The One
Chapter 11
Previous ChapterNext ChapterUp, down, up, down. That is how my dream was. Good, then bad, then back to good, and repeat. It was odd. Awaking later that morning, I decided to go ahead and check in on Fluttershy. Walking to her room, it was easy to realize she wasn't there. Took a mere glance. I went back out, got my day clothes on, and went out looking for Fluttershy. The first place to stop by was the library, which, she actually was at. Talking to Twilight. I went in to see what they were talking about.
"Twilight. How are you?" I asked. It was a hello question, nothing more. It was also used a lot, which made it boring.
"I'm doing amazingly. We got more information on the person who made the cyberponies. Princess Celestia sent me a few letters. Want me to read them to you?"
"Sure"
"Fluttershy, mind getting him something to drink, please? It will be a while."
"Okay."
I sat down with Twilight, and she pulled out a few letters. She started to read.
"My dear student Twilight, it seems as if the one who made the cyberponies, Amy Lyze, is actually not as evil as we thought. She tested them in an evil way, but they were actually going to be used to protect Ponyville from monsters within Everfree Forest. We wondered why she decided to send them out on ponies, but that was no matter to be discussed at the time. Amy was getting better at making them, and we won't put them to waste. I will deploy some soon to see if it works. In the meantime, it seems that she had a lot of valuable information. She is locked away in prison, and we will look into what she did. Your teacher, Princess Celestia."
Wow. She had a direct letter route to Princess Celestia? Amazing.
"I can imagine that this will be quite a development. I mean, if the machinery she is describing is accurate, this may be a massive technological breakthrough! Will just a few years, we could get so far. It's all because of this one person! But how did she come up with such machinery? Though some of it may be used for war..." She trailed off, and looked a little sad. Fluttershy came back in and set a glass of water next to me, sitting down with me.
"Twilight, don't get sad. Even if it just so happened to be used for war, we can stop it. We don't have to let the world be violent. We could stop it. Okay? So please don't get sad." She saw me say this, and perked up a little. "We CAN stop it, can't we?" She looked at me, obviously trying to believe my words.
"Hey Fluttershy, why were you here, anyway?"
She blushed. "O-oh, me? Nothing much, I just c-came to ask Twilight for some advice on some things..."
"Advice? If you ever needed help, you could have consulted me. What wouldn't I have been able to tell you? Okay, maybe a lot of things, but I still don't think you needed to come here without asking me first to see if I could have saved you the trip. What did you come to ask, anyway?"
She was now blushing heavily, and just looked down. "Oh, okay, I guess I shouldn't know, huh? Hey Twilight, what time is it?"
"8 o' clock. Don't you guys need to get home soon?"
"Yeah! We do! Fluttershy, let's hurry back."
"Well, you can stay here a night if you want. It isn't much of a bother. Do you want to stay?"
"Sure," Fluttershy said, and we got a little more relaxed in the library.
