Dawning Star was born into an all Earth Pony family. Her family has run Saddle Valley Gardens & Farm for as long as Saddle Valley town has been standing. With a famous family and a famous farm Dawning Star has had all the attention and love she could ever want. However she has a secret only her parents and three other siblings know about, she is a Pegasus.

If her extended family ever found out it would mean being exiled from the family and being cut off from Saddle Valley society. So ever since she could remember she has kept her wings a secret from the rest of her family. Posing as an hoodie wearing Earth Pony she works and manages her family farm. Until one day her secret is exposed by the one Pony she trusted the most.

From there on she runs away in search for a new life where she can be herself without worry. Exhausted from her travels she winds up on the doorstep of a famous rainbow maned Wonderbolt. From there she is excepted into Ponyville and her new life begins. However will her life back in Saddle Valley catch up her?
