//-------------------------------------------------------// What A Load of Spore -by lowfn- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Shootin' The Breeze //-------------------------------------------------------// Shootin' The Breeze It was so boring in Equestria. Or at least it was for me, considering all I'm good at is making a small gust of wind. Other than doing that I mostly just stay at home and laze about. My home, like its owner, wasn't all that impressive. It was pretty small, with only four rooms, a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and a bedroom. It was more of an apartment if anything. All I can do at thet is have one of my feathers just hover above me by flapping my wigs to make a breeze. After about two hours that gets boring though. Thankfully, it's that time of the year, the beginning of winter! When I can finally get it and use my breeze 'skills' to clear the trees of their leaves. I glanced at my clock and groaned, "Only 10..." Sadly the whole winter thing doesn't start until hours later and I had no way to entertain myself. It got to the point where I decided to go outside and try the whole socializing crap again. I never was too good at that. I always seemed to be 'awkward' and 'un-talkative' according to others. But hey, nothing wrong with trying again right? I opened my door, looking out at the streets of Cloudsdale, observing the other pegasi go about their business. This was pretty fun too, just pony watching. You could almost always see something funny happen. For instance, one time this group of pegasi were carrying a bunch of stuff like a piano and an anvil, and they managed to drop all of it on this unicorn down on the ground! She was alright afterwards, so I guess it's not mean to laugh, right? I stepped outside of my home and take a deep breath of fresh air, strange confidence filling my lungs. Maybe today wouldn't be such a bad day? I might even make a friend or something! Or at the very least, an acquaintance. One pony gave me a weird look before continuing their walk down the cloudy sidewalk. I never got that, if we have wings, why do we have streets and sidewalks and all that? Wait, why did he give me a weird look? Meh, whatever. I confidentially walked around, eyes closed as I hummed a tune, before silently singing the lyrics to the song everypony sings during winter wrap up. Which is pretty ironic in my opinion considering today is when winter starts. When I opened my eyes a faint glimmer caught my attention from an alleyway. I looked around and suddenly the area of Cloudsdale I was in was empty, only the sounds of faraway busy work and singing about turtles and flying. I dexuded not to dwell upon the songs, and looked around a bit before walking towards the alley, curious to see what the glimmer was coming from. I entered the small space and saw the light was being reflected off of some metal thing under a tarp. Which was strange considering metal should fall through the floor since it's made of clouds, I don't understand these things and I never will. I lifted the tarp, revealing what looked like a giant plate. Made of metal. Was this for those silver platter things I've heard about? I heard a loud scream from behind me and only caught a faint glimpse of some disgusting creature before falling onto my back on the metal plate. It's screams were drowned out by my own as I cowered in fear. "PLEASE DON'T HURT ME IM JUST A BREEZE MAKER," I screamed, though at the end it just became gibberish which morphed into mindless screaming. It took me a few minutes to realize the other thing wasn't screaming anymore, nor was I in the alley! "Are you done yet," asked some wnnoying monotone voice from behind. I turned around and saw another one of those creatures! I was in a white room! There everywhere! I saw them cover their.. Whatever they had for ears I guess when I started screaming again.
