Snow Storm's Diary
Crucial Evidence
Load Full StorySunny Field yawned. She was worn out with all the paperwork she had just completed. Just two more hours, and her shift would've been over, if it weren't for her boss calling her to the office. Sunny yawned again and fixed her yellow and green mane and trotted out of her office. She passed by many ponies doing paperwork and wondered what her boss wanted. Then it hit her. The case they had been working on for at least a month now. The case was quite difficult, no evidence had been spotted yet and the detectives were all stressed about the entire thing. Sunny trotted over to the boss's office and slowly opened the door.
"You wanted to see me?"
"Yes. It's about the Snow Storm case. We haven't found any evidence, you're our best detective, so haven't you found even the slightest bit of evidence?"
"No, sir. I'm very sorry."
"Sunny... Listen. I don't want to do this to you, but you're going to have to work for a few more hours today. We found a potential crime scene for the disappearance of Snow Storm. You are expected to show up there as soon as possible."
"Yes, sir. I'll leave immediately. Where is it?"
"7789 Pony way." Sunny nodded and walked out of the room. She trotted back to her own office and grabbed her hat. She had replayed the address over and over in her mind. She had been there once before... That's it! She had went there to retrieve something from an old mare. This was a few years back, and the mare was no longer living there. It seemed like a perfect place for a crime scene. Sunny was lost in thought and accidentally bumped into a colt carrying lots if paperwork.
"S-sorry! I'll help you." Sunny scooped up the paperwork and handed it back to the colt. He was an attractive colt in her opinion. He had a light green coat and a white mane.
"It's no big deal, thanks anyways. Hey, what's your name?"
"Sunny. Sunny Field. And you are?"
"Mint Fresh. I'll be seeing you around, Sunny." Sunny smiled and trotted over to an elevator. She pressed the button with her hoof and the elevator door opened a few seconds later. Twilight Sparkle, a princess from Canterlot stepped out. Sunny bowed down.
"Princess. What brings you here?"
"I just wanted to apply for a job. And please, no 'princess stuff with me. I would like to be treated how everybody at this building is treated. I may be royalty, but everypony is still equal."
"Yes your highness- um, I mean Twilight." Sunny got into the elevator and went down. She waited for a carriage and set off towards 7789 Pony way.
(Time skip)
"Sunny. We've been expecting you." Sunny pushed past the colt and started looking for evidence. Even the slightest clue would help. Sunny looked in every drawer, looked in all the closets, and underneath all the beds. She sighed, knowing it was no use. She was about to turn around and go back to the office empty-handed, that's when she saw it. A door was slightly ajar, and it was not very noticeable. The door was at the end of a hall, a dark hall. Sunny fixed her hat with her hoof and wandered over to the door. The door opened with ease, but squeaked with the slightest movement of the hinges. "Sunny. Don't take to much longer. And be careful, we still have our date tonight." Sunny turned to face the colt she has pushed past earlier. His name was Vance Nighthunter. He was a stallion whom most mares would fall for, with his turquoise eyes and silk-like mane. Sunny didn't like him.
"We aren't going on a date, Vance. Don't push it." Sunny turned around and trotted towards the door. A musty smell filled the air and Sunny turned around to get some fresh air. She inhaled and went into the room, breathing in the musty air. She checked in every drawer, under the bed, and in the closet. Then she saw it. A small, diamond studded, diary. Sunny pulled open the diary and read who it belonged to. Snow Storm. "I think I may have just found some evidence." Sunny smiled and closed the diary, placing it in her saddle bag and walking out of the room. This could solve the case.
