Silicon Wire sat at his desk, organizing a few papers. Silicon was the CEO of his workplace, and was very proud about it, too. He would often boast to his friends that he owned one of the most important companies in all of Equestria. He is the CEO of RCHSO, Research of the Changeling Hive and Species Orginazation. He had an important job, indeed.
Because of the invasion, Equestrian society has become different. You see, before the invasion, Equestrian civilization was at their peak. Ponies were inventing new things every day.
This... Was the Information Age.
And it all fell because of another changeling invasion. It was unexpected and perfectly planned. Nopony had expected another changeling invasion would strike after the third. They were wrong. Everything fell.
And so, many ponies tried to do the best they could for civilization, reinventing creations or, in Silicon's case, forming organizations like the RCHSO. It took a while, but now Equestria is back to normal.
**Almost* back to normal.*
There were buildings still destroyed, new diseases brought by changelings, and light green gunk on several buildings and monuments. No, Equestria would never be the same.
After fiddling with his papers for a few minutes, Silicon finally decided to sit down and start working. In fact, Silicon was very ecstatic about working today. He and his team have come very close to discovering a way to launch a team of ponies into the Hive without being seen. For months, he and his team had tried everything from classic pony military tactics, to diseases that could kill thousands of changelings within hours, to erase changelings from their beautiful world. They couldn't afford another invasion. But so far, nothing had worked. So Silicon was prepared to attack the changeling Hive from the source. Well, almost prepared... He had planned out how they were going to defeat the source, but they were still working on how to enter the Hive.
Silicon got down to business. He entered the password to his office computer on his wooden desk and opened up several programs. Silicon was a wiz when it came to computers. He had achieved a collage professional in Engineering, and a masters in computer science. Silicon had devoted his life to his future, something most ponies don't do. Most ponies would rather give the minimum amount of effort needed to accomplish that certain topic, and move on to the next. Most ponies would hate going to work. Most ponies would rather be at their homes, watching TV all day. But Silicon was different. Silicon would give anything his hardest. Silicon would love going to work. Silicon would rather be at work, achieving what he and his team had been working on for months.
Silicon was *not** most ponies.*
He sent one final e-mail to one of his associates containing the final details of what they were working on, and sighed. One of these days... he thought.
About an hour later, Green Tie came to Slicon's office. "Sir," he said, grinning. "It's done."
