All's Fair in Love and Heartbreak
It was a beautiful day in Ponyville, thanks to the workers at the weather factory in Cloudsdale. Rainbow Dash was already training at the Wonderbolt Academy. Instead of Spitfire training her, Soarin was doing it. Rainbow was learning a lot from him. She loved her training already.
"Soarin, I'll see ya around," she said after her training was finished. "Oh, and, one more thing." Soarin raised his eyebrow. "Do you maybe...want to come to my house tonight?" Soarin nodded.
Later that evening...
As Soarin arrived at Rainbow's could home, she said, "Hey, dude, come on in." Soarin looked around for a bit. "Soarin," Rainbow said nervously. Soarin raised an eyebrow again. Rainbow Dash whispered, "I...I...I'm not ready."
"Not ready for what?" Soarin asked, frowning as Rainbow teared up. "What's wrong?" Rainbow started to sob. She didn't answer and flew out the door. Soarin let out a cry of shock as he watched his best friend disappear into the sunlight.
But he didn't give up. He bolted out the door and saw Rainbow Dash on a dark cloud with rain pouring out of it. "Rainbow, what's wrong?" he asked, still frowning at the sight of Rainbow's flooded eyes. Rainbow didn't respond. She just trembled in fear.
Dash choked back her tears, and finally, she replied, "I told you...I-I'm not ready." Soarin reminded her that she could tell him anything. "Okay, I-I'll tell you." She looked him in the eye and wiped her tears. "I have...I have...I have a crush on you."
Soarin smiled. "Oh, Dash, I was going to tell you the same thing." Rainbow blushed. She couldn't believe it. Her favorite stallion felt the same way.
"Come here, you!" Dash said cheerfully as she pulled Soarin into a kiss. They both looked each other in the eye, blushing. "I'll be waiting for you upstairs," Dash whispered. As Soarin walked into Dash's bedroom, she said, "Tank's hibernating, and I feel lonely." Soarin lay next to Dash, who said, "I need some comfort."
And there they were, snuggling in Rainbow's soft cloud bed. "I love you, Dash," Soarin whispered in Dash's ear. "And I always will." Dash nuzzled him and blushed. After a long period of time, she finally fell asleep in Soarin's arms.
