We hear stories on the wind about such events, of families torn apart by violence and abuse. It's one thing to hear about it in the news or from a neighbor. It's another to live it. To know that each day you will have to live in the center of it, and you know you might not make it out alive. Each day kills you more and more, and you don't tell anypony because you know it will only cause you larger problems, so you keep quiet. You lower your head and don't say a word. I know this, because I survived it.
