The Doctor and the Fire Filly Episode 1 Crash Landingby peppermintbrownieChaptersChapter 1Chapter 2Chapter 3Chapter 1It was a nice day in the outskirts Baltimare, Equestria. There was a young pegasus filly walking through the town. She was sky blue, with a yellow straight, silky mane and tail. The entire mane and tail was together in a straight line, there were no short ends of breaks in the line. She had a piece of firewood on fire not burned for a cutie mark. Her name was Skyclear Lantern. She was the size of a teenager (about the same size as Fluttershy in her cutie mark flashback). She still had the same puppy paw eyes just like a filly. It wasn't her fault, it was just how the ponies grow in these places. When you reach the size of a young teenager you stop growing and you stay that height. She was standing in the middle of town, holding a list of groceries with a hoof, and having ruby colored saddle bags of her back. She was with her friend. A unicorn filly the same age as she was. She had a cream coat. She had a straight ice blue mane and a book for a cutie mark. Her name was Spelly Bound "Now I have to get..........," she said. Her voice was gentle and quiet, it was clearly female, it cracked a bit, but not too much that it was annoying or painful to listen to. “Vanilla, Marshmallows, Chocolate, Cat food, Catnip,..... a new cat bed?!,” Her wings opened, sticking out on her back. She groaned. “And here I thought Cocoa Creamer would actually not be distracted by Oliver! I’m going to have to have a talk with him when he gets home! That colt has the attention span of a 2 year old foal!,” She sighed and looked back at the list. "Well it could be worse,"Spelly said. Her voice was a bit louder but still a bit calmer. "You have a point there," Skcyclear “And Bread, Cheese, Milk, Cereal,” she looked up again and sighed again. “How do we run out of food so fast? I’m the only one who eating most of this right now. Until mom and dad and Cocoa get back tonight anyway. Oh well. Might as well have the house well stocked when they do come back. Lots of food. Eldest daughter asleep by bedtime, they would be really impressed!,” she said happily. Just then their was a loud boom, her wings closed and locked in when she got startled by it, her hooves bent and she knelt on instinct, shutting her eyes, and flattening her ears. “What in world?!,” she said. "Was that an earthquake?!," Spelly asked. The two got up and turned around to behind her. In the distant forest, 4 trees fell, 2 of them falling to the ground, the other two getting caught in trees behind them, but still allowing branches and parts of the tree the fall to the ground. Skyclear’s eyes dilated in horror. “My house!,” Skyclear yelled and ran towards the forest. Skyclear and Spelly ran into the forest, she could see her family’s cottage, right in front of the forest. To their relief no trees had fallen on it and no damage on the outside was done. They rushed in and opened the door. A lot of the chairs, dishes and books had fallen over. “Oh my Celestia my home!,” Skyclear said checking over the first floor. “Wait. Oliver!,” she exclaimed. They ran all over the first floor. “Oliver! Oliver! Oliver where are you?!,” Spelly said She ran to the staircase and started running up the stairs. “Oliver, please be okay!,” Skyclear said. They ran upstairs into her room. "Oliver!," Skyclear called out. A small orange and white tabby kitten came out from under the bed. He meowed. "Oliver!," she exclaimed picked up the kitten and hugged him. "Geez! What happened out there?," Spelly said said. "I'm not sure. I don't suppose you came out to see anything that happened did you?," Skyclear said, putting the kitten down. "No. Heard the crash. and that's about it," Oliver said. Skyclear looked serious. "Well something crashed in the forest and knocked over a few trees from what I can tell. I'm gonna go check it out," Skyclear said, grabbing their first aid kit and putting it in her right saddlebag. "An animal might be hurt out there," Skyclear said, heading towards the door. Spelly blocked the door before she got to it. "Skyclear wait. You don't know if it's dangerous," Skyclear used a hoof to gently push him out of the way, to the left of the door. "Well I'm going to find out," Skyclear said determined. She opened the door and walked outside. Spelly sighed in defeat. "Fine. But at least don't go alone," she said running after her, she caught up and walked next to her. They walked into the forest. The two looking around the forest for any signs of the object. "What ever it was, it knocked over a few trees not too far away from home. It must be around here someplace," Skyclear said. She saw one of the trees that had been knocked over, she put a hoof on it's trunk and sighed. "These poor trees. There must be a lot of rattled animals around here," she said and keep walking. "Whoa. There's so much dirt flying around here," she said, rubbing her eyes and making irritated sounds. "Ya. It was a lot worse than it sounded. Hey! What's that thing?," Spelly asked, using her ice blue colored magic to see through the dirt. "Huh? What thing?," Skyclear asked squinting her eyes. "Keep walking forward, it's just past those trees," Spelly said. Skyclear kept walking, she past the trees. She could see more clear now that they were past the dirt. "That thing. Right there," Spelly said pointing with a hoof in front of them. It was a blue box, with two small windows on top and doors. "It's whatever fell I'd imagine," Skyclear said and cleared her throat. "There's something written at the top. Police Public Call Box. And it doesn't even have a dent on it, and it’s upright,” Skyclear said walking up to the box and putting a hoof on it. “How is that-,” She was interrupted when the doors suddenly opened. The two screamed. “There’s something in there! There’s something in there!,” Spelly said. The two stayed in place, hooves shaking, ears flattened, eyes wide with terror. “Hello,” a stallion, with a (British) accent said, his voice was deep, but it wasn't so deep it sounded malitone, it was higher than malitone. He also had the voice of a very smart pony. His voice was also appealing and modulated, it sounded trustworthy. (A bit like the Tenth or Eleventh doctor, but sounded kinder and gentler. And not one of those voices who belonged to someone you would think gets mad easily. And when they do, they don’t yell, they just talk sternly and darkly). He was a standard sized stallion. He was tanish brown with a spiky chestnut mane and tail. His eyes were blue, and old. “Ahhh!,” Skyclear screamed and flinched back. “Huh? ,” she said looking at the stallion, confused. “Oh dear, four legs. That’s new. Well it could be different. And hooves. And a tail. This is really very new. I’d say I've turned into some sort of equine. I look there’s an hourglass on my hindquarters. Ah! I've never had a lovely tattoo before!,” the stallion said looking at his body. “Mmmmmmhhh! It’s not a tattoo,” Skyclear thought annoyed. “Um…… Um…..,” she stuttered. “On hello there. Wait, were you the one who was talking earlier? Then again maybe I hit my head to hard when I crashed and I’m delirious,” the stallion said. Skyclear moved her eyes left to right, uncomfortably. “Huh. I suppose it wasn't. You know it probable is all in head to be honest,” the stallion said disappointed. “I….. Uh…… Um,” Skyclear said nervously. “Studding? Is that really the most realistic thing that happens in delusional fantasies? There were better as far as I know,” the stallion said. Chapter 2“I’m- I’m not a delusion,” Skyclear said. “Oh okay then it was the pony that was speaking,” the stallion said. “Pony?! Hey! You’re the one that almost crashed into my house. And I just want to know-,” “Well then what do you want to be called?,” the stallion said blankly. “I’m sorry what?,” Skyclear said. “If not a pony then what? You’re clearly a young female, so what do you want to be called? You are a pony right,” “No. I- I mean yes. My name is Skyclear. And-,” “Skyclear? Strange name,” “I just want to know what happened here. And my name is perfectly normal for your information,” “I’m sure it is. If your looking at it from your perspective, but it’s quite irregular with me,” Skyclear sighed and rolled her eyes. “Oh sorry. That was rude of me,” “You mean damaging a forest?,” Skyclear said annoyed. “What? Well that too. But I haven’t introduced myself. I am the Doctor. Nice to meet you um….,” “Skyclear,” “I’m sorry what?,” “It’s Skyclear. Listen Doctor. You’ve knocked down trees. Created disturbance. And almost gave me a heart attack worrying about my house and cat. Now will you please tell me what is happening?,” “Happening? What do you mean?,” The Doctor turned to the right to see Spelly. “Do you mean that young pony, next to you?,” the Doctor asked close to Skyclear’s ear. Spelly looked at the Doctor confused. “Don’t worry, she seems to be just about your age. She seems remarkably like a unicorn doesn’t she?,” The Doctor stepped closer to Spelly making her back into a tree. He touched her horn lightly. “Well this is strange. Huh. Don’t be alarmed but I think this really is a unicorn,” the Doctor said. “Well of course. What did you think I was? A horse with a painted upside down waffle ice cream cone strapped to her head?,” Spelly asked annoyed. “Oh, she can talk to! Are you hearing this Slyclear?,” “It’s Skyclear. And that’s Spelly Bound. She’s always been able to talk. For. Years. Now tell me really, how many ponies do you know that can’t talk by the time their teenagers? Who are you?,” “I told you I’m-,” The Doctor stumbled, looking very dizzy. He stumbled towards the fillies who moved out of his way, he stopped stumbling, but still looked dizzy. “Um…. Are you alright?,” “Excuse me. Sorry. I’ll be fine. I’ll just need some rest. But like I told you. I’m the Doctor,” He stumbled a bit more before looking sleepy and collapsing. The two fillies watched him fall in shock before looking at each other in shock. The two fillies carried the Doctor back to Skyclear’s house. Skyclear was in front lifting up the Doctor’s front legs and keeping the front half of his body off the ground. Spelly was behind her lifting up his hind legs and keeping his back half off the ground. They were both facing forward. They were having a bit of difficulty carrying him. “Alright…. Up the porch stairs,” Skyclear said straining. The two went up the stairs. Skyclear stood on her hind legs and opened the door. “Alright…. into the living room,” Skyclear said straining. The two went into the living room by the couch. “OK… Set him down gently right here on the couch,” Skyclear said straining. The two slowly put the Doctor on the bed before they let out a phew of relief each. The two were catching their breath. “That…. stallion……. is…. heavy,” Spelly said, saying her sentence in bits in pieces as she gasped for breath. “Well…. that’s what…… I would….. except from…… an average sized…… stallion when…… we’re….. shorter and…… lighter,” Skyclear said saying her sentence between gasping for breath as well. “But heavy or not, I’m going to have a talk with him when he wakes up. This isn’t normal. I don’t remember ever hearing about a box that looks like the one he came out of. How did he manage to walk out of there on all four hooves anyway? It looks too small for him to fit unless he stood on his hind legs. And he certainly wasn’t on his hind legs when he came out,” Skyclear said. “Well maybe we should keep him here until your family gets back. Your mom would probability intimidate answers out of him better than we ever could. Besides he did… almost completely destroy your house. I have a feeling that’s something parents like to know happen when their gone,” Spelly said. “Well we could do that,” Skyclear said. She shook her head. “But I’d rather try to get some answers out of him myself before we unleash the intimidation of my mother on him. Whether if he deserves it or not,” Skyclear said. “Fine. But he’d better wake up soon. Before your parents get home preferably,” Spelly said. “What would mom say if she found him here anyway?,” Skyclear said before realizing something. “Oh! I really hope he’s not mentally challenged,” Skyclear said, drawing here ears back annoyed. She knew her mother could be very paranoid. If there was even the smallest factor that something would be wrong with something or some pony, she would get very nervous about it. If she came home to find a strange stallion out cold on the couch in her home with her daughter, it wouldn’t be too difficult for her mother to panic, kick him out and start giving Skyclear an extremely hard time. “Hello? Are you alright? Can you here me?,” Skyclear said, tapping the stallion on the hoof. “Maybe he is mentally challenged,” Spelly said. “Well he did just crash down into the forest ground from Celestia knows how high. Maybe he got hurt. I’ll be right back. Keep an eye on him, alright?,” Skyclear said as she left the living room. “Sure,” Spelly said. Skyclear went into the kitchen. She got some paper towels and bowl of water, then went upstairs and got some anti-pain cream from the bathroom. Then went back downstairs put everything on a tray and went back into the living room balancing the tray on her back. Chapter 3“Ok. I think I have everything I’ll need if we find anything. Now let’s see,” Skyclear said. She leaned againist the couch to get a better look at the stallion. “Well, nothing looks swollen or bruised,” she said. She pressed a hoof aganist his forehead and moved it around a bit. “Bumps neither. He seems fine,” She put an ear to his chest. “Well his heat’s beating at least. That’s a good sign,” she said. She put a hoof on the other side of his chest, but felt something. She put her ear againist it. “Wait? What?!,” she said lifting her head shocked in confused. “What? What is it?,” Spelly asked. “There’s… two heartbeats!,” “You’re kidding. You’re kidding right?,” Spelly said slightly concerned. “I’m serious. Come listen,” She motioned Spelly over. Spelly came over and listened to his heart. “What are you talking about Skyclear? There’s only one heartbeat,” “Listen to the other side of his chest,” Spelly did and she also heard the second heartbeat. “Ok you were not kidding!,” “I told you. This is getting serious. A pony should not have two heartbeats. Maybe something happened in the crash and a household first aid isn’t strong enough. Maybe we should get him to the town hospital,” The stallion sat straight up making the girls squeel and fall back from being startled. "Huh? What?," Skyclear said rubbing her head. "Uh. What happened?," the stallion asked. "Wait. I regenerated into a pony somehow. how did I get here?," the stallion asked. "Uh.... We brought you up here," Skyclear said getting up. "Oh... okay then," the stallion said and passed out again. "Wait. Hold on. Are you okay? Do you need to go to a hospital? Can you hear me? Hello?," Skyclear said. Her attempts were in vain. She looked at her friend blankly, before looking at the sun. It was getting dark. She looked back to her friend. "Come back first thing tomorrow. If he isn't awake by then, we can take him the hospital," Skyclear said. "You got it. I'll see you tomorrow," Spelly said. She left and Skyclear went upstairs to her room and went to bed. The next morning Spelly was running up to Skyclear's bedroom. "Skyclear! Skyclear! Wake up! You're not going to believe this!," Skyclear moaned and opened her eyes groggily. She planted her hooves on the bed and pushed herself somewhat up. "Spelly? You- You've never came over and woke me up before. Must be important," She yawned. "Skyclear. Did you make that breakfast downstairs?," "Uh.... What breakfast downstairs?," "That means that he made it, if you didn't," "Who? Spelly, my brain is still asleep. You're going to have to be straight with me," "The pony we found yesterday!," Skyclear was wide awake after hearing that. "He's up?," She got out of bed and walked with her friend downstairs. "No. But he's not unconscious. He's asleep," The two went downstairs. "It was almost night time when we left him and the sun's only been up for an hour. He was unconscious last night. At what point last night was he able to get up, find the kitchen, cook up a meal and set it up all without me hearing? He couldn't have made too mu-," The two were stunned. There were bagels, biscuits, boiled eggs, cereal, croissants, doughnuts, English muffins, French toast, Fruit, Muffins, Oatmeal, Orange juice, Milk, Pancakes, Peanut butter, butter, Toast, waffles and yogurt on the table. "Whoa! Just..... Whoa!," Skyclear said. "I know right! Check all this out. A pony most have stayed up all night to do this," Spelly said. "But.... But when?," Skyclear said. Spelly shrugged. "I have no idea. But there is that note over there," Skyclear picked up the piece of paper. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY KID, THE DOCTOR. Skyclear got butterflies in her stomach. There was that name again. The only name she liked to be called other than Skyclear. Kid. She always enjoyed being called that by older ponies when it wasn't used as an excuse or in a patronizing way. To her it was a name of affection. Almost like the verbal way of some pony ruffling her hair, playfully. "Well he woke up. We'll thank him for the breakfast once he wakes up. But it all, does look really good. No need to let it get cold," Skyclear said. "I have to agree with you there," Spelly said. The two fillies sat down and started eating. "Say whatever you think about him. But he can sure make a great meal," Spelly said. "You said it. Still I wish I could talk to him. Maybe when he wakes up we'll finally get some answers out of him," Skyclear said. Then there was a knock at the door. "Who could that be?," Skyclear said getting up and walking to the door. She opened the door to see a grey earth pony with a lighter grey mane, tail, and eyes. He also had a pile of clay for a cutie mark. "Hey guys. I heard about what happened yesterday and I wanted to make sure you were both okay," he said. "Hello Clay Cloud. We're both fine. It missed both our houses," Skyclear reassured. But the colt was no longer listening. He was staring at something behind his friend. "Um.... Clay Cloud? Are you okay?," Skyclear asked, waving a hoof in front of her friend's face. "Do you get how bad that looks?," Clay Cloud asked pointing behind her at the stallion.
