Penumbra has a pretty terrible start in his life, complete with an asshole father, and moving around from city to city. But as he grows up, several factors prove that his morals are lost, and that he's destined for an even worse fate than he could have ever imagined.

All he ever wanted was to be normal, to be accepted, have friends, and be loved. But thanks to his father's influence in his early life, and his curious heritage, as well as an issue with his mother before he was even born, Penumbra found that ponies are shaped by their surroundings as well.

He becomes everything he was once against.
