When the psychiatrist Dr Deep receives a message from Twilight Sparkle about her friend Rainbow Dash, he quickly makes his way to Dash's house. As he slowly learns more about the mare, he begins to realise how difficult her life just might be.

After growing more accustomed to his presence, she asks him to go with her and her friends as they go on a mission for the princess. He is not to interfere, not being an adventurous pony, but he is supposed to listen to Dash's troubles. Listening is what he's good at.
