Love's Heart is filled with Lies!
I came from a world of war, conflicts and division. Where my people, Humanity, cannot put aside an action from another being away. They always have a reason to spill bloodshed on each other. Some cultures were founded on hatred of another. So you may think that I would try and stop this. But no. There's no reasoning with this madness, nothing is with my kind. I know that one day we will find new life and our madness for blood will spread to them. The sad part about this is that I accepted this when I was just a boy. Yeah a small boy accept that his race has fallen into madness and bloodshed. But this boy tried to live life to his fullest and didn't shown it to the world. He kept it inside and out of public view, where he smiles in shadows and laughs in the night. I didn't fell into a deep depression and wondered my world like a lost soul, I just didn't show my feeling and emotions to the world. Every day was the same:
Get out of bed, get breakfast with parents that loved me to bits and were the only people that I shown my feelings and emotions. Go to school and learn why my world was destroyed by the actions of our people, go home and go to sleep. And this happens throughout every days of every weeks of every months of every years. Nothing changed and the same leaders get voted to what they want from the votes. Remember that this was a little boy not a man that has grudges from old rivals years ago. A boy who does not care for what happens in the future and accepted it. Sad but true, sad but true. Some people goes and see someone who is good at psychology, talking about the problems they faced. But not I. Some goes and find a religion for answers. But not I, one of the reasons for this madness are from those bloody zealots and I stay far away from those who wish to spread their faith like fire in the winds. Although it is good to have a sense of belief but to kill others for not believing your God does not help your faith at all. Yes, my accepted to Humanity's madness has changed my life for a good long time. From birth I was a nice creature, until the knowledge of the past changed that baby into a pale boy with no feeling to his kind.
Now you're probably wondering what does this have to do with the other world you know quite well. You may think that my arrival to that world would be a magical one or my life would end from a accident by some poor sod. No, no there's nothing magical that made me came to that world nor an accident. But I just... Arrived. One day I slept in my bed. The next in the woods and before you think of the forest, I said the woods which is a different place. Not out of the wild but in a city, a city of beauty and rich. I opened my eyes to this in disbelief, was this a dream? If it was let me sleep a bit longer and let me dream more. I got up from the ground and walked in this woods park. Although I like this place, I do not know where I am. Even if it was a dream, I needed to know where I am and not go blindly out of the open city. Their trees blocked the sunshine but it's light could come though to create the shadows of the trees, the brushes and the leaves. This place was peaceful and calm. Not like my world's dark past and hatred to other beings. I don't know why but my feelings are telling me that this may not be a dream. Winds blew onto my face, I touched the trees and leaves...and they felt so real. Which made me all worried about this. If this was not a dream then... How did I get here? Where are my parents? But most of all those questions, there was one that thought I wouldn't say to myself. How do I get back to my world? Those questions must wait, for I heard something coming this way. I dashed into the nearest bushes and hidden inside of it.
Soon the sounds were clearer and softer like the sound of your first steps. But these sounds were not humans rather, they sounded like hooves. Hooves? Is someone riding a house or pony? My questions on 'how I got here turned' to 'who is coming'. Soon my question to 'who is coming' was answered, but it was not a answer I thought it would be. Oh no, very far from the normal answer you would expected in my world. There in front of me was horn Pegasus, walking and humming ever so peacefully. Her fur was a silky light pink and her mane that was in a ponytail, had the colour of violet, darker pink and cream with a bit of purple on the tip of her wings. Her eyes were a shade of purple as she glared at one flower on a brush in front of me. She picked it and smelled the flower as she smiled while doing so. As I looked at her I felt... Different then usually. First I was unsure about her. But after a short moment, I just felt different. There's no words for it, I just felt different for I never seen her kind which means she may not of seen mine. Could I be... No! I accepted my kind's madness for blood and so I will not let her see me. But fate has other plans it seems for a branch of the bush I was hiding snapped for no reason at all. A gasp came from her and even myself from the snap of the branch as the pony looked behind her and stared at the bushes where I was hiding. The silence were only seconds but to me they were deafening to my ears and almost frighting by the sound of nothing. The deafening silence ended with the sounds of her hooves. No, No, NO! She must not see me. If she does that I don't know what will happen. Will she scream? Or shout? Or ran away to tell others of her kind? These questions filled my mind as I tried to find away out of the bushes without letting her see me. Dead end. There is no way out of this. But I went deeper into the bushes just to make should she will not see me in it instead. But a ray of light shined upon the bushes. In doing so, the light felled upon my eyes. Revealing the upper part of my face... To her.
She looked straight into my eyes as I did the same to her. We stared at each other for a while. I didn't know what she was thinking nor feeling. But for me, it was pure fear and dread. You would do the same thing if a creature you never seen before now staring at you. But, she just stared at me. Once again that feeling came again. Different. Still I don't know if it was a good thing or a bad one, all I could feel was being different. But all of a sudden. The thought of something about will happen. Turned into something else all together. She smiled to me and giggled magically.
"Don't be scared" She said with a soft voice as if I was a small kid. She lent out one of her hoof. I back away from it a bit. "I won't hurt you, I promise you"
I looked at her and felt the same feeling. Why was she doing this? I looked back to her hoof and stared at it for a few moments. I don't know why, but for some reason. I went for her hoof and grabbed it gentle. She then slowly pulled me up from the bushes. Gaining my full height to her. Her eyes widen from the fact that I was half taller then her, she reached up to my chest. She removed her hoof out of my hand. I looked at my hand to this. Back then I thought the reason her eyes widen was what I looked like. A creature that she didn't see before. I continued to look at my hand when she began to walk away from me. I looked at her when she disappeared from my sight, behind the trees and their shadows. I looked down to the ground and saw the flower she picked from the bush. Helpless and cold on the ground. I leaned down and picked it up from the dirt and looked at it. The flower was some kind of blue rose with white colours on the tip of the petals. Small silver spikes that couldn't even hurt a fly. I just looked at it with tears nearly coming out of my eyes. She saw what I was and went away from me. She saw my appearance and only saw a monster. A single tear flew from my eye and my inner self was almost broken in two. Almost... Not fully.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and looked to face whatever tapped me. It was her. She returned, but why? I looked at her and she had a pitiful smile on her face. She then poked my chest and giggled again in my surprise.
"See" She giggled happily. "I told you I wouldn't hurt you, I promised you" She then hugged me while I could only stand there in shock. Not the scared shock. But the disbelieve shock. She retuned... For me. Recovering from my shock. I returned the hug with one of my own and for the first time in a long while. I smiled to a complete stranger... And that feeling came back. I knew then, that feeling was a good feeling. Her feeling.
We spent a long time together from then-on-now. I learned that her name was Cadence, but she insisted to call her Cady. I stayed in the woods because I still didn't want to leave it. She may like me. But what about the rest of her people. She understood my reason and told me that she'll come and visit when she can. Every time I see her. That feeling came back to me. I gotten so used to it that I named that feeling 'Cady's present'. It sounds weird I know. But it always come when I see her and so the name stuck. She visited almost every day and we did everything together. We played all the games you can guess. Hide and seek, It, chest and more. She sometimes brings her homework with her and I would help her. She became my teacher as well as a friend. She taught me what was in this world. Like magic, geology, the royal family, their traditions and philosophy. I was interested in their three tribes united into one with no bloodshed and no conflicts. A terrible winter storm hits them and they put their difference behind them and founded their kingdom. I read it and was taken from it. Perhaps their was hope after all.
Days turned to weeks. Weeks turned to months and months turned to years. Our friendships between us grew as we did. I was of course, much taller then her but she didn't cared about that at all. I kept that rose that Cady picked with me as I grew up. It came somewhat my symbol or heirloom. I used my body more often. I moved from tree to tree like an ape would do. My running was more effective like I was one of those stone ages hunters, I could run for hours and not feeling tired and worn out. I trusted that my body can do more things that I thought was impossible to achieve by normal standers. Cady didn't visit much often because she was also looking after a small filly. A violet unicorn with a dark blue mane that held pink and purple stripes. I didn't mind it. Cady and the little filly had great times together. When I saw them doing their little dance, I always lifted an eyebrow to it. But she always came back to me and we spent the day playing with each other. I was so happy when I was with her. Not only was she my best friend, she made me changed the way I was before. She liked me because I was unique, she never seen anything like me and wanted to know what I was. She was so into my people's background that made me realise that even when my kind did horrid things. There was good in my people past. She told me that fighting for home and family, for the people you love and care. That is worth fighting for and maybe... Worth dying for. She gave me pride. Pride of being my kind, being human... Being me.
I asked her a while age about myself. "You see me as a friend?" I think I caught her off guard from my question. She looked at me with unsure eyes as I looked at her with uncertain thoughts. We stared at each other for a while as if we were both thinking for the right answer. Then a feeling came. Not Cady's present, but the feeling of doubt and rejection. But the feeling ended with Cady's smile. She came to me and gave me a hug, however I did return it because I was still uncertain about my question.
She smiled and gave me my answer, with a question. "Maybe more?" She giggled after that and gave a kiss on my cheek. I must of blushed after the kiss because some reason, the whole woods felt awfully hot after the kiss. She giggled once more before she had to go home. I watched her flew away while I rubbed the cheek that she kissed. Her question filled my head. Maybe more? What does that mean? Yes? No? Does she see me as a friend? Or does she love me? These question filled my mind as I walked away with a smile on my face. I think I'll go for the last question for me.
Now you'll would expected a beautiful moment to come up next. Almost... Not fully. It was yesterday when she kissed me and I was swinging from tree to tree with my heart filled with love. I had the courage to confess my feelings to her. I will tell her about my love for her and to thank her for changing my whole opinion on my kind's madness to their good side that I can see because of her words. I will confess, I will tell and I will love her because of everything we've been through. I waited in one of the trees until she arrives. I was going to surprise her by jumping out of nowhere. The plan was good in mind, but it wasn't good in action. I waited and waited. Then all of a sudden, I heard the sounds of hooves. It was going to be great. I jumped out from the tree that I was hiding in and lifted my arms above my head and made a roar. However... Fate had other plans it seems. The ones I jumped out to, was four foals and one grown mare. I frozen in shock and fright. This wasn't Cady. She was supposed to be here at this time. Why is she... Not here? The thought on where Cady was fled like the foals and mare did. Although my thought was quieted while the foals and mare's was screams and shouts. They ran the opposite direction like I did to them in panic. My cover was blown. The woods was not safe anymore. I looked around and saw my rose on the ground. I picked it up and began to run again. I climbed the trees and moved far away from where I meted the others. The screams and shouts of the small group must of caught wind, because above me was a Pegasi guard. He saw me moving through the trees and sounded the alarms. I was panicking be on belief as more of the guards came for me. I was running out of trees to move through. On the last couples of trees was the open city. If I go out there, I might get caught. But if I stay in the woods, I WILL get caught. My choice was clear... I must leave the woods and go into the city. I grabbed the last branch of the last tree and I threw myself into the nearest building and I climbed the building. I was opened for the pegasus guards to find me. But I was quick on my feet as I was free running on top of many buildings. As I was running, I was looking for where Cady was. Where could she be? Where is she? I dashed to a building with a bell tower on top of it's roof and hidden inside of it. The guards flew past the tower. I looked from the tower to see where they flew off to. The guards split into two groups and flew in different directions. Once the groups disappeared, I left the tower in search of Cady. I looked and looked until I found her... With him.
They were sitting in a local cafe. Drinking milkshake with each other. This... Boy was a white stallion with light and dark blue mane. He was talking to her as if they were a married couple. All enjoying each others company and like they were the best of friends. Is this why... Cadence didn't came to the woods? To see this boy? Why!? I looked at Cady and saw how happy she was in this stallion's present. Was she always like that when she was with me? Was she? She was there with me the day she found me. She smiles every time she seen me. But was she happy around me? Did she enjoyed my company? And what of her answer to my question. 'Maybe more?' Doubt filled my mind once more. Was that sentence a friendship's response or was a lover's response, I could not make an answer. Did she even... Did she ever loved me? The next thing they did was touch each others hooves like they were holding hands. But is he just a friend or more? Am I a friend or more? All this time we spent together, all the memories we'd shared and the fun we had. Was that all for nothing Cady? Or was it to play with emotions from another creature? I watched them with disbelief and a broken heart. She...
My thoughts was put to a stop. For a horn was sounded from a pegasus guard. I tired and faced the two groups of pegasus guards flying towards me. I turned and ran to the walls of the city.... There's nothing here for me.
I ran and ran on top of the buildings while the guards were flying above me to see where I would go next. I reached to the top of the walls and stood to see the whole of 'Equestria' in front of me. I turned my head around to see the last city I'll ever see again. But this time I saw more. Not only did I saw the guards above me. But I saw my home in the woods no longer my home. What's was worse was that from the horn blowed by one of the guards. A lot of ponies saw me and too screamed and shouted like the foals and that mare. But I heard in the crowd was someone calling my name. I looked for the source and found it. It was Cady, tears in her disbelieved eyes on a face of shock. She tried and called me back. I didn't know if it was an emotional or an angry calling from her. But the feeling returned to me again. Cady's present, now filled with betrayal and sorrow. I didn't came back to her. Instead...
I jumped.
I jumped off the walls and fell down to the ground. But thanks to the training in the woods, I didn't fell to my death, although from that fall. It stopped the guards pursue. I guess they thought I died from the fall. But nay, I did not. I'd lived and I've lived with a broken heart. I got up from the ground and legged it to a place that Cady showed me on her geology book:
The Everfree Forest.
It has been ten years since that betrayal. Ten goddamned years! I had to live on what I caught and cook it on a bunch of dead sticks. The wildlife wasn't even friendly. Almost everything inside of the forest was made to hunt you down. It's kill or be killed in the Everfree. And that's not the worse part. Even in the forest I wasn't free from the ponies. I've become an myth and a legend in a small town nearby and all across Equestria. 'The Anghenfil'. I don't even know what that even means but apparently I'm a monster that was summoned by a pony called Nightmare Moon and became a servant of darkness for her. I would go out and hunt small foals at night and catch them on top of roofs. Then I would take them away and be devoured to Nightmare Moon while in return for my services to her. I would be filled with evil powers to continue my hunt for small foals. There was one time, real hunters came to hunt me down and be taken away to God knows what. But thanks to my abilities, I'd managed to not be caught and so I went back to legend again. Just a story to scare foals to not go out at night and never set foot in the forest. I was lonely, cold and forgotten. All because of my stupid plan. But in a dark sense, I'm glad that I did. For I had found the truth with Cady... Cady. Her name gave me pain and comfort ever time I say or think her name. But I think every time I say her name, I go through a weird state where I just argue with myself.
She abandon me.
She cared for me.

She taught me!

Lies! Lies! LIES!! They were all lies. Once I got so angry that I threw the blue rose on the ground and walked away from it. I only walked a feet steps before I stopped. I looked back to the rose, helpless and cold on the ground. But a petal fell of the rose. It was dying. I gave a sad sigh and walked back to the rose to pick it up. Losing another petal in doing so. I looked at the rose with no expression on my face. This rose was my symbol and heirloom. It's what keeps me going. For every time I looked at it. I get flashback of the times where me and Cady would play in the woods, learn with each other and all of the hugs we gave. But most of the time, it would be the time where Cady kissed me on cheek. The moment I felt in love for the first time... And the last. But love's heart is filled with lies! Just to make you fall and break your spirit and soul. Nothing more and nothing less. But I've kept the rose with me all the time and I will never throw it again.
Also I heard that she got married by a pony name Shining Armour, captain of the royal guards. For some reason his name reminds me of that boy Cady was with. I hoped it wasn't him. Then I heard that she has been crowned in a place known as The Crystal Empire up in the north. Well she having a good life, isn't she? But the one that toke the cake was that she gave birthed to a young filly that she named Skyla. She has a family now!? And this Shining Armour is the farther. Normally I would be proud of this. But she has thrown me away for a unknown stallion. We've been together since we were small and now she can think she can forget about me and start a family. So The Crystal Empire is up north eh? That'll take a few days to reach there.
But I should go to give my respect to her and see this little Skyla... In the flesh. After all. I am Cady's best friend. Cady's human. So I'll give her that little surprise after all.
