A New Princess of Friendship

     It was hopeless.

     Many ponies had looked all throughout the land, but no one could find Twilight Sparkle.

     She'd mysteriously disappeared on Nightmare Night.

     Equestria needed Twilight. They needed a princess of friendship.

     Celestia sat on her throne. She was wondering who could pick

up Twilight's role.

     Sunset Shimmer.

     Sunset Shimmer sat at a table with her friends. They laughed and talked.

     There was nothing wrong or unusual about this day. It was perfect.

     She heard the magical book in her backpack vibrate. Cutting the

conversation short, she rummaged through it to find the book, then flipped open to the page with new writing.

     Sunset frowned as she read down the page. When she finished, she looked up.

     "Is something wrong, darling?" Rarity asked, concerned.

     "Everything's fine." Sunset Shimmer responded.

     "Okay, dear." Rarity said.

    Only, it wasn't fine. Twilight had gone missing, and Princess Celestia expected her to take her place. How was she supposed to do that? And leave her friends here? But she had to find a way. All of Equestria was counting on her.

     She slipped the book into her backpack again and sighed. She knew she had to do something.
