Dear Element of Loyalty Rainbow Dash of the Royal Counsel of Friendship,
You have been drafted by The High Ruler of Equestria Raiser of the Sun Princess Celestia for Civil War. Our first Equestrian Military Training Class will commence on the Fourth Day of April of the Year of Two-Thousand and Twenty-Five.

"Great. I'm drafted for war. Just...great. And not only that, I have military practice in five days!" I quickly threw the letter across my bedroom.

Chapter 0: Prologue
Ten years after Princess Twilight was crowned the Princess of Friendship, Equestria turned upside down. Princess Luna, wanting more in her political power, became outraged with her sister, Princess Celestia, because she feels that she cannot trust her sister with that power. Luna soon abandoned her sister to form a new kingdom, and overthrow Celestia. She tries to reason with Luna, but refused, and using her magic, Luna blasted the front walls of Canterlot Castle and flew to the outskirts of the land. Thus, the war begun.
The ponies of Equestria was forced to choose sides between Luna, or Celestia. The ones who didn't want to choose or wanted peace in Equestria again created a new side in the war: The Peace Corporation.
Because they help ponies on both sides, Celestia and Luna's armies shuned them, leaving them a quiet force in hiding. The Counsel of Friendship was also split as well.
Princess Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash went to work for the Solar Empire (Celestia's army), Rarity went to the New Lunar Republic (Luna's army), and Pinkie Pie went to join the Peace Corp., with Fluttershy as the Corporation's founder. Princess Cadance went to join the Peace Corp. as well, but when Luna found out, she stripped her of her title, and ripped off her wings, leaving a cold and brutal husk of Cadance's former self. Equestria quickly turned from the happy and carefree land, to a deadly blood-bath.
But this is just the beginning...
