Chapter 1: New friends, new enemies
"3, 2, 1, let it rip!" Gingka Hagane yelled as he launched his bey, Cosmic Pegasus. Gingka was the strongest member of his friends' team, and pretty much the most skilled. His rival, Kyoya, was also battling with him, using his Fang Leone, 135 W2D.
"Get him, Leone, attack Pegasus with everything you got!" Kyoya yelled. Leone dash for Pegasus, their fusion wheels clashing.
"Hmm, you've gotten good, Kyoya." Gingka chuckled. After their recent victory with Nemesis, Gingka and the others thought it best to train for any future battles. Meanwhile, in a land called Equestria, a certain purple alicorn was going through her books with Spike, her number one assistant.
"Spike, where is the book on the History of Ponyville? I thought I had it with the other history books." Twilight said, puzzled. Spike walked up with a book in his hands.
"Here it is, Twilight." Spike said as Twilight used her magic to levitate the book back into place. Just as she did, Flash Sentry, her coltfriend, burst in the room, panting heavily.
"Twilight, you're needed at the Crystal Empire at once. It's of the utmost emergency." Flash told her. Twilight ran outside with him and they spread their wings out, taking off to the Empire. They arrived there a few minutes later, with Cadence waiting for them.
"Twilight, this couldn't have come at a worse time. The mirror you went through that sent you where Sunset Shimmer now lives, it's re-activated, and nopony knows how or why." Cadence explained, leading Twilight and Flash into the room with the mirror. It was glowing a sinister looking blue, and with sparks coming out of it.
"What happened?" Twilight asked, confused. Cadence sighed.
"Somepony must've either activated it manually, because the thirty moons aren't up yet. Wherever it goes, nopony knows." She said. Then, Twilight gasped as the portal began to draw her closer to it.
"It's got some kind of gravitational field, and it's pulling me in!" Twilight screamed as she tried to escape the gravitational pull. Flash ran up and tried to help Twilight, just then, the portal sparked, and both Flash and Twilight were pulled through, the portal closing behind them. Shining Armor had arrived just to see it happen, his eyes wide with shock.
"As long as Flash is with Twily, she should be alright. I trust Flash with my life to protect my little sis." He said, putting a hoof around his wife. Meanwhile, Twilight's eyes fluttered open, and soon adjusted to her surroundings. She look at herself, and gasped. She was human once more, this time with a pale face, a dark purple t-shirt, sapphire blue jeans, and black sneakers. She looked over at Flash, who was a normal white, with the same jacket and clothes.
"Flash, where are we?" Twilight asked. Flash sat up and looked around. He then saw a sign.
"Japan." Flash said, reading the sign. Then, they heard a metal clashing, and a voice.
"Keep it up, Pegasus!" A voice called out. Twilight looked over to see a 16 year old spiky red haired teen yelling at a metal top. Twilight shook her head, trying to comprehend what she was seeing. A blue white pegasus came out of the top, hitting what looked like a green yellow lion. The two battlers stopped their battle and ran over to them.
"Hello." Twilight said. Flash helped her up.
"Who are you?" Gingka asked.
"Oh, I'm Twilight, and this is my boyfriend, Flash." Twilight said to him. Flash smiled. Twilight was staring at the top in Gingka's hands.
"Oh, Pegasus? My number one partner." Gingka held up his bey, showing Twilight.
"SOOOO COOOL!!!!!!" An energetic voice yelled. Twilight and Flash gasped as a teenage girl with frizzy pink hair came barreling towards them. Twilight was shocked.
"Pinkie?" She gasped. Pinkie Pie nodded.
"That's me! The one and only Pinkie Pie!" Pinkie hugged Twilight, then went back to looking at Pegasus and Leone.
"Gingka, Madoka and the others should see this." Kyoya said. Gingka agreed. "Hey, you three, follow us, we want you to meet a few friends of ours." Kyoya said to Twilight and her friends.
"I like the one with red hair." Pinkie giggled as they followed them to the bey pit.
