Or Not To Spy. //-------------------------------------------------------// To Spy. Or Not To Spy. One especially cloudy day in Equestria's badlands sat the secret hideout of Equestria's villains. They all sat around a table discussing plans to rule Equestria. "We can take Equestria by force!"  Tirek exclaimed as he threw his first down onto the table, shaking the table. "We've Tried that many times Tirek that wont work" Sombra said, as he fixed the table as it was tilted from Tirek's sudden attack. "Why don't we try replacing someone as I did with Princess Cadence?" Chrysalis asked. "That obviously wont work now that they have a high look out for changelings." Sombra disagreed. "Well what else are we going to have to try they're obviously not going to just let one of us waltz right in and shake there hand!" Tirek exclaimed with sarcasm in his voice. "Here is your coffee sir." Zach said as he walked in with a face showing no emotion whatsoever and gave Sombra a mug of coffee. Sombra took the coffee and started drinking from the cup without even saying anything to him. "That's it!" Chrysalis exclaimed while throwing one hoof in the air. "What idiotic plan could you be thinking of this time?" Tirek said. "Why don't we send someone there who they don't know to gain there trust and defy them!" Chrysalis said loudly as she waved her arms frantically. That statement was enough to make Sombra spit out his coffee, which got all over Tirek who glared at him menacingly. "That could work but who do we have to send that they wont recognize?" Sombra asked as he levitated a napkin to Tirek who grabbed it and wiped himself off. "We could send him." Chrysalis said as she pointed to Zach who looked very surprised at her statement and almost fell over as he turned around. "M-Me?" Zach said as he pointed to himself. "Please. That boy couldn't walk and chew bubblegum let alone spy for us." Tirek said as he laughed to himself. "You have any better ideas?" Sombra asked sarcastically as he took another sip of his coffee. While Tirek just glared at him in silence. "Then Its Settled!" Chrysalis agreed. "We're sending the boy!" //-------------------------------------------------------// Off To The Castle.... Or Not //-------------------------------------------------------// Off To The Castle.... Or Not The next day they all had there plan ready to be put to action. The 4 were on top of one of Equestria's snowy mountains that lied far behind the princess's castle in Canterlot. Rain had just begun falling exactly on the pegasus's schedule, although they were higher then the clouds so no one would notice. "I'm not so sure about this guys...." Zach said as he started backing up. "Nonsense we must go through with this." Chrysalis said as Tirek gave Zach a little shove forward but Zach being the klutz that he is fell over on his face. "Lets go over the plan one more time." Sombra said as Zach stood back up and brushed himself off. "So you fly towards the princesses castle and 'accidentally' crash near it." Chrysalis said as she put her hoof on his shoulder, being the only one who actually has put faith in him. "Then they take you in, and you crush them!" Tirek said loudly while tensing up his fist. "Tirek!" Sombra yelled with impatience as he glared at him. "Fine! You act like you have amnesia from the crash and gain there trust." Tirek said as he snorted. "Then you get one of the Elements of Harmony to show you around and become there 'friend'." Sombra said with a devilish grin on his face. "After that you stay there friend for about a month or so and that's when you give each of them one of these." Chrysalis began as she held out 6 necklaces with gems in them. "Those necklaces have a gem in them called "Disharmony Stones", which renders there 'Magic of friendship' useless." Chrysalis finished as she gave them to Zach and he hid them at the bottom of his saddlebag. "Now off you go." Tirek said as he pushed Zach to the edge of the cliff. "Ok then, here I go." Zach said with a gulp then jumped off the cliff and flapped his wings and went soaring towards the castle. After a few minutes of flying Zach could finally see a clear image of the castle. "Whoa that's really big!" Zach exclaimed as he gazed at it with wide eyes. Much to his disgust while Zach has his mouth open a parasprite flew into it and he started choking. While trying to get it out with his front hooves he swerved left and right until he made a hard right turn into Sweet Apple Acres. "G-Gah!" Zach said as he noticed he was about to crash into Sweet Apple Acres' barn house. Right before he hit it he finally got the parasprite out but it was to late to turn when he crashed right into the kitchen of the barn house, instantly knocking him unconscious. When Zach finally opened his eyes he was laying on a pile of hay bales with a mare, filly, colt, and an older mare. "Uggg.... where am I.. wait.. this is like the dream where i get kidnapped and the doctors do experiments on me!!" "GET AWAY YOU D-" Began but couldn't finish because the orange mare was holding his mouth shut. "Now hold on there partner." She said while still trying to stop him from making muffled noises. "We're not here to hurt ya." she said with a concerned look on her face. Once Zach finally calmed down she removed her hoof. "W-Where am I... What Happened..." Zach began before getting interrupted by the filly. "Your at Sweet Apple Acres! You crashed into the barn over there, it was kinda funny." she said while chuckling. "AppleBloom!" the mare said while glaring at her. "Sorry sis." Applebloom said with a little frown. "Okay.... and you guys are?" Zach said while still holding his head. "Names AppleJack." She said. "Im Applebloom!" Applebloom said with enthusiasm in her voice. "That There's Big Mac." Applejack said. "Eyup." Big Mac agreed. "And over there's Granny Smith." she said while pointing over to Granny Smith, while she was mumbling something to herself while glaring at him. "Okay then... Well I'm Zach." he said. "Well I should really get going an-" Zach started. "Well its getting late it'd be best if y'all stayed here for the night." Applejack said while Zach looked over and the sun was setting. "Yeah... i guess your right....and i don't really remember where i live...." Zach lied trying to stick to the plan. "You Got Amnesia?!" AppleBloom and AppleJack  said in unison. "Yeah I think so....." Zach said with a little frown. "Well I reckon a good nights sleep will help ya remember better." AppleJack said with a little smile. "Yeah so cmon its gettin dark out." Applebloom said. "Okay...." Zach said as he followed them in silence. "Here's the guest room." Applejack said as she pointed to a door. "Well see ya tomorrow." she said as she walked to her room and closed the door. Zach walked in the door and gazed around for moment looking around. "Seems pretty safe.." Zach said as he laid down on the bed and gazed out the window, thinking about what the future might hold. //-------------------------------------------------------// A Little 'Crush' In The Plan //-------------------------------------------------------// A Little 'Crush' In The Plan It was the next day and an especially sunny one at that. Down in Sweet Apple Acres there was one pegasus there who felt lost and had no idea where he lived, or that's so they thought. Zach stretched as he woke up from his sleep and looked at the window and saw the apple family hard at work with there daily activities. He yawned as he walked out of the room and down the stairs. "Do I Smell Pancakes?" Zach said as he walked down the stairs and looked at the table and saw a plate with 2 pancakes on them. "Oh there are pancakes!" Zach said as he drooled a little. As Zach walked up to the table and saw a note "It says.. 'We made pancakes and ate ours so we left these out for you. "Hmm that's pretty nice of them." Zach said as he sat down and started eating some of the pancakes. "Wow, these pancakes are really good." Zach said as he was chewing on the pancakes so his voice sounded muffled. After Zach finished the pancakes he walked outside, for a second he just stood there admiring the apples hard work. "Well howdy there Zach." AppleJack said as she finished bucking the apples off a tree and walked over to him. "Oh, hi AppleJack." he began "You guys really work hard." he continued while gazing at the orchard which was already almost half empty of apples. "Well we have to make a living somehow and its Apple buckin' season!" AppleJack with alot of enthusiasm. "Apple...bucking...season?" Zach asked sounding very confused. "It's the season when the apples are perfectly ripe so we gotta get em' fast." AppleJack said as she held out an apple that was the perfect shade of red. "Of that makes sense I guess." Zach said as he took the Apple and bit into it and much to his surprise it tasted like there was a rainbow shooting out of his mouth. "Woah that's the best thing I've ever tasted!" Zach Yelled as he ate the whole thing. "That's what they all say the first time they taste one of are apples." AppleJack said while a big smile. "Well I only really remember tasting 2 things, your pancakes, which were delightful by the way thanks, and this apple." Zach lied as he didn't really have amnesia. "Speaking of that I guess ya don't have your memory back." AppleJack said with a frown. "No sorry AppleJack I don't" Zach said proving her thought right. "Too bad there's not just a spell that can fix this." he said while shrugging. "That's it!" AppleJack yelled causing the rest of the Apple family to stare at her. "Hehe.." she said with a fake smile. "What's it" he asked not knowing he just have her the answer. "We can get Twilight to use a spell to cure y'all!" AppleJack said while smiling widely. "You mean Twilight the princess of friendship!?" Zach asked sounding very surprised. "In the flesh" AppleJack said "Wait, are you an Element of Harmony?!" Zach said gasping out loud, surprised to be so close to one of his master's greatest enemies. "Yeah, Element of Honesty in your service." AppleJack said while stepping forward in a proud stance. "Wow that's awesome!" He said even though he knows she's his enemy. "It's not much of a big deal.." AppleJack said while blushing. When he saw she was blushing he started blushing in turn and they just stood there in akward silence for a few moments. "Well be better get going to Twilight's castle." AppleJack said breaking the silence. "Yeah we should, but what about your work?" Zach said while looking at the apple farm. "Oh Big Mac can handle it, right Big Mac?" She said while turningand looking at him. "Eeyup" He said while getting back to piling hay bales. "Okay then let's get going" Zach said as he waited for AppleJack to start walking towards Twilight 's castle. When she started walking he followed behind her slowly. On the way there he gazed at all the views like SugarCube Corner and the old burnt down Golden Oak Library. When they finally reached Twilight's castle Zach was amazed at the Crystal all over it and the overall design and beauty of the castle. "Woahhh." was all Zach could make out because he was to busy admiring the castle. "Cool isn't it?" AppleJack asked as she looked continued walking. Zach couldn't even begin to describe the castle so he just started walking with his mouth open trying to think of what to say. Finally Zach thought of something to say "Cool? Cool is an understatement. That's the most awesome thing I've ever seen!" Zach yelled while he waved one hoof around. When they finally arrived they walked in the the giant castle doors and up the stairs to find Twilight sitting at the main table reading a book. "Oh hey AppleJack and... Who's that?" Twilight asked while starting at Zach. When Zach saw twilight he just froze, he was stunned by her beauty he just as stared at the lavender mare. Her flowing purple and magenta mane, her beautifully shaped wings, her gleaming purple eyes, they all just stole Zach's heart the instant he saw her. "Zach? Zach!" AppleJack said snapping Zach out of his trance. "W-Wha?" He asked not knowing why she was calling his name. "Aren't ya gonna introduce yourself?" She asked while looking confused at him. "I-Im Zachary Anemy.. but you can just call me Zach." He said nervously. "Okay Zach, I'm Twilight Sparkle but you can call me Twilight." She said with a smile. "So AppleJack what brings you here?" Twilight asked looking a little confused. "Well, Zach here has amnesia and we were hoping you had a spell that could help him regain his memories." She said while looking at Zach. "Yeah." Zach said drowsily as he was fawning over her. "Oh, Yeah I think I have a spell to cure as amnesia." Twilight said while looking through one of her books. "See Zach, I told ya she could help you." AppleJack said while looking at Zach who was still fawning over Twilight. "Here it is." Twilight said while reading the book. "Okay get reading I'm going to try it." Twilight said while walking over to him. "A-Alright." he said unsure about how it would turn out if he didn't have amnesia. "Here we go" Twilight said as her horn started to glow and then so did Zach until it faded out into nothing. "How do ya feel?" AppleJack said as she looked at Zach. "I don't feel any different." he said butt as he spoke they noticed the inside of his mouth was neon blue and his tongue was a neon magenta pinkish color. "Well thats weird it did something totally different." Twilight said with a little sad expression on her face. "W-What did it do?" Zach asked a little scared for the answer. "Well your mouth is blue and purplish pink." AppleJack said while handing him a mirror. "It's magenta, blue and magenta." Twilight corrected her nicely. When Zach say his mouth he freaked out for a sec. "Oh my gosh I look weird!" Zach Yelled . "Hey its not so bad it looks kinda cool." Twilight said in an attempt to calm him down. "You really think so?" He said calming down a bit. "Yeah I mean it didn't cure your amnesia but it still looks cool." She said smiling at him a little. "Wow thanks Twilight." he said hugging her which made them both blush. After they broke the hug they were in a state of akward silence. "Well I'd better get going I have to get back to buckin apples." AppleJack said breaking the silence once again "I should help to I mean I owe you one I did kinda break your wall.." "Now y'all 'll don't have to do that." AppleJack said. "No I insist, I really don't have anything else to do." Zach said as he walked over to AppleJack. "Okay I guess if ya insist." she said a little uncertainty. "Well see ya twilight!" AppleJack said she started walking out the door with Zach. "Yeah thanks for the help!" He said walking away. "Well he was... nice." Twilight said with a little smile. //-------------------------------------------------------// Formal Introductions //-------------------------------------------------------// Formal Introductions As Zach and Applejack were on their way home they came across a pink mare with a bouncy pink mane who was turned around talking to a little green alligator. "Hey is that your friend Pinkie Pie you were telling me about Applejack?" Zach said while walking up to her. "You're Pinkie Pie right?" He asked while tapping her shoulder. As the pink mare turned around to face him she inhaled very loudly then ran away at speeds she shouldn't be capable of. "Well that was... interesting... are all your other friends like that?" Zach said sarcastically, while Applejack rolled her eyes. "Well at least this town is intresti-" Zach said before he fell backwards because a certain blue pegasus just swooped down and flew right past him. "Hey, watch where your going!" Zach yelled as he stood back up brushing himself off. "How do pegasi even fly that fast!" He said angrily. "Don't mind Rainbow Dash, she means well even if she acts before she thinks." AJ said while looking up seeing Rainbow Dash doing tricks and loops with a rainbow trail being left behind her. "Ok, even with almost killing me, that's pretty cool." Zach said in astonishment. When Rainbow Dash landed she skidded until she slowly came to a stop next to Zach and AJ. "So, You must be the new guy in town?" Rainbow said as she flew around them. "God it's been like 15 minutes how fast does word get around here?" He said. "With Pinkie Pie, light speed" She said while flying around us "Well ya nearly killed 'im with that stunt ya know." AJ almost shouted. "Yeah... sorry about that i was going to fast to stop, and if i slowed down i would've hit you so...." Rainbow apologized while flying in place. "Eh no biggie just try to watch out. Why were you doing all those tricks for anyway?" He asked looking slightly confused. "Oh, I'm training for a competition tomorrow, gotta do the small things first if i wanna make my way up to the Wonderbolts!" She said with a grin. "You should check it out, since i'm a racer I get to bring a guest" She said while holding up a ticket. Zach stared the ticket in astonishment. "Really, your inviting me?" He said, still surprised "Sure why not, all of my pegasi friends have something going on today and the race is being held in Cloudsdale so unicorns and earth ponies cant come." She explained. "Wow, Thanks Rainbow, I don't know what to say." He said while taking the ticket and smiling widely. "Cool then, i gotta go practice some moves if i wanna win, not like anyone else has a chance though, oh by the way the race is at 4!" She said while flying off fast. "Well that was cool, plus i got something to do tomorrow now He said while scratching his ear awkwardly. "So should we get to the barn to help with the work?" Zach said while starting to walk. "Yeah we better catch up on that sugar cube." AJ said as she followed him back to Sweet Apple Acres, occasionally making small talk along the way. When they got there it was mid day and about half the work was done due to Big Mac. "Well time to get to work!" Zach said with lots of enthusiasm as he ran up and bucked a tree with only 2 or 3 apples falling into conveniently placed baskets. "How do you ponies do this." He Mumbled to himself while sighing. By the time all the work was done it was sunset everyone was tired, especially Zach do to him having to buck each tree multiple times for all the apples to fall. "Well its about time to hit the hay don't ya think?" Applejack said looking over at Zach who was comically punching the hay stack. "I didn't mean it literally." Applejack joked as she started walking back into the barn, Zach following close behind. Next morning wasn't a usual one for Zach, because he ended up waking up at about 5 AM because Winona was barking and he couldn't go back to sleep so he was awake before the Apple family. "How do they stay asleep with this noise." Zach said while going to Winona and calming her down "Well if i'm up i might as well start making the breakfast." Zach said yawning. "Lets make some eggs." Zach said while rummaging through the cabinets. "Okay Butter, Eggs, and Milk." Zach said while mentally crossing items off the list and started looking around. "Now wheres the salt and pepper?" Zach asked to no one in particular as he rummaged around, he opened one of the cabinets and comically, a bag of flour fell onto his head. "Well Frick." he said while wiping flower from his eyes. After he cleaned up his mess it was already around 6:15 so he got to making the eggs, as he was about ready to set them up on the table at about 7:00 he heard a faint yawning sound and looked over to see Apple Bloom walking down the stairs yawning. "Oh mornin', Apple Bloom, " he said while putting the egg plates on the table. "Mornin'" she said while rubbing her eyes. "I was up so i decided to make eggs, its not much but its food." Zach said while shrugging. "Thanks for making these, why are you up anyway?" she asked while sitting down. "Well I heard barking and i'm not the kind to go back to sleep after I wake up so i just started making stuff, figured its the least i could do." Zach started while eating his share of pancakes. Apple Bloom nodded as she was eating her pancakes. "Oh, hey y'all I didn't know you were up." AJ said walking down the stairs. "Eh, blame your dog for me, i cant vouch for your sister though." Zach said while point an egg beater to Apple Bloom. "But eh, its about time to get up anyway" Zach said while shrugging. After they started eating, Macintosh coming downstairs a few minutes later, Apple Bloom headed out for school and they all started to get to the farm work.
