The Amnesiac of a Demon:
Daggerpoint sighed. He had been running for weeks now. His usually spiked blue and dark red hair was matted to his forehead, and one of his angelic looking wings was broken from when thatthing caught up to him. On his flank was a scar, a square scar, which showed that his cutie mark was cut or burned off. He could use magic, as all unicorns and alicorns could, though he had no idea what magic he could use, but he intended to find out. His face remained an emotional mask and his eyes glowed blood red as he remembered what happened... The shadow had toyed with him, and then threw him against a wall. The only reason Dagger got away was because he was able to use magic. He couldn’t remember what he did to escape, though.
He stopped for a breather. He didn’t know what was chasing him, but the whole time he was running, he never saw the open sky. He couldn’t remember anything but his name and a few words that replayed over and over in his head.
“Kill the 6” the voice told him.
Daggerpoint looked back to see if he could find the source of the words. Looking around, he again had no luck. He felt like dying. Killing himself. He hated this running game, yet he was surprised at how far he could run without being tired. He must have ran at least 4 miles without stopping, full sprint. His sleek and small red and black body was covered in sweat. He was almost out of energy. He wondered why he was being chased, why he couldn’t remember who he was, only his name. Yet this fighting came naturally. He spun and dodged like it was child’s play. Though he couldn’t keep up the facade for much longer.
He allowed himself a bit of rest after finding a cave that seemed safe from that…that…THING. He tried to remember what happen. All he could remember is him being bound by chains, breaking out and escaping from that fortress, and then that….shadow showed up. Nothing stopped it, none of Dagger’s magic worked. The more he dwelled upon the even though, the more his mind hurt. All of the sudden his head felt like it exploded; and he could remember images of the past, bits and pieces. He saw himself standing in a sea of bodies, stained with blood and laughing. He saw his hoof through the heart of a mare he couldn’t remember, but he knew she was important. The one final image was the most bonechilling. He saw him and a group of 4 other ponies torturing a celestial looking, armored guard. They were cutting him up slowly and laughing, all of them enjoying it. He snapped back to reality, sweating gallons. He slammed his foot against the ground, and screamed into the dark world.
“BUCK” he yelled, pissed that he wasn’t even allowed a rest, a chance to regain energy and memory. He tried to formulate a plan for escaping this world, and he came up with an idea. He decided to try to break through the rocky ceiling. He flew towards the top and saw the shadow coming. He flew away then started concentrating on the ceiling, directing the whole of his magic towards breaking the ceiling above him. He was almost depleted of energy, and he saw the ceiling start to crack.
He started to think, “Shitshitshitshitshitshit”, as he couldn’t make more than a few cracks in the ceiling.
“YOU’VE GOT TO BE BUCKING KIDDING ME!” as he completely ran out of energy.
The ceiling of this strange land was cracked, and he decided he had to work fast. He splinted his broken wing.
“Owowowowowow” he stared yelling at the top of his lungs. He finished and said, “Ok Dagger, you can do this”, he crouched to gain momentum and launched off the ground towards the ceiling.
“AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” he screamed as a huge explosion was heard throughout that strange land as he broke the sound barrier by complete accident.
He sped towards the ceiling, crashed through it, and shot up into…another world. “What is this light?” dagger asked. Where he came from, he didn’t know, but it was always dark. His eyes, spent in a life of darkness, couldn’t adjust to the light. He developed a raging migraine that sent him to his knees. He looked around weakly, then collapsed, too tired to say anything. A certain rainbow colored Pegasus was flying overhead and she saw him lying there.
“HOLD ON!” she flew at him and scooped him up. To her, he reeked of death, of brimstone….”What does this mean?“She thought aloud.
Dagger was close to passing out, so Rainbowdash decided to hurry him to Fluttershy, as she knew she would help him, even if he was a stranger. He had a strange scar on his flank, and he had bands on his legs that looked like they were….melded onto him. He was mumbling in his sleep, she caught the words “dominus”, “Assassins”, and “Endings”. She had no idea what those words meant, and to find out, she decided to visit Twilight, that mare was a total bookworm. She would know what they meant.
“Let me go” mumbled Dagger.
Rainbowdash replied, “What”?
He said, a bit more stern, “let me down!”
“No, you’re in bad condition; I’m bringing you to a friend of mine that can fix you up”
“Fix me up?”
Rainbowdash looked at him skeptically, not believing that he didn’t know what she meant.
He noticed. “What’s the look for?”
“Nothing at all, can I ask you something”?
“Go ahead.”
“Can I ask where you’re from?”
“Tell you the truth, I can’t remember. I can only remember my name and…..” he decided not to tell her about the voices telling him to “kill the six”. For some reason, he thought it would freak her out.
“And what?”
“I can’t remember” he lied coyly.
“Well….ok. WE’RE HERE!” Rainbowdash yelled, feeling uneasy.
“Where?” Dagger looked around in confusion.
Rainbowdash facehoofed. Had this…she struggled for a name in her mind. Had this thing been listening at all? “We’re at Fluttershy’s house. Duh”
Dagger wondered just what kind of pony this Fluttershy was. He then realized he was caked in dry blood. HIS blood. He remembered what happened right before he showed up in this land.
Rainbowdash gently landed, still scared of this small, yet seemingly lethal stallion. She still wondered about his…aura, and his scars.
She walked up to the door and knocked.
Dagger was surprised to see a yellow and pink mare open the door. He was struck by how good she looked. “What the hell is she? She doesn’t look like me; I thought all the others …..Wait who were the others again? I can’t…remember.”
“H-hello Dash” the shy mare said to the rainbow Pegasus.
“Hey Fluttershy, I found a stallion lying near a crevice by Sugarcube Corner. He’s banged up pretty bad. Do you think you could help him?”
“I-if you w-want me to. Where is t-this stallion?” Fluttershy seemed scared; she wasn’t good with meeting new people...
“He’s right behind….wait where’d he go?” RD said as she looked around.
RD flew upwards, looking around for him. Fluttershy found him first though, and started to rush to him only to back up quickly as she smelled the brimstone and scent of dead bodies. She was scared out of her mind, but curious. She wanted to know where this….hellish smelling stallion came from. His angelic wings seemed to contrast with his body and face, which looked more demonic, evil, even….LETHAL. Her eyes finally dropped upon the scar on his flank. She remembered that only ponies who committed grave crimes had that happen to them. Her mind screamed out, “DANGER!” but it was her duty to help those in need. She wondered if it was her duty that made her want to help him or her certain…attraction towards him. He seemed to draw her to him. His mane, his body, his wings, his broken horn. All of these drew her to him, the only problem; he looked…evil. There were no other words to describe it. She was interrupted from her thoughts by RD.
“You find him?” RD yelled from the opposite direction.
“Y-yes!” Fluttershy said in a loud voice, which was still pretty quiet
“What?”
“YES!”
“I still can’t hear you!” RD flew over to her.
“H-he’s unlike any other pony I’ve seen. H-he seems dark, evil even…”
“I thought the same. He told me he couldn’t remember anything. He started tell me he only remembered his name, but knew something else. He wouldn’t tell me what it was”
“W-what did h-he say his n-name was?”
Rainbowdash noticed Fluttershy was stuttering more than usual, and that she couldn’t take her eyes off that stallion.
“Daggerpoint”
Fluttershy thought she’d heard that name somewhere. She’d ask Twi about it later.
“T-take him in, be careful though, his wing is broke”
Together they picked him up and carried him inside and laid him on a bed. Fluttershy took a look at him, and realized how bad of shape he was in. The alicorn had various cuts, some bleeding profusely. He had a few broken ribs, a broken wing, and several bruises. She wondered what this curious alicorn went through to get to pony Ville from wherever he came from.
Rainbowdash tried to start a conversation with Fluttershy as they bandaged him up.
“Aren’t there only a few alicorns in Equestria?”
Fluttershy thought about it, then said, “I think you’re right…i-if I know all the a-alicorns.”
“What alicorns do you know?”
“Celestia and Luna”
“That’s I remember too, this is weird. They’re supposed to be nearly extinct” Rainbowdash said skeptically, eying dagger’s cracked horn.
They both looked at the injured alicorn, and RD laughed.
“This one can’t even compare to Luna or Celestia, so why are we so amazed?”
Fluttershy thought RD sounded like she was just trying to convince herself. She’d ask about that later.
“Hey D-dash, you can go now, I’m just going to patch Dagger up”.
Rainbowdash flew out the door and headed to Twilight’s to ask for information about this so called Daggerpoint.
