The Mystery of Barry: Celestia's first try againt Humanity.
(Equestria)
"Is he the one you're looking for" asked Twilight? Pointing to a tall slender man about 6 foot tall, brown hair, green eyes and clean shaven, wearing a white t-shirt with blue jeans.
"I believe so, but at the same time I am not. He works for the company that has the building here that we cannot get into because of the human security measures. We must have the contents for our power plants otherwise we will have no more fuel. Without fuel no electricity." Said an Celestia. "Please use StarSwirl the Bearded's track and retrieve orb and please retrieve him for me. Also here is a list of items I will also require. Now go bring him back here and tell him NOTHING. I would like to talk to him personally first."
"If I might ask what is he so special for? He looks like a normal person but maybe a little overburden by work.... Hope you are right about him knowing the codes." Twilight asked curiously.
"Very well, your dismissed." Celestia said, while walking back to her chambers.
(Meanwhile at the SSS Nuclear plant in the United States, Earth)
"Barry, What is taking so long with getting the power restored to the Spent fuel pool pumps?" A supervisor said while Barry was connecting the last of the wires together.
"There I'm finished, just have to put the cover plate on the motor. (Got up and looked at my supervisor). Look you keep pulling me off of this job to complete jobs that other people can do." I said furiously. You complain about everyone not doing quality jobs. Your solution was that I take all of the high priority jobs while everyone else takes the low priority jobs and re-lamps fixtures."
"Barry, we are sorry that you have to be keep being pulled off, but you have to understand that you have a lot of experience as to where the other electricians have not had any type of experience."
"Well I'm glad I have all of next week off." I watched as my supervisor's eyes burst wide open. "I plan on leaving my cell turned off, so I can completely enjoy my week off."
"Barry I completely forgot that you are off next week.... what are we going to do with all the work that was for you next week?" The supervisor said nervously.
"Sir, not we, you and your fellow supervisors. This is your problem. And no I'm not going to work Saturday or Sunday either. As soon as 5 O Clock comes, my vacation starts." I chuckled a little to myself. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to put the cover back on this motor and start my write up."
(Five minutes till five.)
"There all done, I never realized how much I hated paperwork."
I turned in the finished paperwork. Went back to my desk and put my things away, so I could get ready to leave. A few coworkers talked to me saying, "you're lucky to have all of next week off." We all talked until we each got to our vehicles, said our goodbyes and one by one pulled out of the parking lot.
It was around 6:30 when I drove up on my driveway. When I arrived at the front door I noticed a letter taped to the door.
Dear Barry.
Your attendance is mandatory, by request of the Royal Equestrian Army.
Please respond.

"Man how many more of the letters am I going to get this week? I already got eight so far....." I went inside and tossed the letter alongside with the other letters on the kitchen table. I have a three bedroom house with 2 full baths. The garage was my workshop had a nice backyard with two beagle dogs, one a regular tricolor beagle named Pepper and a Lemon beagle called Maverick. They were my little buddies.
The air smelled of burning pecan wood filled the back yard as I was grilling some sausages and had a bag of mixed vegetables cooking in the microwave. A few friends were coming later to watch the big game on TV. I cut one of the sausages into three pieces. I tossed two pieces of the sausage into the dogs food bowls and watched them haul butt to get to the free food.
"Savor the flavor buds, that's all I'm giving you two."
When all of my friends had finally arrived just minutes before the game had started, the TV had busted into static then the news station popped up.
"We are sorry to interrupt your scheduled program to announce the huge meteor shower that is going to happen tonight just an hour after sundown. That is all." The news person said.
As the football game went back on the screen a sound of metal bending and breaking could be heard followed by as the house shook violently for a few seconds. I looked at everyone while holding an antique lamp while standing under the doorframe that led from the kitchen to dining room.
"HOLY SHIT, guys was that real?"
"DUDE, Barry your truck is smashed....." one of the guys said.
As I put the lamp down, I ran outside and saw that my truck as been indeed smashed, there was a huge impact hole that went straight through the hood. As I stared at the truck everyone had quickly left, leaving me alone.
"Well, .... this just sucks."
I went to the hole that was now spewing smoke through the hood of the truck. I grabbed a water hose and started to pour water down the hole trying to put out a fire if there was one. As two hours passed, the truck had stopped smoking and pried the hood open. I saw a bright light emitting from the wreak.
"I hope that this is gold...."
I went back inside the kitchen grabbing a digital heat gun and took the temperature of the object.
"Only 100 degrees F. Whatever this thing is, it just had to come and total my truck.... NOW I HAVE TO GET ANOTHER TRUCK...." I was furious, I took a pry bar and pried the object from the truck, took the meteor object back inside.
As the night progressed, I found out that there was a sphere object wedged inside the meteor, and started to chip the basketball sized meteor until I was able to get the golden baseball sized sphere free.
"Interesting there are markings all over this."
As I looked closely at the markings, I noticed that there was the head of a unicorn on one symbol, while another marking had a pony with wings, a third with just a normal pony on it.
"If I didn't see this when I did, I'd believe I went crazy. This has to be manmade, or at least there might be life beyond the stars."
As I left the sphere on the table, I went over to the microwave and warmed up some of the leftover pizza. I turned on the tv in the living room to the Discovery channel. As I started to eat the hamburger pizza. A bright filled my entire house blinding me.'
"What in the world.... I can't see!!!!!"
I stumbled backwards over the couch. As I tried to get back up, but fell back down against the wall still blinded by the light.
"Where is this F.... light coming from. "
I finally got back to my feet and with my hand sliding on the wall I managed to get to my room and shut the door and blinds. As the room went back to dark except for the spot under the door, I could finally see.
"What in the world is happening and why me? All I wanted was to have a peaceful weekend...."
(Thud) Something hit me over the head causing me to fall to the ground, not being able to move. As my head laid on my sideways I could only see blurs and a few people or what I thought was people speaking. I heard object falling and weird noises.
(Twilight Sparkle and her friends in Barry's house.)
As the bright light was still in effect, the mane six appeared around the Golden Sphere.
"Ok girls, we each have a list of what we need and also don't forget about the locking scroll. We need to activate the locking scrolls in each room. Celestia is counting on us to complete our mission." Twilight said determined.
"Twilight, do we really have to do this? .... Something feels wrong about this mission." Fluttershy said shyly.
"Fluttershy, you know I cannot tell you why we are doing this." Twilight said.
As each one of the ponies set their locking scrolls to the floors in each room, they also grabbed what every they could find that was on their separate list. Rarity had gone to Barry's bedroom, using her magic to gather some of his clothes, Fluttershy was tasked with gathering his pet. Applejack was in charge of gathering food but was discussed when she found meat in the freezer. Pinkey pie, did whatever she did. Rainbow stood on guard. Twilight had found Barry trying to stand up while trying to recover from his vision.
"Girls, I have Barry secured, do you all have what was on your lists?" Twilight said.
"Yes," they said in unison.
As the girls gathered all everything they needed into the backyard. Twilight was carrying a dazed Barry and laid him on the ground softly.
"Twilight, do you want me to knock him out for you?" Rainbow asked?
"No, he is still dazed, I'm just going to use a blindfold him." As I put a dark blue blindfold on him, I noticed that his hand started to twitch a little.
As two hours had pasted since Twilight and her friends had arrived, and completed their objectives. They had to wait until nighttime before Twilight could use her spell to bring everyone home. Twilight's horn glowed a bright light that engulfed everypony and Barry. Within the blink of an eye they vanished along with Barry's house.
(Back in Ponyville )
"Rainbow Dash and Applejack, take Barry to the hospital and make sure he gets a sedative. We need him to be out cold until we can find a place to put his house." Twilight said.
"Yes, I understand." They said in unison.
As the ponies split up doing their specific jobs. Twilight went do a secluded field where there were no homes for a couple of miles to find a place to summon Barry's house. When she finally chose a location she put a scroll on the ground, she lit up her horn glow and touched the summoning scroll. As the scroll started to glow, the house was starting to appear from thin air.
Meanwhile Applejack and Rainbow Dash dragged Barry to the hospital. When they arrived to the hospital minutes later the two were greeted with two nurses. The nurses had been informed ahead of time and had everything ready for their new patient. The main nurse injected Barry with the sedative and they put him in a hospital bed in a private room on the top floor and locked the door. Leaving the unconscious human fast asleep.
