Retro wiped a bead of sweat from his head, his sweaty hands holding on to his controller. This was the fiercest game of Battle for equestria: canterlot's finest hour he'd ever played.
"Come on guys we've got this!" Retro shouted down his headset to his friends. The fighting grew more intense until eventually Retro and his friends triumphed. "Yes! finally we've won a game!" Retro exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air in victory. "Whew! That was some intense stuff, I'll be on tomorrow guys i'm gonna hit the club for a few hours." Retro had been playing all day, and decided a few drinks alongside some techno would be a brilliant way to end a day. After cleaning up his flat room, he made his way down to the nearby club. The moment Retro walked into the club his ears were bombarded by the loudest techno he'd ever heard. He looked up at the DJ who he knew as DJ PON-3 and saw her messing around with the DJ set. He walked over to the bar, ordered a drink, found a table and sat down on the chair closest to him. He sat there, thinking about his stance in life. He worked at a nearby pet shop, barely making enough to pay the rent for his flat room, let alone his hobbies. He'd earned his cutie mark of a game's console controller by being good at video games, and despite managing to win some prize money at tournaments, he'd hit rock bottom. In terms of looks, he wasn't too bad. He had a black mane and tail, with black highlights. His fur was a dark blue, which didn't stand out among the bright colors of where he lived, and His eyes were a murky mix of blue and green. Overall, his life wasn't the best. His thoughts were interrupted by the girl he'd been admiring for some time now. Rainbow dash strolled into the club with her friend, Applejack. Retro watched Dash from a distance, as he'd never had the courage to talk to her.
"Come on Retro, She's out of your league." Retro grumbled to himself. "Well i'm not going to forgive myself if i don't at least talk to her." Retro thought to himself. He took a sip of his drink but stopped dead in his tracks at what he saw.
Rainbow.
Kissed.
Applejack.
And it wasn't a friendly peck. it was a 'i love you' kiss. Not sure what to do, Retro sat down and observed further. Applejack had her arms wrapped around Rainbow's shoulders, holding her close as they danced to the music together. Retro tried not to stare as he felt both confused and slightly aroused. The sight of the two hot mares embracing each other was flustering. Retro had seen enough, and made his way out of the club. Retro hadn't realized how much he'd been drinking and was stumbling his way towards his flat. Retro had made it to his flat and rather unceremoniously fell through the doorway. After picking himself up he stomped his way into his bedroom and collapsed on his bed. Retro woke up to the sound of his phone ringing, accompanied by the worst headache he'd had in years. Retro slowly pulled himself up and threw a hand to his phone in an attempt to grab it. After multiple attempts his hand caught the phone and he answered the call.
"Where are you?!" The voice of Retro's boss exploded out of his mobile, causing him to pull it away from his ear in shock.
"I uh...don't...feel too good today boss.." Retro sheepishly answered.
"Oh Celestia do NOT tell me you got drunk again!" Retro's boss asked in an agitated tone.
"Sorry boss i just lost focus and didn't realize how much i'd had until it hit me" Retro apologetically answered.
"One more time and you're fired!" Concluded Retro's boss. Retro wasn't a heavy drinker, but he never did respect his limits. One way or another going to the club always landed him in trouble. He was a careless soul, who went about doing what he wanted but paying for it later. Retro put the phone down and sighed to himself. "Well i suppose having a day off of work means i can hit the pharmacy to get some painkillers for this ruthless headache." Retro made his way out of his flat room and slowly made his way into town. While walking through town Retro noticed the trees were starting to loose leaves, reminding him that summer was almost over, and autumn is coming. The town was as busy as usual, ponies rushing about shopping, working, visiting the town and more. Finally Retro reached the doors of the local pharmacy and went in. Looking around the shelves for what he needed, he saw something he didn't expect. Rainbow dash was browsing the isles, looking for something. Retro tried not to stare as he found a box of painkillers and thought of a way to start a conversation with the blue mare. He pretended to continue to browse while keeping an eye on dash out of the corner of his eye. The Pegasus suddenly moved to Que up for the till so Retro did the same, trying to look as casual as possible. Rainbow threw a glance at him before trying to look at his face.
"Hey, are you that Retro guy who won that video game contest a while ago?" Rainbow asked in an inquisitive tone.
"Ohh thank celestia" Retro thought to himself as he turned around to answer. "yeah i am. you're....Rainbow dash aren't you? one of the elements of harmony?" Retro answered.
"Heh, yep, that's me!" Dash replied, extending her wings with a smirk on her face.
"So i saw you play in that contest, you did pretty well, considering you won."
"Yeah, though it's a lot harder than pushing a few buttons. i got lucky more than a few times." Retro answered.
"looks like it's hard work. so what do you do for a living?" Rainbow asked as she put her item on the till for the pony working the till to scan.
"I work at a pet shop" Replied Retro.
"the one near here?" Rainbow inquired.
"Yeah" Answered Retro
"cool. I suppose you've seen me clear the skies above here a few times?" Rainbow asked
"once or twice, yeah. looks exhausting to me" Retro answered. It was his turn to buy his painkillers now. He put them on the counter as dash waited for him. Once he was done they walked out of the shop together.
"What's that for?" Rainbow asked as she pointed at the painkillers.
"oh, i was at the local club yesterday and got a bit drunk. These are for the headache that's still got me in pain." Retro replied as he rubbed his head.
"what's that for?" Retro asked as he pointed to the bottle of back ointment Dash was holding.
"Oh...it's for a friend of mine. She's...not feeling too well so asked me to pick it up for her." Dash replied, stuffing the small box into her hoodie.
"Oh, ok cool." Retro said as he shook his box of painkillers.
"So i guess i'll see you around?" Dash said as she slowly began flapping her wings.
"Yeah, sure." Answered Retro as he smiled at Dash. Dash then flew off into the distance, slowly flying out of sight. "Oh celestia i'm such a stalker...." Retro thought to himself as he began to walk home. After reaching his apartment, he slumped onto his sofa and took some of the painkillers "Ugh, why is drinking such a stressful habit?" Retro thought to himself as he read the information on the box of painkillers. "well, seeing as how i've now got the day off of work i may as well try to sleep this off." Retro proceeded to flop his weight off of his sofa and crawl to his room, where he climbed onto his bed and passed out.
Retro opened his eyes, sat up and looked around. He was in a barn, surrounded by hay and farmyard tools.
"well...look who's finally awake" A familiar voice came from across the barn. Applejack strode in, lasso in her grip.
"What exactly is that for?" Retro asked, but got no answer.
Retro tried to get up, but applejack quickly lassoed him around the chest, pulling him back down
"Want me to step in?" Another voice echoed across the barn, this time coming from Rainbow dash. She walked into Retro's field of veiw, with her signature smirk on her face.
"....Rainbow?" Retro was no longer confused, he was struck dumbfound.
"Feel free to, i'll join in" answered Applejack.
"wh...what's going on?!" Retro stuttered, looking around confused.
Suddenly, retro was grabbed from behind and pinned down by the more athletic Applejack, who had little difficulty keeping Retro underneath her. "Whoa easy!" Retro said as he tried to get out from underneath her.
"We can't do with all this squirming and writhing" Applejack cooed as she tied up Retro's wrists, and covered his mouth with duct tape.
"Aww, now how are we supposed to have fun?" Rainbow questioned, glancing at the duct tape.
"Wait what" Retro thought to himself.
"Well course i'm not keeping it shut forever Dash, now can you tie his legs for me?"
"......Wait what?!"Retro continued to be occupied with his thoughts Dash did as she was instructed and tied up retro's legs. By now, Retro had given up all attempts to fight back, and was kind of enjoying the attention. Rainbow noticed his compliance.
"Heh, he's enjoying this" Dash teased.
"Well, Big mac needs my help with the apple harvest, so i'm gonna leave ya to have some fun" Applejack quipped, as she stood up and strode out of the barn, closing the door as she left.
".........WAIT WHAT" The realization of what Applejack had just said struck him as he was brought out of his head and back into reality
Dash shifted her body so that she was sitting on Retro's chest, legs splayed outwards. She lifted Retro's head and ripped the duct tape from his mouth.
"I think we're both gonna enjoy this" Dash cooed as she planted a kiss on Retro's lips.
"........oh this just got good" Retro began thinking to himself once again. Dash shifted her weight once again so that she was lying on top of Retro, using her body to keep him down. She continued to kiss him until she decided she wanted things to get.....interesting.
"Enough messing around, i'm getting what i want"With that, Dash slipped a hand down Retro's trousers.
And retro woke up. He was in his apartment, on his bed. Not in a barn....and not Doing what he would rather be doing
".....It was all a damned dream....." Retro thought to himself. He was slightly frustrated at this revelation, but it gave him an idea. A stupid, inadequately thought out idea.
He was going to try to get dash to date him.

Sorry i've been out of action for so damn long. I've had college and other personal stuff just pile on over the months and it's only just started to get manageable. Hopefully i'll be able to continue my stories much more easily.
