8:00pm BentreHoof Studios, Downtown Manehattan
I tried looking the best I could, anyone could come walking through those big, glistening doors. But would I ever have the chance? I can't just go believing everything anyone ever says about being successful, can I?
Who am I kiddin'? If I don't get this, I may never achieve who I really wanna be. For some kind of pony like me, I'd surely have no bother with all these city ponies rushing around, going from place to place?
I caught a glimpse of a colt approaching the silver double-doors of the spacious office, he was snow-white. Although I never got to see his face, he must be one of the most gorgeous colts in Manehattan.
I've never seen him before. I came here to get a chance in my new career. I'd never go back to living a low-life. I know I'm destined to be popular, rich, fashionable, the whole package. But, it all depends on this. This one conversation could change everything.
The doors opened, and I sat down, staring at who might be entering. No matter who it would be, I'd try my best at getting it. Fingers crossed, if I had any.
It was a colt, snow-white coat. Just like the one I saw minutes ago, quickly gliding past the doors into some section of offices. He walked in, his wonderful brown, glossy mane styled to perfection. I've never seen anyone so beautiful in my life.
He sat down, and with some gesture of his hooves, two assistants who were standing at the grand doors, left the room.
I looked out the windows of the penthouse office. The lights from the city flew up into the sky like a million fireflies, it was a beautiful sight. I guess you'd get used to such wonderful things if you lived such a high life here.
The colt cleared his throat and bundled some papers into a folder, leaving a few sheets of paper on the desk. He quickly skimmed though them. I think they were my applications.
I didn't want to ask, didn't seem too professional. I stayed quiet. Waited for him to talk.
My whole career starts right here, I just need them to say yes. It'll be the start of gear things for me. I'll always be well known after this. I can't just take and and then not accept fame in such a bustling city. Can I?
I could see it now. It would be amazing.
"Flair Glass?" He said, looking up at me.
I replied.
"Yes. Nice to meet you sir"
I tried not to show any obvious emotions, but it was quite exciting.
"I see you are here for a job. Modelling I presume?"
I nodded.
"Yes. I am."
The colt looked up from the papers.
"You haven't lived here all your life, have you?"
"No, I have just moved here. I hope to make the best and start a new career."
"Well. You seem like the best for the job. Unlike some of the other applicants,"
I smiled, this might be good for me.
"You have a past of modelling experiences I hear?"
"Yes, and I will be happy to take this job. That is, if you offer me it."
"You seem like one classy little pony, I've never seen such a polished, silver coat."
I tried not to blush, or if you know what I mean.
"All I have to say is.."
"Is..?" I said in my head. Who knows what he might say.
"Enjoy your new career. I will see you in the studio in three days."
I had to hold my breath, keeping from screaming.
"Thank you, I will do the best I can."
I got up and walked out of the room. I didn't think I would be able to achieve this. It's the start of a new career, a new life. Manehattan fame, here I come.
10:30pm GreenLight Apartments, Downtown Manehattan
I can't believe it, it's the start of a new life for me. I came all this way.
Being a model is just magnificent. Who knows, some day I could be world-famous?
I'm not expecting my life to be one hundred percent perfect. I don't know, I'd maybe get on with my career. Meet somepony. Live the most amazing life ever.
I'll put that on my bucket list.
I unraveled my pony-tail and brushed through my mane. I've gotta look my best. Even when I sleep.
I headed for my bed. It'll be all work and no messing around for me soon. I could see the glow of the city skyline rise above the buildings. I could definitely get used to such an amazing sight like this.
I started drifting off to sleep. But I caught a glimpse of a tall building, further into the city. GoldenLeaf penthouses, a place where on only the best could live. All kinds of famous ponies could be living there. And one day, I will too.
I just can't get to think that maybe this won't work out. What if everything I ever wish for is just all gonna go down hill from here? I can't be too sure. But when that time comes, even if it is tomorrow. I will know that I have tried to achieve my dreams and make my life the best I could.
A fell alseep shortly afterwards, dreaming about the life I've always wanted to live. Front covers of magazines, modelling for the biggest industries just, being a famous and rich pony. Even though my cutie mark is a silver tinted glass with grapes, I know it mean something good will happen within my life. And I'm ready to take fame and fortune on.
9:30am GreenLight apartments, Downtown Manehattan
I got up out of my bed, had my breakfast and hit the bustling streets of the city. Even on such an early, but warm day, all ponies were out shopping, working or just sightseeing.
Which is something I have to do.
I'm not a big fan of saddlebags, and I wouldn't be taking them around Manehattan. So I took a hoof bag which was hanging on my door. I rushed around my room to get all the things a Manehattan fashionista should have, 24/7.
Sunglasses check. Bits check. Hairbrush and make-up, I guess you always gotta look good?
Oh well, with my bag packed I was heading down to the bottom floor of the apartments. I lived on the top, at least I got a good view. I opened the front doors and joined the continuous flow of busy ponies, going from place to place. It must be a very boring life, going to the same places over and over again.
But what can I say? I'd be all over the place if I was a world-famous model, wouldn't I? I'm not going to keep my expectations too high, as I said, not everything might go to plan. It's not like I planned anything so my life would be better. As you probably know, it's just an expression.
Anyways, I have a choice. Shopping or sightseeing?
Obvious answer. I've gotta look my best when even going around the streets, it's kind of law for models to look good everywhere they go. I rushed onto Main Street, and stood in Ponies' square. Skyscrapers, department stores, music playing everywhere. I could really get used to everything they do here.
I headed into the nearest, and biggest department store in the square. Seventeen levels of fabulousness. Seventeen levels of clothes, make-up, anything!
I trotted into the front entrance, it was amazing. Diamond chandeliers, red carpets, marble floors. I'm in heaven!
11:50am TrendHoof Department store, Main Street Manehattan
This is something any fashion-crazy pony would love. All the designer outfits, accessories, and.. Was that a gem store? I love it all! At least I know where to get all my best clothes from.
I found a notebook in my hoof bag and scribbled down most of the things I saw, displayed lovely on racks, pedestals just, amazing! The dresses, the shoes, hats, jewellery! You can't forget the jewellery!
12:30pm Ponies' square, Main Street Manehattan
I left the department store, hooves full of bags. So I got a carriage back to the apartments to put the bags in my room. I took all the clothes out, they were magnificent! I can't wait to be wearing them when I'm modelling, out in the streets and at awards ceremonies.
I put all the clothes away and went back out to get some lunch.
There was a French café not far down the street, ponies were saying that lots of famous ponies in Manehattan have been there. It looked like a nice place, brick walls, bistro seats and tables. I would go there all the time!
I put on my best clothes and headed down to the square.
I walked up to the door and opened it, it was a well-designed place. The smells of food were magnificent. I walked over to a table and sat down to read the menu.
I saw a table with some magazines, so I walked over to pick up one. The first on the top looked interesting, Manehattan models, looked pretty nice.
I flicked though the pages of the magazine, only to find myself on the 'Next Top Model' page. My jaw dropped. I didn't even know how I got in there.
The magazine said that Flair Glass, a pony who has just started a new career in modelling, has been living in Manehattan since the start of the week. And she may become an uprising trend. Her first photos are released in two days.
Two days! I can't believe its coming so quick. I can't wait to have the best career ever. Who knows, maybe I'll catch the eye of some even bigger industries!
