Chapters Meeting the Elements
Once upon a time in a land called Equestria there is a pony that lives there by the name of Regina. She is a very nice pony. She lives to mend broken hearts for the ponies who go through something bad in their lives. She was popular with the children at the orphanage. They all would be so happy when she came to visit.
At this moment in time Regina was walking to Sugar Cube Corner. She could see it off if the distance. She knew Pinkie Pie was working today because Mr. Cake was out and Mrs. Cake was watching the twins.
When Regina walked in through the door and the bell rung. Pinkie heard the and came running out.
"What can I get for ya?" Pinkie asked.
"Nothing much at all. All I want is a blueberry muffin and a sapphire cupcake." Regina said.
"Who's getting the cupcake?" Pinkie asked.
"Some pony I'm heading out to see today." Regina said.
"The only pony I know who eats gems is Spike and he is not a pony he is a dragon. Well who ever you are going to see is going to be lucky. Here you go." Pinkie said.
"Thank you very much" Regina said as she laid the bits on the counter and left.
'Phew that was a close one. If any pony found out I was talking to a dragon I would be in trouble. Princess Celestia said that only her, her sister, and the element bears only could speak to dragons other than Spike of course. Maybe if I tell Pinkie she might be able to convince the others that Draco isn't bad. Yes that might work but first I would have to tell him that the element bears are nice and not there to hurt him. Well I'm going to talk to him right now so why not just tell him then. I think he'll like the idea of coming out of that cave and coming to live with me in Ponyville. I hope he does. He could also bring his hoard of gems with him and I would give him his own room to put it all in.'
Regina finally reached the gem field. She knew that Rarity and Spike were not going to be there because they go gem hunting only on curtain days. As Regina started walking across the field she did not like the felling that was coming from the forest surrounding the area. She started to go a little faster. She kept at the speed a turned a corner and checked if any pony was following her. She made sure she was not followed and made it to Draco's cave. She walked in and called out "Draco are you home?"
There was a low voice that said "Yes I am here Regina please come into the main part of my cave."
She walked into the main part of the cave and saw a dark red and yellow dragon sitting in the middle part of the room waiting for her.
"What took you so long? Are you ok?" Draco asked nervously.
"Yes I am ok. The reason I took so long was because I wanted to get you something from Sugar Cube Corner."
"What is is?" Draco asked.
"It's a sapphire cupcake. I know how you like to eat gems so I got you a cupcake with gems on it." Regina said.
"Thanks Regina. Now I know why I started to like you."
"And why is that?" Regina asked.
"Because you always know what I want." Draco said.
"Oh that reminds me. Draco can I bring a guest with me tomorrow? Please." Regina asked with a begging look in her eyes Draco could not resist. He was trying his hardest not to look at her but he finally broke and asked "Who is it and why?"
"I am thinking Pinkie Pie or Rarity." Regina said nervously.
"Why the element bearers. They won't except me. They'll think I am a monster and want to get rid of me." Draco said angrily.
"Yes they will except you they have already excepted another dragon. Even one of the element bearers is going out with him. His name is Spike. You two are around the same age. I would love for you two to meet." Regina said.
"Will if it is for you I'll do it. But only bring Pinkie here first. Like her better from what you have been telling me."
"Ok only her tomorrow. I'll talk to her when I head home later. But right now we need to talk. It is nothing bad. You just need to stay calm when she gets here tomorrow. She can be a little hyper when she is meeting some pony or dragon new. She most likely will be bringing more cupcakes tomorrow. Please don't eat them all in one night. I don't want you to be sick. Umm what else do you know? Oh she has a Pinkie feeling thing. She can tell when something good or bad is about to happen. Be careful of that. Oh and she might have her party cannon. It is very loud. Will tell her to leave it home. And I think that is all you have to know." Regina said.
"Ok thank you." Draco said "it's getting pretty late you should get home."
"Ok Draco I'll see you tomorrow. Bye" Regina said as she started out of the cave.
"Bye Regina" Draco said waving to her.
Regina started the short walk home. When she got back to town she headed back to the Sugar Cube Corner. She walked in and Pinkie ran up to her and said "Hey Regina what brings you back here."
"I have a favor to ask you. But could I talk to you somewhere private?" Regina asked.
"Sure I was about to close for the night anyways. We could go to my room and talk." Pinkie said.
Pinkie and Regina walked up the stairs to Pinkies room. When she opened the door Gummy her pet alligator jumped up and started to chew on her mane. They both walked into her room and sat down.
"So what did you want to talk to me about?" Pinkie asked.
"If it would not be to much trouble could you come with me and talk to some pony tomorrow?" Regina asked.
"Ya sure I have tomorrow off. Have I meet this pony or are they new?" Pinkie asked.
"You have never meet him. I just need you to meet him. I think you like him." Regina said.
"Oh maybe we could bring the others along. That would be fun." Pinkie said.
"No Pinkie just you and me Pinkie. He does not like many ponies meeting him at one time." Regina said.
"Oh ok we can meet here tomorrow at ten in the morning." Pinkie said.
"Alright Pinkie I'll be here at ten tomorrow morning and if you want to bring sapphire gem cupcakes you are more than welcome to. He just loves them." Regina said.
"Ok see you later." Pinkie said.
Regina said her byes and left. As soon as she reached home she went straight to bed.
The next morning she woke up and headed straight to Sugar Cube Corner. Pinkie was already waiting for her.
"Hiya Regina." Pinkie said.
"Hi Pinkie. Do you have everything you need? Please don't bring the party cannon. My friend does not like loud noises."
"Ok I'll leave that here and I have everything I need." Pinkie said.
"Good lets go then." Regina said.
Regina and Pinkie started walking. On their was Regina explained to Pinkie the her friend lived I the forest because he liked his privacy. The only things she did not tell Pinkie was that he lived in a cave and that he was a dragon.
"We are here." Regina said.
"He lives in a cave? That's cool lets go in." Pinkie said.
Regina took a deep breath in and said "Draco I'm here with Pinkie like I said I was going to be."
"Ok come in." Draco said.
"Oh and one more thing Pinkie he is a dragon." Regina said nervously.
"Really? I like dragons lets go in." Pinkie said.
Pinkie and Regina walked in the cave to see Draco sitting in the middle of the room waiting for them.
Pinkie walked over to him and the first thing she said was "You look cool. I mean I know a dragon that is purple and green. But you are red and yellow."
"She is hyper like you said Regina." Draco said.
"You talked about me Regina? That's cool!" Pinkie said.
"Well Pinkie I had to tell him what you were like so that he would let you come in. If he didn't know what you were like he wouldn't have let you come here." Regina said.
"Ya I know that. I love meeting new ponys. Even if they are dragons. I would except you in our little town and I think the others would too. When I like some pony the other will like them too." Pinkie said.
"Thanks Pinkie. I feel better now that the others will like me too." Draco said.
"Ok good. Now I have a surprise for you Draco. Close your eye and put your claws out." Pinkie said.
Draco hesitated but Regina nudged at his arm and told him it was alright. So Draco put out his hands and closed his eyes as Pinkie asked him to. He felt something heavy land in his hands.
"Alright you can open your eyes now." Pinkie said happily.
"Open the box and find out." Pinkie said.
"Go ahead and open it. I promise you'll like it." Regina said.
"Ok." Draco said.
When he opened the box a big smile grew on his face. "You really want to give me these cupcakes? I mean they look really good but why would you give these to me? You bearly know me." Draco said.
"Well if Regina likes you then I like you." Pinkie said.
"Ok thank you Pinkie. That was really kind of you." Draco said.
"Oh oh oh! Could I go and get the others and have them meet you? Only if it is alright with you I mean." Pinkie asked.
"Umm ya sure. Only if they won't hurt me in any way. Because if they do they won't only be having my come after the Regina will be to." Draco said.
When he said the Regina's face turned red from embarrassment and she said "I won't hurt any pony. Would be very mad at them though."
"You two like each other I can tell." Pinkie said.
"Did you use your Pinkie sense thing?" Draco asked.
"No. It's written all over your faces." Pinkie said.
"Please Pinkie don't tell any pony." Regina said.
"I won't I pinkie promise. Cross my heart, Hope to fly, Stick a cupcake in my eye." Pinkie said.
"Thanks Pinkie. Now are you going to get the others now? Or will I have to go get them myself?" Regina said.
"No I'll go get them. Be right back." Pinkie said.
As soon as Pinkie said that she took off running out of the cave. Draco let out a loud sigh.
"What was that for you know she is coming back with the others right?" Regina asked.
Draco let out a loud huff "I know that. I just hope that they accept me like you do."
"Well not exactly like I do." Regina said.
"I'm back!" Pinkie came in and yelled.
"Wow Pinkie that was fast. Umm where are the others?" Draco asked.
"Oh they are outside. COME IN HERE EVERY PONY!" Pinkie said.
"Alright Pinkie we heard you. You don't need to be so loud." Rainbow Dash said.
"So Pinkie where is that dragon named Draco?" Twilight asked.
"He is ri... Draco!" Regina said "Sorry but I am going to yell. DRACO GET IN HERE!"
"No I don't want to." Draco said.
"Draco now." Regina said.
"Fine I'll be right there." Draco said.
"Hello Draco. We are here to see if you are nice enough to come to Ponyville. So far of what I have seen you are nice enough to come live there." Princess Twilight said.
"Good. That makes me happy to hear." Draco said.
"So wait there is going to be another dragon in Ponyville?" Fluttershy asked.
"Yes darling but as you can see he is very nice." Rarity said.
"If he was mean we would not be here right now." Spike said.
"You are correct darling. Now can we go home? My hooves are hurting." Rarity complained.
"Yes Ah need to get home and get back to my trees. You know how close it is to citer season." Applejack said.
"Yes let's go." Twilight said.
"Thanks for coming. So can visit Ponyville?" Draco asked.
"You sure can." Pinkie said. "You should come to Sugar Cube Corner tomorrow and I'll throw a welcome to Ponyville party!"
"We'll be there. I'll make sure Draco comes out of his cave. What time should we be there?" Regina asked.
"We can start at noon. We'll have enough food for every pony in Ponyville." Pinkie said.
"Alright Pinkie you can finish planning when you get home. Bye Regina bye Draco." Twilight said.
"Bye every pony" Regina and Draco said.
Author's Note
My first story yay.
"Draco time to go." Regina said.
"Do I have to go?" Draco asked.
"Yes you do and are you ready yet?" Regina asked.
"Yup I am coming out right now." Draco said.
When he came out of the back of the cave he looked at Regina with a huge smile on his face. When Regina saw that she smiled back at him and said "Let's go so we are not late. I don't think Pinkie would want you to be late for your own party."
"Okay lets head out then." Draco said as he headed out towards the entrance of the cave. Regina followed him and asked "Do you know where Ponyville is?"
"Yes I do. I know I have been in the cave a long time but I know where Ponyville is." Draco said "See we are already here." Draco said.
"Wow that was fast." Regina said.
"Ya it was. I guess time flies when you are talking to some pony you like." Draco said.
"Yes time does fly. We need to get to Sugar Cube Corner in ten minutes. Do you think we can make?" Regina asked.
"You really have to ask that? You know I can fly us there in like five minutes right?" Draco asked.
"Okay I can walk and you can fly. You have to remember I don't like heights." Regina said.
"Well I don't have to fly that high. Come on." Draco said as he leaned down to let Regina get on his back.
"Ok please don't go very high." Regina said.
"I won't." Draco said with a mischievous smile on his face.
All of the sudden Regina felt herself go a little higher in the air.
"Draco what did I say!" Regina yelled.
"I don't know I forgot. But look I can see Sugar Cube Corner. And anyways I had to go higher because I didn't want to hit any of the ponies below us." Draco said.
Draco was right. They landed in front of Sugar Cube Corner and Regina got off of Draco's back as fast as she could. Then she and Draco walked into the bakery and every pony she knew was there. Draco tried to go behind Regina but she stepped out of his way.
"Hi Draco. Hi Regina. Come over here we have to talk to you two." Rainbow Dash said.
"Ok coming." Regina called out over the crowd.
"So what did you want to talk about?" Regina asked.
"It looks like Draco is a little bit shy of ponies." Twilight said.
"Well he may seem that way but he like ponies. Because if he didn't he would not be here right now." Regina said.
"So where is he going to live while he is in Ponyville?" Fluttershy asked half hiding behind her hair.
"OH OH OH OH!" Pinkie said raising her hoof in the air.
"What Pinkie?" Rarity asked.
"He can stay here with with me." Pinkie said.
"Sorry Pinkie but he is staying at my house with me." Regina said "We agreed to this last night. Me and Draco talked about it and he agreed to stay with me in my home. Plus there is already five ponies living here. I think Mr. and Mrs. Cake would like to keep it like that for as long as they can."
"Okie dokie lokie!" Pinkie said as she bounced off into the crowd.
"So Draco how are you liking Ponyville so far?" Spike asked.
"Ya I am. I really never came to town until now." Draco said.
"Why not until now?" Rarity asked.
"I lived in my cave no one was there bother me. But then Regina came along and got me out of there. To tell you the truth I have been happier sense I've came out of that cave." Draco said.
"Well that is great to hear." Twilight said.
The sun started going down off in the distance "Well I think it is time for me to head home for tonight don't you think Draco?" Regina said.
"Should we tell Pinkie Pie that we are going?" Draco asked.
"I can go tell her for you." Rainbow dash said as she flew into the crowd looking for Pinkie.
"Thank you Rainbow. Then we shall be on our way see you tomorrow I guess." Regina said.
Regina and Draco left the Sugar Cube Corner and headed to Regina's home. Draco asked "Do you think I will fit through your door?"
"Yes you will. My door is extra wide because at one time my house was a place that many ponies would go to meet but then they made the town hall. So now all of the towns ponies will meet there on special occasions." Regina replied.
"Ok. What room would I be sleeping in tonight?"
"Any room of your choice. There is four other rooms other than mine. I can show you where everything is that you will need." Regina said.
"Thanks Regina." Draco said.
"Your welcome and we are here." Regina said.
In front of them was a very large house with a porch that could hold half the town on it. The doors were very old but were very strong. The doors had a very detailed design on them of roses and other wild flowers. When they walked in there was a staircase leading up to ware the bedrooms were.
"Draco if you take a right here there is a kitchen. And to your left is the living room and den. Upstairs are the bedrooms. You can have the biggest room. I have a different room than that one." Regina said.
"Ok. Could you show me to my room?" Draco asked.
"Yes I can this way." Regina said.
Regina started walking up the stairs and Draco followed her to the last door on the right.
"Here is your room. I'll be right across the hall if you need anything." Regina said.
"Ok goodnight." Draco said.

This might seemed a bit hurried but I have my reasons. Constructive criticism is wanted. It will help me get better.
The date
It has been a a few weeks. Draco has been getting used to having all of the ponies around him. He also has a room at Regina's house. Regina will let him put some gems in his room for snacking on during the night. Tonight Draco wanted to ask Regina out on a date but he didn't know if Regina had the same feelings that he has for her.
Draco thought to himself 'I am going to ask her. It won't hurt me if she doesn't have the same feelings for me. I'll just know that I shouldn't ever ask her out again. Ya I am going to do it.'
Draco was on his way over to Regina's house. When he knocked on the door Regina answered it. "Oh hi Draco. Would you like to come in?"
"Sure but I have to ask you something when we get inside." Draco said.
"Alright you can ask me now." Regina said as they reached her living room.
Draco looked so nervous that he was going to faint. But he held it together and asked "Would you go on a date with me tonight stargazing in the field?"
Regina blinded a couple of of times just to make sure that wasn't a dream it she finally answered "Yes I will go stargazing with you."
"Thank you. Umm I'll meet you here at sun down tonight and I'll have a picnic packed for us. Anything special you want in the picnic?" Draco asked.
"No nothing special and I can bring the blanket and here is a basket they you can put the food in." Regina said as she levitated a basket over to him.
"I guess I'll see you at sun down tonight. I'll meet you here." Draco said.
"I will be ready by then. Now run along and get the picnic ready for us." Regina said playfully.
Draco went to the Sugar Cube Corner and walked in. Pinkie came bouncing out from the kitchen and asked "What can I get for you Draco?"
"I would like one banana nut muffin, one chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting, and two sapphire blue cupcakes. Ummm and that's all." Draco said.
"Alright here you go." Pinkie said as she tilted her head and asked "What's the basket for?"
"I'm bringing Regina stargazing tonight in the field and I am bringing the the picnic basket. She is brining the blanket." Draco said.
"Oh how nice of you. I have the perfect cupcakes for Regina." Pinkie said.
"No thanks Pinkie I just want what I ordered please." Draco said.
"Alright here you go. That would be 10 bits please." Pinkie said.
"How about 12 bits? Here you go Pinkie." Draco said as he handed Pinkie the money.
"Wow thanks Draco but don't you need all the extra bits you have?" Pinkie asked.
"Nope I have enough. Now I have to leave and go get some more food. Bye Pinkie." Draco said.
"Alright then Draco. Bye." Pinkie waved to him as he left the bakery.
Draco headed to the town square to see if Applejack was there with her apple cart. He wondered around until he found the apple cart but Applejack was not there. It was her older brother Big Macintosh.
"Hey Big Mac." Draco said.
"Hello Draco." Big Mac said.
"Could I get two apples?" Draco asked.
"Eeyup. Four bits please." Big Mac said.
"Here is five bits." Draco said as he handed Big Mac the bits.
"Ya don't need to give me and my family any extra bits." Big Mac said.
"Take it I sure don't need it." Draco said.
"Alright thanks I'll see you next time Draco." Big Mac said.
"Bye Big Mac I'll see you later." Draco said.
"Bye Draco." Big Mac called out as Draco left.
The sun was starting to set so Draco headed over to Regina's house. When he got there he headed up to the door and knocked three times.
"Who is it?" Regina called out from inside.
"It's me Draco." Draco said.
"Oh! I'll be right there Draco." Regina said.
When Regina opened the door she looked beautiful. She fixed her hair and curled her hair to make sure it wouldn't go flat. Her coat was really clean and brushed perfectly against her body.
"You look beautiful Regina." Draco said.
"Thank you Draco. I have that blanket we need." Regina said.
"Alright we should go before it gets any darker." Draco said.
"Ok let's go." Regina said.
Regina and Draco walked to the field right out of town. When they got there the field was completely empty. No pony was there. It was always like this because it was a week night but if it was the weekend there would be at least one or two couples in different places so they could not hear each other's conversations.
"Let's go right here." Regina said as she walked to the center of the field.
"Hey wait for me!" Draco said playfully.
"Well don't be a slow poke then you won't fall behind." Regina said with a big smile on her face. She laid the blanket on the ground using her magic. Then she and Draco sat down together really close to each other.
"You chose the perfect spot." Draco said as he put the picnic basket down on the blanket.
"Thank you. I love this place because the sky is always clear. I am so glad you picked tonight to go stargazing." Regina said.
"Why are glad I picked tonight?" Draco asked.
"Because tomorrow there is a thunder storm coming.
"Oh will I guess I have good timing." Draco said.
"Yes you do." Regina said as she moved closer and snuggled into Draco's chest.
"Ya." Draco said nervously.
"Hey look the first star is appearing!" Regina said.
"Wow you look beautiful." Draco said dreamily.
"What did you say?" Regina asked.
"Ummmm." Draco said nervously as he scratched the back of his neck "Umm I said that you are beautiful."
Regina turned around to look Draco in the eyes and said "Thank you Draco. You look really handsome yourself."
"Thanks. We should eat what I brought for us." Draco said.
"Yes we should eat. What did you bring?" Regina asked.
"I brought you a couple of apples, a cupcake, and a banana nut muffin. I brought myself some gems and a couple of sapphire cupcakes." Draco said said as he gave Regina her food and took his out of the basket to.
"Wow thanks. But I have one question." Regina said.
"What is it?" Draco asked.
"What do those gems taste like?" Regina asked.
"The red ones taste like raspberries and the blue ones taste like blueberries. So they taste like the color of fruit they look like." Draco said.
"Cool but I can never try one. They will brake all of my teeth." Regina said giggling.
"We don't need that." Draco said.
They both went quite watching the night sky.
Finally Draco spoke out "So ummm now I have a question for you."
"Ok what is it?" Regina asked.
"Do you like me?" Draco asked.
"Of course I do." Regina said.
"No I mean love me." Draco said.
"Draco I have to tell you the truth. The first time I meet you I knew that you were different from other dragons. If you were like the others you would have killed me but you didn't. So I stuck around to see what you were like. I noticed that you have so many things I look for in a stallion. You are brave, smart, and you know how to treat a lady. So yes I do love you Draco." Regina said.
"Good because I have been waiting a long time to do this." Draco said as he turned Regina around and kissed her on the lips.
"How long have we known each other?" Draco said.
"I think three years today. Ya it is." Regina said.
"Ok good." Draco said as he got up and ran off in to the bushes.
"Where are you going?" Regina asked.
"I'll be right there." Draco said "Sense we are already living together I would like to ask you something. Will you marry me?"
Draco got down on one knee and held the ring. He closed his eyes and waited for her to answer.
When she finally answered she said "Yes I will!" Then she ran up and kissed him. Draco was not expecting that so they both fell on the ground kissing each other.
Telling the news
It has been two days sense Draco and Regina got engaged. They are going to tell all of their friends Pinkie, Rarity, Twilight, Rainbowdash, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Spike. The day before they asked all of them to meet at the Sugar Cube Corner. It was a Saturday afternoon.
Draco and Regina were on their way to the bakery. Regina was leaning on Draco. He really didn't mind it. He really loved it. When they got to Sugar Cube Corner they saw Pinkie coming out of the bakery.
"Hey Pinkie where are you going to?" Regina asked.
"Hiya I was just coming to see where you two were so you can tell us the news." Pinkie said.
"How did you know that we were going to tell you something?" Draco asked.
"Umm Draco her pinkie sense." Regina said.
"Oh ya. I forgot about that." Draco said.
"So Pinkie who is all here?" Regina asked.
"Well me, Rarity, Spike, Twilight, Rainbowdash, Fluttershy, and Applejack." Pinkie said in one big breath.
"Thanks Pinkie. I think we should head in." Draco said.
Draco walked up to the door and held it open for Regina and Pinkie. When they entered the bakery all of the lights were off.
"Pinkie why are all of the lights off?" Regina asked as she reached for the light switch.
"Stop! Don't you dare turn on that light. I want to." Pinkie said cheerfully at the end.
"Okay?" Regina said as she stepped away from the light switch.
Pinkie went over to the light and flicked it on. All of the sudden Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbowdash, Fluttershy and Spike jumped out of their hiding places and said
"Congratulations!"
Regina jumped a little bit and Draco jumped about 5 feet in the air.
"Why would you guys scare me like that?" Draco asked calming down.
"It was Pinkie's idea darling." Rarity said.
"Yup. That was my plan to scare you. But not that bad." Pinkie said between her giggle fits.
Twilight walked over to Regina and said "We tried to explain it to Pinkie to let you tell us the news but she wanted to throw you a party really badly. Can you please tell us why we are here."
Regina looked around the room cleared her voice to get everyponys attention and to get Rainbow to stop teasing Draco for being that scared "I think you all should know the news at once. Two days ago when Draco took me on a date he did something I thought no pony would ever ask me. He asked me to marry him. And I did say yes." Regina said ask she walked over to Draco and leaned on him.
"Congrats dude." Spike said ask he walked over to Draco and gave him a pat on the back.
"Thanks Spike." Draco replied.
Everypony else said their congratulations to them and the couple and then Pinkie yelled "Let's party!"
They all had a good time. It was late so Regina and Draco headed home for the night.
