After Night finished eating his omelette he got up and walked to the right of Luna's. Both Luna and Celestia looked at him confused wondering if he was here to further insult them or if he had something of importance to share, or perhaps even beg for forgiveness. But he merely stood there not saying a word. It was an awkward 5 minutes of silence before Luna spoke.

"Night Shadow is there something thou wishes?"-She said hoping that she would not regret it.

"No I merely wished to be closer to you so I could better protect you."- Night replied his voice sounding as if he was stating the obvious. He was giving a smile that conveyed a feeling neither of the two princesses could place. { This will have to do for now I can ask Luna on what else loved ones do for each other but for now wishing to be close to her will be enough.}

"What does thou mean? Is there a danger we have not seen?"-Luna asked worriedly as Celestia stood frozen and observed the conversation.

"Not that I know of I merely wished to convey my affection for you by demonstrating my concern for your safety."-Night once again said as if it was common fact. This time Celestia snickered while Luna blushed and her ears flattened.

"Uhm carry on then"-Luna said with a trembling voice

"Does this means you are accepting Nights affection sister?"-Celestia said barely holding a laugh

"N-No it is simply that we uhm find ourselves in need of protection until we regain our power and Night has been the only one to offer."-Luna replied stammering now trying to sink into the ground

"Well sister as amusing as it is to see you blush it is time for you to raise the moon and for me to lower my sun."-Celestia stated while Night thought{ Luna truly is a master of her craft she controls both her words and body to convey her deceit. I would do well to learn from her.}

"We did not blush sister its merely the heat of our soup but that is enough of that as thou stated it is time for our night sky to be seen for the first time in 1000 years."- Luna said heading to a large window impatient to do her duties.

"If you say so sister but in a few days there will be others that would serve to protect you and you will need to speak your mind then."-Celestia said as her horn lit up and the sun began to move .

"Thou concern is most appreciated but tis unneeded."- Luna replayed before raising her moon and setting the night lights.
" It has been a most tiring and eventful day sister we shall retire to our quarters with Shadow and rest until dawn" As Luna said this her horn lit up and she and Night Shadow disappeared from the dining room.

{She is so fun to tease and her denial of her feelings is made even more adorable by her foal body. But for now I must rest I will have much to attend to if this challenge is to happen.}-Celestia thought to herself as she headed for her chambers

Night Shadow watched as the sun was lowered from Celestia an then saw Luna bring up the moon using her magic. He froze his mind unable to process what his eyes had seen. He did hear the princesses discuss the event before it happened but he believed the words held a hidden meaning within them. He knew that magic was powerful and useful Celestia had demonstrated as much by nearly killing him with slightly more then a thought earlier in the day. But this, this was something he couldn't comprehend. To be able to control the celestial bodies was something only demigods and gods could do. Was he attempting to beat deities at a challenge? That was a most foolish endeavour from all the legends he had read and heard over the years. But his pride in his skills would not let him bow in defeat. He then felt a wet sensation around himself and was startled by pressure on his stomach as he heard the voice of Luna.

"What is wrong with you? Why wont you move?"

Luna had hopped that Night would comment on the beauty of her night. As she thought this she realised how amusing the name she had given Josh Rovers was. But then her thoughts turned to anger he had humiliated her in front of her sister. Sure it was what she had asked of him but the way he went about it was too blunt. And he had also boasted that he could defeat the royal guards while wielding any item did he truly believe this or did he actually wish to lose so she could hold full command over him again. What was he thinking? These thoughts were driving Luna insane and she spoke searching for answers.

"Night Shadow why did thou boost that thou can defeat the royal guards with any item of our choosing?"- Luna said with an eager voice. There was no response and she turned to Night Shadow.

"Night Shadow speakest thy reason!"-Luna yelled at the frustrating human. When there was no sign of movement in the next minute the night princess became worried.

"Night Shadow? Are thou okay?"-Luna asked with worry in her voice but again there was no response

Immediately Luna remembered how much water Night had drank earlier yet he did not have a glass during diner. Perhaps all she had to do was put him in the bathtub and let him get better as she did earlier. Using her magic Luna levitated Night and layer him on his back in the bathtub. She didn't want to risk him falling and hurting himself when he came to his senses .She then proceeded to turn the water valves as much as she could. After half a minute the water had gone above Night and he had yet to move. Luna realizing she might have drowned him instantly pulled him out of the water and layer him on the ground and started hoofing Nights stomach in the hopes that she could make him breathe again.
Luna was afraid and tears began pouring from her eyes as she began speaking.

"Why wont thou wake up? What is wrong with thee? Why wont thou move?"

"Y-you moved the m-moon?"- Were the words that made Luna look up at the confused face of Night

"Thou are alive what happened to thee?"-Luna asked nuzzling the ally she thought had died.

Regaining what he could of his composure Night spoke voice still trembling with uncertainty.
" You controlled the moon?"

"Well of course now that we are free there's no reason for our sister to command it. Why who did thou thing controlled it?"-Luna asked perplexed at why they were discussing tings even foals knew.

"N-No one. I-I tho-thought that the moon was controlled by n-no one." Night stuttered fearing that he would anger the deity with his ignorance.

Luna blinked once before she fell on the floor and laughed as she rolled around. When she finally got up and managed to speak still holding back her laughter.
"Thou are most amusing. But what happened to thee? Thou did not respond when we asked thee questions and did not move even when thou were uhm droning."

"I was mealy shocked at you power over the moon. What was your question?"-Night decided it would be best to answer Luna's question .

"Ah yes we wished to know why thou boosted that thou could fight with any item. Our sister has half the mind to send you into combat armed with a spoon."-Luna said her annoyance returning in her voice.

"What are weapons if not items? Any item can be a weapon. It is just that each weapon should be wielded with the thought of that weapon in mind. You can not sneak and assassinate someone with a large hammer just as you cant smash trough a door with a short knife. I am a weaponmaster one who can wield all weapons in all situations. I would take the hammer and kill all in my way so that none living remember the assassination and rather then smash trough the door I would use the knife to break off its hinges or pick the doors lock."-Night said in a voice that sounded commanding

"So thou truly believes that thee can defeat five foes with noting but a spoon?"-Luna asked not believing what she was hearing

"I could but I wouldn't, after all from the rules I heard regardless what weapon I am given I would only need it long enough to disarm and disable one of my opponent. At which point I would arm myself with their weapon if it is better. Why would I waste energy when there is no need to"-Night said calmly. He had overcome his fear as he realized that he was already aware of Luna's and Celestia's magic and so long as neither the moon or sun were thrown at him it didn't concern him.

Luna just stared in disbelief. No words coming from her mouth for a few minutes, before she spoke.
"Even if thou can win surely thee realizes that doing so would bring the gaze of my sister upon you. If that were to happen it would prove most difficult to find allies to aid us in our endeavour."

"I had not known or considered that but I will still go through with it and win. An endless amount of funds would surely be of use to your goals and it would also serve to provide me with tings to occupy my time with and distract me from how needlessly convoluted your plan is Luna."-Night said with venom in his words

"Thou realises that we can merely order the to lose using our magic does thy not. Furthermore thou was already warned that thou shall suffer if thee suggested the death if our sister. We would forgive it now since we realize thy does not truly consider it. Be thankful."-Luna said fuming with anger

"You could order me to lose yes but I will decide in what way I loose."-Night was smirking devilishly. "For example if I decided that I should lose from exhaustion do you truly believe that your royal guards would not get disheartened and surrender after having their blows evaded and blocked for hours on end? As such unless you know every action I and my opponent would do I guarantee that I would find a way around your control. Speaking of which I would like for advice on pretending to be your other if we are to keep the charade."

Luna was angry he was right that it would be difficult to force him to do this with magic and if he was as good as he claimed impossible without bringing even more attention to them then him merely wining would. But he even had the gal to ask for her help. Yet she couldn't refuse him if it was discovered that he didn't love her Celestia would without ask about the time she had screamed and all of her deceit would be for naught.

"Very well we shall allow thee to compete with full control of thy body and tell you how to behave as the need arises but for now we must rest thy room is trough the broken door. After thy claims I expect at the very least an entertaining performance."-Luna said with a resigned voice as she headed for her bed. She would figure out a way to punish Night for defying her once she has rested.
