//-------------------------------------------------------// Funeral -by Silver Harp- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Funeral //-------------------------------------------------------// Funeral Pinkie pie was doing her usual business in her home; she was baking cupcakes of course! She loved baking cupcakes; scootaloo must’ve forgotten to come help me she thought. Pinkie pie added the sugar ‘n’ spice and everything nice, the vanilla, you know, cupcake ingredients! The door opened and pinkie pie turned around, twilight was standing there, “Hi’ya Twilight!” Pinkie pie said, turning back to her cupcakes’ placing them in the oven to cook for a couple minutes. Twilight got closer to pinkie. “Hi Pinkie pie, How are you?” she said, “I’m good! Jus’ Making some cupcakes!” she leaped for joy, grabbing another tin and getting more flour, sugar ‘n’ spice, and more vanilla and other ingredients to make cupcakes with. Applejack and rarity entered the building as well, following behind them was rainbowdash and fluttershy.“Dirt is Icky!” stated rarity, glaring at applejack who was laughing, “Ey’! A little bit o’ dirt wouldn’ hurt’cha if it got on you.” You could see the steam from their ears, the fire in their eyes. “Easy girls... No need for arguing…” said fluttershy in her soft, uncommanding voice. Rainbowdash swooped in and grabbed a cupcake off the rack, sinking her teeth into it. “Pinkie pie! You make the best cupcakes in town!” Rainbowdash said, she grabbed a few more cupcakes and dug into them. Rarity was wiping the mud of her hooves, and applejack was talking about the apple farm to twilight sparkle. Spike rushed into the room, his face beaded with sweat and anxiousness. “Pinkie! Pinkie! You got a message from celestia...” he said, taking out a parchment from his small bag and handing it to her, she took it happily and opened the scroll. “What is it Pinkie?” said twilight questioningly, the ponies dug in closer to her, “Oh probably Celestia asking me to make her some high-quality cake for some event!” she read the parchment, her eyes growing wide as she got lower. Her eyes turned to tears and she sniffled closing the scroll. Pinkie pie fell to her knees, her hooves in her face while tears streamed down like a waterfall. “What’s wrong pinkie!” said twilight, applejack, rarity, and fluttershy. Rainbowdash took her eyes from the cupcakes and wondered over to see what was going on. Pinkie pie was breathing heavily and hiccupping, her eyes were watery with tears, and she tried to manage saying “My… n... P...p.ppp…parents….d.ddd…di….died….” she said, she let out a loud cry and dug her hooves back into her face. Applejacks, rarities, fluttershies, twilights, and rainbowdashes face teared up, it wasn’t their family but it was one of their best friends’ families that had died. Twilight tried to say something, “How did…” was all she could manage, but pinkie pie understood and looked up, “Their… was a… fire and they all were… asleep…” she started sobbing “THEY DIDN’T WAKE UP!” she couldn’t help herself, she broke down on the floor, letting out rivers among rivers of tears. “Now now pinkie...” said fluttershy, who was crying heavily “It’ll be al…right…” The six approached the cemetery, ponies in black, ponies with umbrellas, and ponies in tears stood around. A thick burly colt with an illustrious blue mane approached pinkie pie, “I am Spick ‘n’ Span” he said “I knew your father; we were friends since we were young. He was a great colt” pinkie pie smiled and teared up, she sniffled and wiped the tears from her eyes, fluttershy handed her a handkerchief. They all stood around three rectangle holes in the ground, dug out by the undertaker. Three coffins lined beside it with flowers, notes, and other offerings beside them. Pinkie pi stood alone in her black dress in front of them, she was praying, praying that they would be ok wherever they went, and that she would see them again one day. The priest colt motioned pinkie from the coffins, she walked beside twilight and took a seat there. “Ponies and Gentlecolts.” He began “We are here to see the funeral of Mr. Pie and Mrs. Pie and their beloved son and daughter. Though I never knew them personally myself, I heard that they were very great people, who cared for others, who gave their own to help others. They gave all they had to raise their three kin, one of who sits with us here today.” Pinkie swelled up in tears and cried, fluttershy attempted to calm her “We hope to see these ponies in the afterlife. For their souls have gone to heaven, where they will be happy forever eternity, as a family once again. Please bow your heads while we take a prayer.” The ponies and colts all bowed their heads, the priest said some words, and soft classical music was played. Ponies talked and gathered around each other, some colts holding back tears, other ponies’ older and young letting out their strong emotions. An old pink pony approached pinkie and gave her a hug, telling her it is alright, “I know grandma Pink Sprinkles.” She said, her eyes filled with the watery substance of sorrow, the ponies stood in their arms for many minutes before releasing. Approaching the ponies was celestia herself, wearing dark black clothing, her light skin and cutie mark stilled showed, outmatching the dark? “It is ok pinkie pie, everything will be alright.” She said soothingly to the crying mare; “I know… But… I didn’t want to lose them… why did they have to go?” she said, wrapping her arms around celestia, “It is life my dear pinkie pie, you must understand their passing was for a reason. Sorrow is not the answer, they would not want your life destroyed because of them; they would want you to go on with life, to be happy, to keep doing what you do to make ponyville a happy, cupcake full place.” You couldn’t tell without looking, but the grand celestia herself had small beads of water in her eyes, one happening to escape from its hold. Pinkie pie was enjoying herself, making more cupcakes and cakes, one being for her friend twilight. Pinkie pie trotted to the window and looked outside, it was magnificent! She thought about her parents and how they would feel if they saw her now, happy again. She knew they would be happy as well.
