First came the death threats from The Vengeful, who call Equus Mortis a traitor. When Equus gets attacked by a giant bug, he follows a trail of clues to a horrible secret hidden in a Badlands mountain.
The Vengeful want to kill Equus Mortis for treachery. But who are they? Are they giant bugs who kill without hesitation, or are they so much more? Equus, the Mane Six and a few new friends travel to Appleoosa to find answers, but they find an empty town and a trail of blood leading to a distant mountain. Equus finds that the Vengeful want more than revenge.
