, trying to reassure her that things would be okay. "But I'm scared... I was just waking up, and heard that bang..." She replied, and I knew I couldn't get her off easily. I spun around quickly and threw her into a piggyback position. If I was gonna get anywhere with her latched to me, I would have to carry her. That much was obvious. "Come on, Fluttershy." I said reassuringly, and walked out to look around and see what the crash was. I looked around the house and found what it was behind the small cottage. It was a grayish blue pony--- One I've seen before. Derpy Hooves... "Derpy, must you always hit the house? At least you could have hit a tree or something.... Sheesh. Try to go for a light landing. Don't wanna break anything. So how are you doing, Derpy?" "Ooooh... I'm doing okay.... Hey, why is Fluttershy on your back? Silly Blaine, you two shouldn't be having kids yet!" I was fried. That comment there... Wow. I couldn't believe she actually said that. That was... awkward, don't you think? Me and Fluttershy were both blushing heavily, embarrassed as hell. Seriously, I just--- SNAP! I heard something break, a loud shriek, and I ran over to Derpy. I wanted to make sure she was okay. She didn't sound okay. Chapter 20Author's notes: I didn't know I could put these in until a very short while ago. xD Anyway, I need to say, If you hate the story, don't read it. You people know who I'm getting at. -_- Oh, and I'm writing this while listening back and forth between Rainbow Factory and Rainbow Dash Presents: Captain Hook The Biker Gorilla. If you get a chance, Youtube them both. We both dashed for a door. Just any door, unknowing whether it was the right door, just that it was a means of escape. But the door's light was red. I hoped that it was just a slight malfunction, but the automatic door didn't open. It was locked. We looked around the room, the creature approaching. All the door lights were red. We were locked in with that monster. Kill or be killed. Thank Celestia I brought my swords... This is gonna be annoying. "Okay, Applejack, we've gotta fight it! I hate this... Okay, here's the plan, I'll swing forward to distract it, you attack it's back and legs. Let's just see how hard you can kick." "On it! Get ready!" After that, it fired it's arm again, and I dodged swiftly, jumping forward in a clean motion, ready for anything it throws at me. It immediately fired it's other arm, and I jumped up, kicking off of it quickly, moving to the side so it would have to turn. With that, I slashed forward at it's arm, which had already respawned, and got a clean cut. I took a dive, got an x shaped cut on it's chest, and jumped back. "Tear asunder." With that, I took a powerful swing forward, firing a blade of electricity. It very nearly fried it alive. I looked forward, and tried to see through the smoke. With that attack, I might not even need Applejack's help. After the smoke parted, I saw it's mangled form. It had a large quantity of various cuts, all bleeding the same fluid that runs through it. It walked forward, still alive somehow. It fired it's arm, spraying the liquid from it's various cuts, actually burning whatever it touched. I quickly jumped above and stabbed downward, slicing straight into the top of it's head. I pushed the swords forward, until they both came out of the creature, and I jumped off, it falling forward. The doors around us suddenly unlocked. I guess that was all it needed. "Applejack, let's go back. We need to secure an area well. And get some food. I'm starving." I looked around, but didn't see her for a while. She was in front of the carcass of the creature I had just killed. I ran to see her, wondering why she was on the floor. Then I heard screaming. Lots of screaming. Chapter 21"APPLEJACK!!!" I jumped over the behemoth and saw her. She was screaming because a pool of that liquid had washed over her feet, burning them. I quickly pulled her away from it the puddle, and put her in piggyback. Then, it was instinctual: A sprint for Twilight. "Twilight!" I ran in, looking around frantically. Applejack had passed out from pain, so it was extremely worrisome. "What is it?" She came over and asked calmly. I showed her Applejack. "Dear Celestia! Get her over here right away!" With that, I sprinted after Twilight. I laid Applejack down on a table next to her. "Is she going to be okay?" "I don't know, but I need full concentration on the point to heal it, if I can." She started to go to work, and Rarity approached, concerned. "Dear, your hands are burnt as well. Let me take a look at them." She slowly approached. I thought about yelling at her to get away, but I decided to just let her do it. It wouldn't hurt much, would it? She looked at it for a moment, took it to a table with me, and then got out a really big first aid kit. Disinfectant, scapel, tweasers, the works. But worse. It looked as though I might have though that she was a doctor, other then the fact that I knew better. "Hey, is it gonna hur--- Fuck!" I yelled, as she stuck in a pain killer. I never understood that. They are pain killers, yet they hurt like hell going in. "Oh, I'm sorry, but it's gonna hurt a little..." She said, putting a small bandage over the incision and putting a little antibacterial rub on my hands. "You're a really good doctor... Thank you." She suddenly perked up quickly. "It's no problem! Not at all!" She looked really happy to help. I appreciated it. We heard a loud bang, and Pinkie and Trixie came flying through the door. "What was that?" Rainbow asked, obviously wanting to be a part of the action. "Rainbow, not the time." I said. "We want to stay out of trouble, not get in it. I say we all need to leave anyway. We aren't strong enough to beat whatever is in here... And I want to check something out. It's been bothering me lately... Anyway, Trixie, what was that?" "There was some huge creature... It... Fired it's arm... At us..." She was gasping for breath. "Wait. Let me see." She pulled away from Applejack, who looked a lot better, and pulled out a book on what seemed to be black magic. She flipped through a few pages, and I saw the creature from before. "Twilight! That page! The big yellow creature! That's it!" "The... Dark Belra? Wow... We are up against a lot more danger than we thought." Chapter 27Chapter Notes: OKAY!!! After having my computer fried for a week due to AT&T at our Virginia vacation, (Fuck you, AT&T) I said screw it, I've left you guys alone for far too long! NEXT CHAPTER, GET TO READING!!! Silence. That's all I heard for a while--- Silence. Absolutely nothing at all. Then I heard a crackling sound. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. We were all sprawled across the floor. I was the only one conscious at the time, so I stood up and walked over to each person, waking them up. Once they woke up, I started to speak. "Okay everyone, we are in unknown territory. We are likely to fight so many Dimenians and Delsabers it isn't silly. Let's get our bearings, and advance." No one said a word, but they nodded in agreement. It was everyone there; Applejack, Twilight, Fluttershy, Rainbow, and Rarity. No Pinkie Pie. I pondered that for a second, but shoved it off as a mystery. Rounding everyone up, we headed to the door on the far side of the room. The walls around us were orange, and seemed to be alive. We approached, and walked through the door. Location: UNKNOWN The room we entered wasn't a room at all, it was a large circular platform, about 50 feet in diameter. It was floating in the center of a room that was about 110 feet in diameter, leaving about 30 feet between the sides and the central area. There was a bridge connecting the door to the platform, in which we all walked across and safely set foot onto it. After we all walked to the center, we looked around. It was a mechanical room, a blue and white mix, with a pit at the bottom. We couldn't see all the way down, but we did take notice that the entire area other than the rims were see-through. Suddenly, we started to move downwards. It was an--- "Elevator!" I exclaimed, and we heard a roar. An almost ear piercing roar cracked through the room, and the elevator began moving faster, capping at 40mph. A series of cyan guardrails ejected off of the elevator. At the edge of our platform, a large creature appeared. It was a large red scorpion looking creature, with a black back and pincer. It slowed so that we passed it, and then it braced itself. "Run to the edges!" Twilight shouted, and everyone went the the guardrails. It slammed itself down on the center of the elevator and turned to face me. I heard it shout, without moving a mouth: "NOW, YOU HAVE THE PURITY REQUIRED TO DEFEAT ME. LET US SEE IF YOU CAN USE THAT." Then it laughed an ear piercing laugh, and swung down it's pincer, me swiftly jumping to the right to dodge it, almost falling off. With that the battle had started. "Olga. You're going down!"
Chapter 1It was night time in Ponyville, and with that, comes tired ponies.
"Applejack." "Yeah?" "Run!"
Chapter 22"What do you mean, more danger than you thought?" I asked.
"And let us pray to Celestia neither of us has to die."
Chapter 24She was on me in half a second, one blow after the next.
Author's notes: I expect next chapter to be the last
Chapter 4"You know, it took a lot of work to plan this party, I was going to make a really fancy party for them, then I kinda wanted to make something active and fun, then I thought about the main color of the party, but then--" I placed my hand over Pinkie's mouth.
Dark Belra? Wow... We are up against a lot more danger than we thought."
Chapter 27Chapter Notes: OKAY!!!
