The air was misty. The mist was processing heavy. Rainbow Dash remembered. Meteors rained from the table. No milk was spilled. Applejack took a deck of cards from her pocket. Ornamented kites showed her the way home. Luna was hungry. She thought about maples. The coconut didn't think. It rolled. It bumped against a wheel of an old wooden carriage. Twilight Sparkle was preparing it for Celestia's Royal Friendship Safari. Pink plastic seats, massive glowing lampshade and long rectangular flower pots on both doors made it faster. Crystal interference brought stalagmites from Black Sadness Underpass to resonance. The resulting nocturne woke up the Grid. The Grid was unknowable. Hyperbolic bubble of imaginary wormholes of prey. It inflated itself. In quiet atriums of intergalactic leech palace, it felt like nothing happened. Crystalline ether seaweed could not comprehend its emotions. As time went sideways, the gates of alicorn wizardry began getting realigned with the matter. Three sacred satellites from around Equestria were long ready for folding into one, which meant black. But ponies were oblivious. Until Rainbow suddenly sensed the imbalance in matrices of hay, and lifted her head from the pillow. But, as the bed accepted the new metric, the macro became redefined. Rainbow was dropped through time to when volcanic ferrets had been fighting otters hired by ticket bats. Those were the glitchy prehistoric times. Red stones and ash were powering up the violent hybrids of animals and their food. Elegant hot air balloons were of use when bearded wizards of ancient archestables watched grass sausage swallow gemstones to become expensive. The balance between fractions of substance was hard to maintain, but it was worth it for souls of the wise. Then came the Wonderbolts, trying to follow their velocity vectors. Greater than the laws of their awesome vector magic, applying to them and them only, more powerful than the horn of Gravity Well herself, and sometimes faster that the smallest of particles, but only the lazy particles, they all desired for a legendary Pie. Together in friendship, they hoped, they would get the Pie someday. Pulsating optical disc of sunset was slowly rising from the box as they flew away in formation. Their morning routine was a single thing that revealed location of starting point of heroic adventures to all ponies every day. Recorded to the books going back in time as usual, that Twilight was writing, time itself was editing, and the Being read. The sky was always full of blue magical wisps from the future, the trash cast from the magic wand that the oceanic hedgehog with three hundred and fourteen horns was wielding, the magic wand left behind by a forgetful clone of Trixie. What - ah, yes, manifested by the wind in that strange reality, opposing the quiet space realm of darkness, were them - Air Narwhals. Still drilling through the atmosphere after being launched from the cannons years ago, they were all parts of Rainbow Dash. As parts of her, they were blue and left persistent rainbow trails behind them. The world looked different to them, and of course, they could always catch floating cookies replenishing their power, even when they were invisible to everyone else. And Applejack was located in a completely different coordinate system. Without any apple magic, cutie marks, or the sky, seeing the world around her being magical and sentient, but hiding connections to her friends in the patterns of itself, she was in sorrow. But that day, she was sure she would find the way to hear them. And so the learned astronomy within twenty seconds. Locating a far-off star that she thought was the one being the key to the hinge of the doorknob, she wished upon it, saying the old Zebrican rhyme, and she finally got the mirror. Meanwhile, Twilight was pressing buttons on the television to book the cake of destiny. Chased by crabs through an orifice of insanity, Rainbow got a new ability. She just needed an umbrella, and her half-baked idea of using it for getting access to Pinkie's mystical porridge, would bake itself completely, and then she would outrun the scissors to find the temple of frying pan. Like a sparrow, she smashed a brick wall and retaliated for a jackpot which was in the cannon of a tank built for shooting frozen southern fruit. She was safe in the tank, and she asked Time, what to do next. Time said that if she was in Rainbow's place, she would fly. And so Dash began flying in tight circles. Then she got tired and fell, right on the enchanted teapot. That activated the object, electric sharks flew out, and then there was a pony genie. He didn't listen to her, he just gave her the mirror because this story should begin already, and she saw Applejack there, but the connection was too quiet, so she had to yell, and something. Whatever. Time watched as Dash tried to make use of the strange communication thing, but she was the only one who could go ask something for help, and she decided to. That made her go faster, so it's unknown what Rainbow did then. Only Twilight could communicate with Time. But she was on vacation already, traveling through mountains of somewhere. And she was sleeping. And she was in a cave. And she was purple. So Time went to the well to get some water, and fell there a bit. In the water, some boxes with bagels were floating. But they were locked, and she was hungry and wanted them, so she went to the shop and bought the key. The story is, when she returned, Twilight was somewhere else. Applejack got distracted a bit from the yelling when the apple moss underneath her produced more apples. She was ready for apples. And so was Twilight. In her case, apples appeared out of nowhere. Those were apples of Darkness and not so tasty.
