//-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes -by Phoenixblaze Nature- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes, Ch, 1 "The Phoenix Rises" //-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes, Ch, 1 "The Phoenix Rises" I was so young, but old, so new, yet so aged. My foster mother, Lethe May, a griffoness living in the griffon kingdom. I grew up with her, I was fed meat, no matter liking it or not, but she never knew what pony ate, up to this time, Pony and Griffon never got along. I entered the world thinking I was a griffon, to be wrong, bullied, beaten, and chased down, for being, "Not normal, weird, and different." I found comfort only in the Everfree forest, it called to me, all the time, and I always answered.  I’d spend hours alone, in the forest, to the point where others took notice and asked me valiantly with their curious minds, "What is in there" I couldn't answer fast, I lacked the creativity, I remember some light blue flowers, they smelt welcoming but seemed to warred me away with a strange feeling in my gut, my eyes widened, I began to explain to y tormentors "There, are many things, but one weird thing I do know is of the Poison Joke." They looked at me curious as I continued to explain, lightly referencing the tormentors in the flower "If you touch it, it will make a joke happen to you." They believed me, for a short time while living as a griffon, till age 5, my foster mother told me, what a truly was, I was a simple feathered pony with wings, that she being a widowed mother, took me into her wings, desperate to mother, she told me to go to the pony kingdom, where I would be welcomed, "But mother, must I go alone" I promptly asked her "No...No child of mine will ever be left in the cold," she retorted. I went off with my Fostering mother, close, I saw, the kingdom, so large, rich, bright, full of my kind, I felt welcome in this unknown territory. I knew how to fly, I was brave, bold....but shunned, unwelcome, to be returned to being the "weirdo, feathered freak show." I was kicked around, beaten for 5 long years, hiding in my only true home, the ever free forest, and its calls loud and unwavering. I walked through them every day, until I saw a light glint in the shadowy forest, I being still curious, wandered over. It was an egg, I didn't know what kind but it was a big reddish yellow egg that glowed, I picked it up and tucked it under my wing, running out of the forest, to meet my foster mother. "Blaze, what have I told you about the forest" I know immediately her expected answer and I repeat in conjecture with her, "Bad things live there" but I questioned the thought I my head of the egg, she noticed it tucked warmly under my large wing, "Blaze what are you concealing un-neeth your wing?" I showed her the egg knowing better than to disobey, she looked at the egg with complete surprise. "If bad things live there, what’s this doing in a bad place?" I questioned her to hear a prompt reply, "You are responsible for it now, it time you learned how to care for others and yourself." To this day I still know exactly what she meant, but little did I know my responsibility. Months passed, I painstakingly cared the egg warmly, to hatching, of a small weak bird, who in 3 mote months grew to a foot, but while my bird still newly into this world, nameless, I consulted my foster mother, "Mother?" I asked "what shalt I name her?" My foster mother not questioning my gut feelings on the birds gender "Whatever you wish, she is your little one, your responsibility." a week passed, feeding the nameless bird, whom I found enjoyed fresh meat, I hunted regularly for the bird to soon learn of what it was, as she grew her feathers, bright colors of red, yellow and orange. I walked down the main street as a Library came to my view, I entered it to hear the greeting of a ding from the bell that hung over the door and the curious/surprised look of the librarian, "Why what a rare sight!" At first thinking she was taking about me and my feathered coat, I promptly asking, "By what do you mean?" to hear her answer "Your in Possession of a Sun Phoenix, Female by the looks, have you given her a name?” I shook my head and she replayed, "Well a bird like that needs a fair name, doesn't it?" I nodded and with her reply and throwing of a bronze piece at my hooves that hit the wood floors with a nice ring, like a bell, "You can find anything in the library!" I looked through the books, My nameless companion to my shoulder, I looked for books on Sun Phoenix, to account for nothing, So I left the library opening the door hearing the bell ring, and with a sudden stop, I looked over at the little Phoenix and whispered "Bella?", to hear a soft coo in reply, "You like that name don't you Bella?" she cooed more, nuzzling into my feathers. The librarian smiled satisfied "See, knew you'd come up with something." After a month of continual feeding, and teaching of preening and flying and hunting, she was ready to leave to a life of her own, I held her out stretched on a hoof and said "Go, your free, go" The foot all bird refused, "Bella......your making this hard, go, live your life" Bella stayed and my perseverance left, "Fine you win," Bella giving a satisfied coo, Nuzzled into my neck, and to the displeasure of my foster mother, Bella was a permanent friend, but I didn't mind. I headed off to schooling with my companion intent on staying close, perched on a wing, she drew curiosity, from school foals, my enemy's, They grew curious of my month long absence, questioned me, harshly, and jabbing me with usual insults, I was alone with my only friend, a sun Phoenix, and pelted with insults that hurt like stones, a sane and can take only so much before letting loose. I was being chased, to the Everfree, out of the forest and to a peninsula, with large mountains in the ocean background, by a steep cliff. I was pelted with insult after insult, I felt my skin begin to burn, and heard the silence of the tormentors and flapping of wings as belly perched into a tree, I was light on fire, I floated up into the air, out of my control, ant the Mountain exploded, out in the ocean, it was 3 volcano, their explosive crack was deafening to my ears, and the heat so intense, the shock wave so strong, ash filled the air, and my tormentors choked, in the ashes and died where they stood, I fell to the ground, in shock of the dead, I watched the volcanoes erupt, and I cautiously walked home. The living pony stared at me as if I were a ghost, and they bowed, chanting "Forgive us Profit" over and over, the royalty came down to greet, bowing and gifting a crown and saying aloud to all, "The phoenix has risen." and the pony's gather bowing, saying in a cumulative call, "All hail Phoenixblaze, God of nature, prince of gods!" , with Bella on my shoulder, I drop the crown, "No..." I say, "Don't bow to a pony that kills, Bow to a pony that is always there to lend kindness, I am none of such!" The king stood, as did the others "You bear the mark of the son of the great mother nature you have proven to be the foretold profit of earth, bare your crown with honor and dignity!" but speaking as if not in control of my words, "Only a tyrant bears a crown, after killing and slaying to be Prince or king, You bare a crown only after you earn it!" I walk out, with the crown in hoof, glancing at the Phoenix cutie mark on my flank, the next day, the royal family was killed, and more pony died from ash inhalation, disease, and other horrid things.....I couldn't help but feel as if the cause, but being as I had the ability to raise this egg, my foster mothers voice rang out into my ears, "This is your responsibility!" I forever vowed to never rule as a tyrant, to be normal. //-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes, Ch, 2 “Learning Self Control” //-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes, Ch, 2 “Learning Self Control” After my grand massacre, “The Day of Ashes” as they call and celebrate annually, As if a way to thank me, Thank me for, killing. After a year has passed, being known as Phoenix, a dreadful name, I was in need of control, of specifically myself, I’ve learned through trial and error that my style of learning needs discipline, and is flaw full in multiple ways. I packed my saddle bags, called for my close companion, Bella, who landed and Perched happily atop my head, I set off north east, to the mountains, to consult the legendary elemental monks. It, the journey, was a long one, by half the way I collapsed from exertion, my legs where in such pain, I blacked out, the last thing I remember feeling is the cold of the stairs up to the monk’s monastery. I woke in a warm bed, with a pair of large Female griffoness, one with the looks of a Snowy Owl, and the other to the right was of the appearance of a Phoenix. The Elemental profession of the Phoenix Griffon I knew by instinct was fire, the Owl Griffon, I had little but to find out. “Hello Blaze, we heard that your arrival would be soon,” the Owl Griffoness chimed with a soft voice, “I’d be more concerned of his health,” the Phoenix griffon other right promptly remarked with a sense of concern in her voice, “Well I never concern myself into your health ’Miss Ashy!”’ Said the Owl griffon to the Phoenix Griffon, “Whatever Amethyst,” the Phoenix griffon Passed Amethyst now knowing the Owl Griffons name. I looked at her, her neck and wings a snow white, and with large dark yellow eyes that look back with your reflection in them, her pulps changed fast in size to the flickering flames light. She spoke now more urgent, “I hear you hail from my home Kingdom, I never knew that you’d have some association with Griffon,” I just stared in silence, then Bella came to mind, “W-where’s my companion?” She looked at me for a moment slightly nerved and said “You mean the Sun Phoenix, we put her in a….” She couldn’t finish her sentence before I stood in fury, feathers smoking as I look down at her from the bed in the room, “You put her in a Cage!” I yelled infuriated at the insidious crime, well in my mind it is insidious, Amethyst looked up, and lurched back a bit “Where sorry, we know she was yours but she was being so defensive of you, Phlogiston had to…!” I interrupt her once more, “Let her go, I wish to hear from this Phlogiston,” I jumped down from the bed but before reaching the exit I remarked “I don’t blame Bella for being as such, neither should you.” I left the room, Amethyst close behind to hurry along and take the lead, Bella flew out of an open door and perched on my outstretched wing, the large black and grey bipedal dragon soon following with an word from Amethyst, “Phlogiston, Blaze wanted to meet you.” The Dragon spoke, “I can tell, by the way he looks so un-eased, I told you to leave the bird with the Colt, but you didn’t listen.” Amethyst put her head down, “well I didn’t mean to fend for myself, jerk” she walked away leaving me with the dragon, who shook his head in disbelief, “So young, so immature.” I follow Phlogiston, we talk I learn of his element which is air, and eventually he gets my motive for coming here, “Self-control, the best way to learn self-control of the winds is running, besides you must first run, before you can breathe” I ponder this question, to then begin to suffocate, the air pulled from my lungs, Phlogiston looks at me, “Run, and you will be breathing, but don’t stop till I instruct so,” I obeyed and ran, and ran, for what felt like days, I ran so far, up the mountain, over it, everywhere, till he said to stop, and I stopped. He then teaching me shouts, and so much more to the point of unexplainable proportion, he helped me as much as he could. I then met with the Phoenix Griffon, Kestrel, “H-hello Blaze,” she seemed nervous, she was quite young by the looks, almost around about my age. I walking up to her and sitting next to her with my will to learn from her, but she avoided eye contact, “I know what you did with my element, you have little control of it when emotion flairs, don’t you?” I nodded, “I know how you feel Blaze, I was like you, but I learned fast, that fire is not controllable, It can be used for good, or bad, and I know you feel you did bad, but it’s not your fault, you can’t help yourself let alone another until you help yourself.” I listened to her as she spoke, “Fire is the love you put in it, you must improve it, you must learn on your own, you are 'The Phoenix.'” she looked at me “And you shall learn from yourself, and teach your Phoenix, who sits incomplete due to you, her father’s inability.” I looked at her, listening to every word, “You must never let go of hope, now go to Hydra, she will teach you fires opposite.” I stood, and headed off, without missing Kestrels Faint, but distinctly sad sigh. I walked to the beach, looking for some sort of life, to find nothing, I sat and there she was, walking up from the water, or as the water she was the water, she walked over to me the transparent Pegasus composed of H2O, “A-are you who I think you are?” I said wondering with her reply, “If you were Looking for Hydra, you found me!” she said with a giggle. “I will teach you how you flow, and work in with the many as well as with water,” I got ready for a speech, but she walked up and sat next to me, “I must get a feel for your soul,” she touched with her liquid hoof, I felt a shock and jumped a bit, “Well aren’t you a weird, soft and rough at one time, odd pony you are,” I looked at her with a tiny blush “Sure.” I said, then she replied “We begin with waves, move with them, as them, then make them, it will take time” She spoke with a positive word, but she had other intent. I did all that she instructed, I learned a lot form her too, but why was Kestrel so shy and rather to converse, I later found out in a rather sudden matter, but that is far from the age of 11. I them moved to Amethyst, after my training with Hydra, I had a feeling that earth was on my crosshairs, I walked up to her to be immediately pounced, “Hey Phoenix, doncha think it a bit late for you youth to be out and about, I tried to answer but she simply lifted a stone under neth me, and with a swift motion after unpinning me to the ground, and shot into my quarters where Bella be perched asleep, Amethyst walked in and put me to bed. “Sleep, you need it,” I couldn’t help but feel tired, and quickly dosed away into the deep abyss of sleep, to wake with a Owl griffon laying in front of me on the floor asleep, “Amethyst, you awake,” no answer, I felt a movement behind me and a long talon wrap around me, it startled me to the core, and I jumped out of bed, the talon of stone, Amethyst now laughing “Hahaha you should’ve seen you’re face!” I grimace, “Really Ame!” I said to her in a mode of disbelief, “I like the pet name, might keep it, if I can call you Blazey?” she mocked at this point I was annoyed, “What is it?” I look at her with a frown “I don’t have ti….” she interrupted me before I finished “You have all eternity, gosh, soften up!” I stood ready for a lesson, and I sure got one, pelted with rocks, baited with food, all of the above, for the moment, I’m sick of those two griffin, they and their constant bickering and biting of each other’s necks, and of my own. Story time for today is over. //-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes, Ch, 3 “Hello Sweet Prince” //-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes, Ch, 3 “Hello Sweet Prince” I, at the time, was eleven, I, with my quizzical mind, chained curious, what, better yet, whom did I rule over, besides the pony of equestria. I needed to know, my little runoff into the Everfree forest became more and more bland, and the need to explore heightened, I was bored. So I when to the only place I could for things out of my conceptual grasp, the library. I walked in, Bella on my shoulder, she’s grown a lot as well in a year, an extra three feet, I headed straight for the “G” section and found a book on Gods, how they had mystical powers, Powers of which to control others or elements, or weather, but nothing of me, the god of nature besides a story of how the great Prince will rise from the ashes of the stars and free the world of tyranny and what I considered, the iron grip. The major thing I found on gods, was they lived in the kingdom of Olympus, now getting there is a complete other story, one story involving adventure, the one grandeur thing this colt truly needed and was scorned for the trouble it brought, but no matter, I was ready for excitement and relies from my bounding of the “known lands.” I hustled to my mother’s newly inquired home, “Mum, I’m home!” I said aloud the moment of opening the door, “Blaze!” She yelled at me I winced at what might come next, “Where have you been for the last three hours?!” She being worried of my where bouts, I gave a concise answer, “I was at the library.” She gave me her distinct “whoops” face “Oh, ok then I uh, sorry dear,” I replied to her simply, “Its fine mum,” I preceded to pack my things, the new saddle bags of mine I got donated to me with a large Phoenix on the side on a embroidered shield liking thing, I don’t know what to call it but it looked like a shield and it was some fancy stuff, they were huge bags, able to carry 20 pounds each, with a thick gold plated Iron belt buckles, to fasten the top down onto its contents securely. I filled the bags with fresh meat for myself and Bella on the trip, I packed a large map of the world, drawn out by equetrias’ greatest cartographers, and I brought, compass, I tried to fill both sides with the same weight so I wouldn’t list to one side. I opened the door, do be confronted by the terrors glare of the griffoness I call mum, “Where doth thy think thee going Blaze!?” She questioned me in ancient tong, “Olympus mum, I want to see my kingdom if I’m a prince of it, wouldn't it be apart of responsibility?" she gave a long sigh, “Fine then, stay safe…” I exited the door Bella following close behind landing on one of the saddle bags, and my mother spoke out with one more motherly whine, “Say out of trouble!” I couldn’t help but sigh back with an, “Ok mum.” I walked east, to the sunrise, as the book said, “Go to where the sun rises, and you’ll find thy portal to the land of the gods.” I walked for miles, covering so much new land, I passed fragrant white flowers, luster green pastures full of grass, and then it hit me like a roughly thrown stone to the head, literally, “Hey stupid!" called out a tall red dragoness, her eyes where pure white, iris and pupils, just white, she didn’t even look into my direction, she seemed from the dragon lands of the west, in familiar with the looks of their kind, but she approached me with the ease of any other dragoness in her specific stature. “Where does a small pony like yourself go, what’s that thing on your back….who are you?” I bombarded with questions, choked on my thoughts and words, “I-I uh ug….I am Blaze Nature, or Phoenixblaze Nature, as I’m now called…a-and the thing is my companion sun phoenix, Bella. Who are you?” A solemn look on her face grew and she quieter and less invasive way spoke, “I am Mars, Goddess Of war, I’m guessing you search for your kingdom, my lord?” I scrape my hoof against the ground, remembering the “Days of Ashes,” I sighed, and said, “I prefer Blaze, over all that royalty tarring junk.” Mars nodded, Follow me then Prince Phoenixblaze of Nature, I growled slightly to myself at her need to show respect. Her eyes Glowed, a bright red, and a large Chrystal portal, built itself from the ground, the magical gate way of film that wavered in the inside of the arch, as I looked in awe, I was pulled inside by Mars. I saw the huge golden gate and wall of stone, with the giant castle, reaching past the clouds, my jaw open, as I looked at it, as Mars yelled out, “The Prince Cometh!” it was immediately followed by its repetition by the many of voices, and cheers. Being overwhelmed by all this excitement in one sitting, Bella cowered in the feathers of my mane, her yellow and orange beak, crest and tail, poking out of my grey and black feathers. As the gates opened and I walked in to a barrage of loud cheering and praise, all the griffin, pony, dragon, deerling, zebra, all cheered loudly, and then began to bow as I passed them, the sudden excitement and welcome, devolved into horrid, warship, I couldn’t restrain myself from acting out my beliefs of true, freedom, “No!“ they all shuttered, “I will not be worshiped like I’m some Lord of all or some higher thing around those terms, I don’t want you to bow down to me, I won’t wear my crown over you, and I refuse, to be treated like a prince!” They all immediately stood in shock, “I’m not a tyrant, if freedom is what I mean to rise from your ashes, then don’t treat me as if I’m above you.” At this point I was running out of things to say so I had to finish off, I began to walk away turning around, noticing the doors on the castle, and without thinking for a second, “I want the doors gone, the castle is a place for all to be, whenever.” I heard clapping and then applause, “I prefer to be called Blaze!” I shouted out so they could know, what I mean when they think freedom from what. //-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes, Ch, 4, “War Horse” //-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes, Ch, 4, “War Horse” I just turned 16, it was January, 14 and the Equestrian Swards, that’s what they were called at the time, where looking for new young knights, I with the need to adventure, enrolled immediately, and boy was I mistaken. I having my current reputation, as the “Prince of gods, the god of nature,” was accepted immediately, on the spot. I was taken to a fort, I think the name was Fort Kritos Nushlin, its tall wood walls toward overhead, I couldn’t help but look. The gate opened and I saw rows upon rows of barracks, to then have my view blocked by a tall black and white western dragon, his eyes where a deep red, one side of his face had a long scar that run from his forehead to his lower neck, He had an angry look to him I later understood why, but I couldn’t look at him any longer for the fact that training begins now. “What are you worthless maggots looking at!?” He yelled out with a loud raspy voice, he then looked at me “You, pipsqueak is there something you see that makes you stare!?” I startled at his sudden advance on me, “N-no!” He Leaned down to me his face close to my own, “No what!?” I stuttered, “N-no sir….” He yelled into my face again, “I can’t hear you maggot!” I responded with what he expected of me, “No Sir!” I spoke as loud as I could, and he shook his head and with a growl he moved to the Griffon that stand behind me, with the same actions. They filed us up, and removed us of possessions, and giving us our uniforms, or “Maggot wears” as the dragon said. “I am your senior drill instructor!" The dragon declared "Most of the base knows me as Sir Willis!" there’s a snicker in the line of us, and Willis’s first reaction was yelling, “Who the fuck was that!?”, He walked up the line looking at each recruit, stopping at me and grabbed me by my uniform collar, “Was it you chicken shit!?” He lifted me off my hooves, “No sir!” but he seemed to not believe me, “I otta rip you a new one for busting out of line like you did!” The griffon that stood next to me, the same one that stood behind me at arrival, “It was me sir!” Will dropped me, I can’t remember what he said to the griffon next to me, but he got hit twice across his cheek roughly and that was enough to put him on the verge of tears. We were sent off to our assigned bunks and told to rest well for we had a long 8 weeks ahead, I don’t remember sleeping at night, it was so quiet, no windows, nothing, just dark. Will burst in within a few hours, with a pan and spoon walking down the aisles waking the others up, I hot up and stood at attention immediately, out of fear, we fixed our bunks, so everything was perfect, even if it was perfect we had to redo it cause “It isn’t good enough” He would say as he tore the bunk apart sheet by sheet. And then began the running, we would run 24 miles a day around the walls of the fort, I was instructed to lead cause Will called me a coward, and “The only thing your good at is running!” he would yell, I hated his guts, I worked my ass off for 8 weeks and got nothing but being stronger, at night, we recruits would talk about our lives, most of them where shit, but the question that I was asked most of all was, “You had everything,  why throw it away like that?” I answered the only way I could, “I didn’t deserve to have praise fir blood of others soaking my skin, and I needed to earn it.” With that one single comment, I was voted into being the youngest leader of the platoon, my boot camp mates, that Will ever had, I earned the respect of my boot mates, just because I felt I didn’t deserve what I already had, I don’t know why, but I was literally given it. When boot camp ended, I stayed with the same troop, “Here is where you maggots learn how to kill.” He spoke in a hush manner, but his voice sounded blown, and over used, I shuttered at the word kill, but I should have known that I was getting into a bloody business, we each got a short sward and he preceded to teach us how to fight, and wed train for hours, sometimes sparring, which I’d always loose, I was just so small, but I graduated, as top of the class, I earned Willis’s respect. I was given a suit of armor, and a long sward, and told to head to war, one that being lucky me, just begun, so me and my new platoon, the one I was assigned to, hiked across the miles of land to meet up with another huge force, the enemy, they had us stand in rows, and on the command charge we ran into battle, yelling, but as soon as the killing began, and I hadn’t even gotten to the front, tripping over dead bodies, I had enough. I got charged by one of the Saddle Arabians, I brought up me sward, and we circled for what seemed like hours, and then he stepped forward with a stab the blade cutting into my left cheek with its edge as I being late to dodge, but out of instinct I swung my sward up his hilt and it caught on the hoof guard, and with a fast twist, I disarmed him, and put my sward to his neck, he fell to the ground and began bleeding, my face bleed badly, and the more I looked at him, the more hate I felt, I picked up his sward, and lowered my own, and with a swift move, I stabbed through his neck, he choked and died. I went on to Kill 567 Saddle Arabians, with my sward, I was stained in their blood, I was the last standing survivor of my troop, I hiked home on my own with the Saddle Arabians retreating, and I sobbed. Tripping and falling over miles of dead, I smelt of death and soaked in blood of pony, my cheek was healed though, and I survived, on my own, my Baptism in blood. The war lasted 13 months, I spent three days of that killing, on my own, and then walked home for the end of the war, Being the only of 7 to return, out of all 1395 sent out, I was welcomed, back to my Fort Kritos Nushlin, praised, honored, given whole credit for the victory of the war, I was given the honor of being a Royal Knight, I accepted hesitantly, my feathers being still stained by the blood, and memories full of the faces of dead, I bowed to the royal sward, and put on the silvery helmet, as a Knight, at the age of 16, on January, 13, before my birthday, Phoenixblaze Nature, the great hero of war, the prince of the gods, the god of nature, Royal Knight, merciless killer, the spiller of blood, the great bird of prey, nopony, but a scared colt. //-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes, Ch, 5, “Friend of the Stars, Sun and Sky” //-------------------------------------------------------// Book of Phoenix Ashes, Ch, 5, “Friend of the Stars, Sun and Sky” I had recently turned eighteen, well five months ago, after the war, my first war, I found that the memory of death lasted forever, and it followed the mind as if a physiological plague, I could no longer sleep deeply and peacefully, I’d slip now and again to wake in terror. The days grew long, and unbearable, I grew irritable, and the lack of sleep taking its toll on me, I lost my sense of humor and joy, for it to be replaced by tiredness. Some nights I’d get a fair sleep, but those being slim to none, I eventually after another month of this, I grew horribly lonesome, which didn’t help the fact that I couldn’t move around with anything more than a mope. I lacked energy for anything, even eating became a task, I became skinny, I was a sore sight in my late teens, I looked like I lived as much as I am old today, but with a youth. I carried bags underneath my eyes most of the time, I had shed many of my feathers, Id sleep sometimes in the daylight, in the trees, time just seemed to move in slow motion, I lost all the perks to my personality, my youth was gone as a young stallion, I felt like a dead pony, slithering through the reality of life like it was a dream, but tangible, and the feeling felt as if it lasted for eons. One night came around, and I looked straight to the sky in my perspective thirty thousand feet up in the yonder of air and wind, I felt life, I saw it, smelt it, the great green and purple violet lights of our northern sky’s, danced, filled with a mystical life as if it was magic. My eyes where filled with the sight of them, and the stars of the background, full of the dust clouds of space and planets, stars, moons. And then the lights danced away, but the stars lingered, slowly moving across the sky, I felt the deep happiness, that the young one feels when it would see its mother, They looked as if breathing, rippling in the whisper thin air of the attitude, I couldn’t look away, fully entranced by the majesties of the stars. But it was short, and they were moved away with the moon to greet with and bring forth the sun if the east, it rose, bright oranges and reds, lighting my eyes, and warming my feathers with the radiant heat that all envied. I looked at the suns rising as my first realization, my realization of life, my life goal, who I was supposed to be, and then I looked down, I spoke aloud to myself in the twilight of dawn, “What has become of me, I had life, is this my death, am I dead?” I felt my skin begin to burn up, the sun fully rising, my feathers fly away carried by a strong wind that pulled ashes of my body away, in a long trail starting from a red epicenter of my origin, it was dark, and cold. An eye opened to my left, a massive light blue eye, and another one like it to the right, they blinked once, and a loud female voice echoed out, tearing into my soul, “Rise Blaze!” the voice called out, “Rise from the ashes of death!” the voice commanded, “And so forth rise the rest of Earth with you, from the ashes of the forsaken and forgotten!” I felt the burn on my skin, the light of life, as the ashes of my body burned in a bright white light, I rose from the ashes of death, in a burning embrace of speed and height, aiming my body down with my birdlike tail, trailing flames and smoke down, and through the city, the dust curling up behind me, I angled my tail down and opened it wide landing on the ground with one strong flap. My body flickered and crackled as flame, pony just waking and witnessing my rebirth, looked at me with a gaze of wonder and gleam, their faces light by my bright fire, of which lighting a wide aria around me in the early twilight, of the ground. My body cooled off but ever leaving a faint glow behind on my feathers. The baptism of every phoenix is a single rebirth, I had mine, and to prove it my feathers glowed of the light of flame, the light of life that would last forever. I felt awake, alive, happy, and I got my original charismatic personality back, the same one that befriended the many. But the beginning of eternity has only just begun, and I realized now at that moment, the most horrid of curses was bestowed upon me, I was immortal, I would live forever, beyond and into the before of beginning of time, my life would last forever, I had all the time to do everything, I could for the kind of all, but the more came, and my job, was to change the world. I’m but one single pony, of the tender age of eighteen, and frankly for the time being of eternity, I had no choice, it was chosen for me. But no matter, I refused to let all down for ones need, so began my great journey. One of the ashes of a phoenix.
