Finding a Pony that may not exist
''So, tell us again why were going all this way?'' Rainbow Dash asked Twilight as they got off the train, which had taken them as far north as possible. ''Remember when we visited the Castle of Two Sisters? well I found a book that seems to be a document written by the Princesses parents. Apparently Luna and Celestia had a younger sister. but, not even a few months after the youngest was born, their mother had a vision of Luna turning into Nightmare Moon and only Celestia could defeat her, so, to protect the youngest, they sent her away as far north as they could and planned on telling Celestia when she was older but they died before they could..
Princess Celestia asked us to go see if she was still around so we can reunite them'' Twilight explained. Everyone was very excited as they went from town to town looking for the supposed lost princess but, their excitement slowly dimmed as each town they visited said no alicorns lived in the town.
''This is boring! How are we suppose to find her! we ran out of towns to check'' Rainbow Dash shouted to Twilight. The winds howled away, making walking horribly cold and flying even worse.
''Lets not focus on that right now, we need to find Sh-'' Applejack was cut off as she went sliding down a steep hill, along with the other mane 6.
They all screamed in fear as they tumbled and rolled roughly down the snowy mountain. Rainbow dash and Fluttershy tried their best to use their wings but the wind proved to be to strong and tossed them about, making their ride down the mountain much more painful and rough.
But, as they spotted a fast approaching cliff, an orange glow went around their bodies, saving them from what would have been a gruesome death.
They all looked around, then up to see a black cloaked pony flying with visibly huge wings. Twilight knew right away that it must be the lost princess.
The magical levitation continued as the pony flew to down through the wind with ease until they came up on a small wood cabin, hidden by snowy wind and tall trees. The pony landed in the deck and stopped the levitation spell, dropping the 6 gently on their hooves.
''Thank you for saving us!'' Twilight said and waited for the pony to reveal itself.
The pony stepped inside the wood cabin ''Please, come inside'' the mares soft voice said and took off the black cloak, revealing a dark grey body with her legs slowly fading into a dark purple at the hooves, beautiful bright pink eyes, fluffy wings and a horn. She was also slightly taller then Twilight. ''I'm Lunar Lights'' she said and bowed lightly.
''Again, thank you, I'm Twilight Sparkle and these ponies are my friends. Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack, Flutter shy and Pinkie Pie and Rarity. Are you, by any chance a princess?'' Twilight asked, looking at Lunar's wings and horn.
Embarrassed, Lunar Lights folded her wings in and looked down at the ground, her cheeks red. ''No, I was just born this way. I can..'' She said trailed off as she looked to her wings, her horn began glowing orange and with a slight poof, her wings disappeared like they were never there.
The mane 6 looked surprised at her magical skills. Twilight taking the most interest. ''Wow, not even I can do such a spell, how did you learn it?'' Twilight asked and rudely began poking around at Lunar's back.
''Um, I didn't, I just knew how to?'' Lunar asked more then explained.
At the time the other 5 began looking around the small cabin which had beautiful and unique paintings hung on the walls, which were even painted with the beautiful glittery paint.
''wow, Lunar, did you do these?'' Rarity asked, pointing to one she liked the most.
''Oh! Yes, I know a spell to make the sort of paints'' Lunar said and made a small lasso of light appear above her, letting it slowly expand and get bigger. Oohs and ahhs filled the room as they all watched the beautiful array of light float above their heads.
''Your very talented'' Twilight said and watched as the lights disappeared as they hit the walls.
''Thank you. that means very much to me'' Lunar said with a smile.
''We don't mean to be rube, sugar pie, but how long have you....been around?'' Apple Jack asked. This question caught Lunar Lights by surprise because for as long as she could remember. She was around for over 16 generations and not once had she questioned why.
''I um... a long time'' She admitted and backed away, afraid they'd get scared or think badly of her.
''Really! Oh this is so great! we need to take you to your sisters!'' Twilight excitedly hopped up, happy to finally find the lost sister.
Lunar Lights looked surprised. She had no idea what Twilight was talking about. ''I'm sorry Twilight sparkle but... I don't have any sisters'' Lunar said carefully.
''Oh yes you do. It explains it all in here'' Pinkie Pie said and set the big journal down on the table and opened it to the page where it talked of the third sister.
After a few minutes of reading it, Lunar sighed ''I may fit the description of the filly on this book but how do you know its me?'' Lunar asked, having her doubts.
''There's no need to be scared about it Lunar. You can still be our friend, even if your not the princess'' Flutter shy said, walking over to Lunar, sensing she was fearful.
''....Really?'' Lunar asked and looked to the ground, smiling. ''Alright''
