Starswirl and Sombra were two Brothers who were assigned by their mother, Master Lauren, to rule over Magic and the Elements of Harmony. However, when Sombra learned of Dark Magic, he began to use it in order to overthrow his brother. However, he was defeated by Starswirl following a duel and fled to the Crystal Empire, where his powers led him to become the ruler of the Crystal Empire, the King of Darkness. After many long years, King Sombra has decided hat he no longer wants his brother dead, and that he wishes Starswirl to be captured, turned, and ruled by his brother's side.
Now, following a failed attempt to be turned to Dark Magic, Starswirl must go on a quest across Equestria to the Crystal Empire, in order to negotiate with his brother and try turning him back to his good self, the self he was before he had ever learned of the Darkness that corrupted him. Facing many risks and dangers throughout the wild land of Equestria and braving them one by one, Starswirl must conquer many obstacles and try to turn his brother. If this fails, then they would have to fight, and Sombra already has plans for the dominion of Starswirl and Celestia, in hopes they will someday join him.
