I find myself doing this more and more lately, and it could be the most dangerous thing I have ever done in my life, think... Just lay here and stare at the ceiling and think about everything I have done in life all the people I've killed. All the things I've had to do and what bothers me the most is that I barely feel anything when I think about it, I don't even feel human sometimes just dead inside. But I didn’t get this far by dwelling on the past. I look over at the clock to my right 1:30 AM “I need to get up I have to be ready by 2:00 AM,” I say to myself tiredly. I slowly make my way over to the locker on the far side of the room and enter my four digit code and with a soft click the locker door opens. immediately spotting my digital desert clothes First, I get my pants then a long sleeve shirt and a pair of combat boots next my leg holster on my right leg I put a Beretta 9mm with a mag in without a round chambered. The left side holds two extra mags and a suppressor next my Dragon Skin armor and a vest to keep my knife, extra mags, grenades, and other miscellaneous things. With that done, I start to walk over to my door on the way out I stop and pick up my sunglasses do I need these... yes, yes I do. I put them in a pocket on my vest and grab my gloves and Knife putting them in my vest. Before walking out, I look in the mirror I look average like any white guy in his late-twenties with dark brown hair except for my eyes that are dark red. I look over at the clock 1:55 AM “I need to go before I'm late” I get to the briefing room with two minutes to spare. The room itself is small only big enough for a handful of people, and a few things inside are a table and a few chairs I take a seat in one of the chairs and wait. A few minutes later a man in a suit walks in I immediately stand up and salute “at ease” he sets a file down in front of me. Inside are a few satellite images and a picture of a man. “this -he says pointing at the photo- is a high-ranking officer in a terrorist group. Operating in this region an inside source tells us that he will be meeting with an arms dealer.” “you will be dropped off by an MH-6 little bird three klicks away from this hill -he said pointing. At a satellite image- it’s just over half a mile from where the HVT will be "any questions?” I thought about it for a second and stood up and saluted “no sir” " good go to the armory And get what you need when you're done. An MH-6 will be waiting for you on the helipad.” “yes, sir.” A few minutes later I arrive at the armory walking up to the gun rack in the back I get a. Barrett MX 500 with an 8x scope, bipod, thermal scope attachment , two ten round mags of ammo, backpack, medkit, and two days worth of food and water. Strapping the rifle to my back and putting everything else in the pack I start to make my way out. On the way a thought stops me I should probably grab something automatic but what... an MP7 would be good. Quickly finding the rack, I grab an MP7A2, suppressor, EOTech and five forty round mags. That should be more than enough ammo I start to make my out with the MP7 hanging from a single point sling. On the way, I get a helmet with NVGs, three frag grenades, and three flash bangs I put everything in my vest and make my way to the helipad. About an hour later arrive at the hill and start to set up I pick a spot in between a few rocks that give me cover and a good view of the meeting point. Happy with my choice I set the MP7 to my left and lay down and look through the scope. To making sure I can see everything, everything looks good now all I have to do is wait.About an hour later a couple of cars pull up, and a few guys get out with AKs they look like guards after clearing the area the man. I'm looking for gets out and starts talking to someone. They seem to be arguing about something heres my chance right before I'm about to pull the trigger I hear voices to my left maybe four of five. If I shoot they will hear it, but I might not get another chance. I have to take it I slowly squeeze the trigger and watch the bullet hit him in the head killing him. For a few second everything's quiet then I hear the voices from before only, this time, they are a lot closer and angrier. I quickly strap my rifle to my back pick up the MP7 and start to run in the opposite direction. About half way down the hill, I fall and hit my face on a rock and black out. I slowly begin to regain consciousness quickly pulling out my pistol expecting to be staring down the barrel of an AK47. Instead, I'm surprised to find myself in what looks like a forest what the fuck I was in the middle of the desert how did I get here... I stop my pondering for a second and take a look around something doesn't seem right about this place. I start checking all my gear well, at least, nothing is broken and besides a headache and what feels like a broken nose I seem fine but where am I... before I think about it anymore I hear a scream from what sounds like a little kid. I chamber a round in my MP7 and start running the direction I heard the scream after a few minutes of running I come across a small clearing what I see inside is strange. On the left side are three small brightly colored horses and on the other side " is that a fucking manticore" sure enough on the right is a manticore. That thing will kill them if I don't do something I hope bullets will kill that thing because if not I'm fucked. From the spot, I'm in I have a pretty good shot at its face here goes nothing "HEY MOTHERFUCKER OVER HERE" as soon as I said that It looked over at me. On its face, I saw a look of pure hate and anger as it started to charge me I took aim for its face and just held the trigger down. A full mag later and it dropped dead about ten feet away from me "holy shit that was close. I knew it would take a lot, but a whole mag" My thoughts are stopped by the sound of someone crying. I look to my left to see the three horses I saw earlier huddled together shaking slightly what the hell since when are horses so brightly colored. Before I could think about it anymore something unbelievable happened "please, don't hurt us." Did, did that horse just talk maybe I hit my head harder than I thought? the sound of growling tore me away from my thoughts. I look behind me to see three things step out of the forest they look like wolfs, but they seem like they are out of wood I turned to face the wolf's if you could even call them that and stood at my full height of 6,2 to try and look more intimidating. And slowly start to take off my rifle and backpack without looking back I say, “I know you don't know who I am and probably don't trust me, but I'm trying to help so stay behind me.” I pull out my Beretta and shoot the one on the right in the head before I can fire another shot the one in the middle lunges at me. And pins me to the ground knocking my pistol out of my hand in the process I put my left arm up just in time to feel it's teeth tear through my shirt And into my flesh. fuck that hurts I pull my knife out from my vest and stab it through the eye immediately its body goes limp. I roll it off of my me only to see the last one bite into my left leg with a grunt of pain I kick it in the head caving its skull in killing it. Taking a few seconds to collect myself I look down at the bite wounds they don't seem that bad but will probably still need some stitches I start to get up wincing when I put weight on my leg looking around I see my Beretta. A few feet to my right after getting it I walk back over to the three small horses still huddled and shaking slightly now that I get a good look at them they look like ponies crouching down to try and seem less intimidating I ask, “are you three ok.” It takes them a minute collective themselves "yes I think we're ok thank you for saving us" the one in the middle says looking less afraid than before. I can't believe I'm talking to pony have I finally gone fucking ininsane "your welcome what are your names?" "I'm apple bloom I'm scootaloo and I'm sweetie belle" unusual names "you can call me Jake now I'm sure you probably have alot of questions but let's get out of here first." So here I am limping trough a dark forest with my rifle my backpack and three small ponies going to some place called ponyville it's been one hell of a day.
