"It was a rainy evening after school just like this one..."

"Running down the stairs, the kindly teacher lost her footing. She tumbled, and she fell...and she died"

It was quite dark, in the classroom that was occupied by  mares and a filly. Only a single candle was dimly lit, failing to conceal the face of the unicorn who was telling the spooky story.

"...You've all heard the stories, right? Before Canterlot Academy was built here, there was another school on this property. Heavenly Host, it was called. Such a horrible thing the happen...the principal was devastated. He cared for the school almost as if it were his own child. But one thing lead to another after the incident...and finally, a decision was reached. The school was going to be shut down"

"The principal was so stricken with grief over losing his precious child that on the day of its closure...he climbed up to its roof and threw himself to his death. Or so the story goes..."

Purple magic wrapped itself around the light switch at the door near the front of the classroom. The room they were in was suddenly illuminated and Applejack let out a small gasp of surprise. However, Twilight kept on with the story.

"Ponies thought that Heavenly Host was cursed, since this was only the first of many deaths to occur there. That's why it was torn down...However!They say the teacher who fell down the stairs has no idea that she's dead, even to this day...And on rainy evenings like this, after our school day's come to an end...some say she roams these darkened hallways..."

"S t i l l  b e l i e v i n g  t h e m  t o  b e  h e r  o w n"

"In fact, it's almost time for her to make her visit! Just after seven o'clock...That's when she appears, always accompanied by a sudden blackout that leaves the entire building dark as night..."

" 'knock, knock' you'll hear from the shadows...followed by the sound of the classroom door ssslowly sssliding open...As her pale face cuts through the stillness her soft voice always echoes the same question: 'I s  a n y p o n y  s t i l l  h e r e ?'    And then..."

The lightning from outside echoed in the room, but also caused a blackout. Applejack let out a yelp in shock, but wasn't the only one who was surprised as Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie screamed as well.

"It's...a blackout! " Applejack nervously stuttered out.

"Applejack, please don't scare all of us like that..." Fluttershy mumbled.

Next to them, Twilight Sparkle frowned.

"I don't like this...This shouldn't be happening..." Though no one could see her, they could hear the worry in her voice as she spoke. As Twilight began to think of the reason for the sudden blackout, a raspy voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Not bad Twilight, you had me going there for a minute" Rainbow Dash sounded somewhat smug while saying this.

"It wasn't me! I've been standing here the whole time! This is a real blackout!" Twilight shouted in frustration. She didn't like being accused of joking around at a time like this.

Further from them, a small white unicorn filly spoke up in fear,

"Does...anypony else hear that?!"

Her older sister, Rarity, responded uncharacteristically calmly,

"It sounds like its coming from the music room, Sweetie..."

Everyone turned toward the direction of the noise and stood in a tense silence. Very faintly, they all heard something knocking on the door. Twilight's eyes widened,

"No way..."

Sweetie Bell was frozen in fear. 'First the blackout and now the door...'She thought.

Even though Applejack was a strong pony she wasn't used to these kind of situations where there was possibly a dead pony standing right on the other side of the door, she let out whimper
