Volume:it's a wonderful thing
"YES!!" Yelled Skittles as she did arial flips in the air.Skittles was the daughter of Rainbow Dash and Soarin.She was a pink pegasus with a rainbow colored mane (like rainbow dash),and her cutie mark was a soccer ball with streaks of Rainbow comming out of it.Just that morning,she found out that she was going to have a birthday bash.That is a party where all of ponyville is invited.And her mom also told her she could start planing it that afternoon.
"Well,Don't keep you head in the clouds,squirt." said Rainbow as she flew into her daughter's room.
"Don't worry mom,I won't.But thank you so,so,SO,much!!" Skittles said as she talked her mother to the ground with a big hug.
"What's going on in here?" Soarin said,walking into the room.
"The birthday girl,that's what!" Skittles replied.She looked at the wonderbolt clock in her room.
"3:00! Let's go do some party planing!

"So,were going to have to go over how many ponies are attending this party..." Twilight said,looking down at her clipboard,not noticing the imitation Rainbow was making of her.
"Why do we have to go over it again ,aunt Twilight?We've been over it,like,a million times already."
Twilight bent down and said,"Double checking is an important strategy in life,Skittles."
She stood back up and whispered into Rainbows ear,"Now I know where she gets it from" Rainbow just rolled her eyes.Rarity and Fluttershy headed over to them with a worried look on their faces.
"Umm,Twilight....." Fluttershy started.
"Don't tell me he did it again! That Discord is going to hear from me" Twilight said angrily,trotting over to Discord.
"Discord! How many times do I Have to tell you??!! No chaotic powers with kids unless some pony is supervising!! Discord sighed and gave up his act real quick.
"My dear Twilight,why must we have rules in the world. Maybe we could pull some strings" Discord said mischievously. Twilight turned and gave him a glare. Than she went to check on the wonderbolt preparations.

Sorin! Sorin!" Twilight called from across the field.Sorin,who was talking to his wonderbolt team,turned to twilight.
"Hey,Twilight! What's up?"
"I Just needed a role call of the team." She levitated her clipboard.
"First,Spitfire!"
"Here!
"Fleet foot!"
"Here"
"Jetstream!"
"Here!"
"Laser Beam!"
"Here!"
"And Sorin!"
"Here!
"Next priority." Twilight said,scanning her check board." Autographs! You guys have the autograph paper?
"Yep" said Sorin, holding up a stack of paper with some signing pens sitting on the top.
"Party decorations..."
"Did some pony say party!!??" Pinkie pie and her Daughter,Cotton Candy Cloud,said hopping over.Pinkie grabbed Twilights arm and pulled her to another section of the field.

"Throw it,already,Emerald!" Skittles said,getting impatient.
"Why must you pull me into this repulsive game of...Foot..ball. Why couldn't you ask Cotton to play??"
"Because,the teams aren't fair without two unicorns on each team...
"So that's what you wanted me for,just for magic powers??!! Well I never!!" And with that being said,she trotted away.

"So,do you have streamers on the list?
"Oke doke loke!!" Cheese Sandwich,Cotton's father,replied while eating a cupcake.
"We also have The party canon-pinatas-banners-cupcakes-cake-inflatable bouncy houses-inflatable pools-trampolines-lemonade flavored pools-pizza-candy-chocolate-a stage-disco lights-dance floor-cheese's giant party cannon-party favors-rides- games and music." Pinkie said in a super fast voice.
"You guys know me so well" Twilight smiled as she checks items of the list.Then Rarity and Emerald trotted over to them.
"Rarity! What a coincidence! The next thing on my list is birthday girls outfit.
"Oh don't worry,darling. Me and Emerald have it all under total control.
"Another check" Next is Applejack with the banquet.Rarity,Emerald,and twilight headed over to Applejack,who was followed by her son,Copper.
"Hey AJ!" Twilight said.
"Hello,Applejack" Rarity said,Emerald following.
"Well Applejack, how's the banquet going?"
"It's going dandy,Twilight.It couldn't have been better."
"Well...What's on the menu?" Twilight asked.
"Well,we'll have Apple fritters,Apple tarts,caramel apples,home style turkey,home style ham,corn on the cob,mashed potatoes with gravy,Apple pie,Apple Cider..."
"Some pony say CIDER??!!!" Rainbow Dash said,flying over."How many barrels are you going to bring?"
"Exactly 25 fresh apple picked barrels." Applejack answered.
"YES!!!!" Rainbow said,flying into the air.
"Glad you like our cider,rainbow" applejack said.
"Of course!Nothing could replace quality Apple family cider!"

"Anndd....Skittle's team wins!!" Shouted Discord,who was the coach. Everypony cheered!"
"Way to go,you guys" said Horseshoe,Copper's sister,who was on the opposing team.
"Yeah,great job,Skits." Copper said,him and Emerald approching.
"Aww...here come the love birds.." Skittles teased.
"Wh-what?" Emerald said,blushing.
"Skittles,that's not very nice.." Said Swirly Sane,Discords daughter.
"Attention everypony!! Can I get your Attention please?!" Twilight said into the microphone that was set up on the stage.Everybody looked at her.
"Thank you. Ok,so I would like to give a shoutout to the birthday girl,Skittles!"Everybody cheered!
"I would also like to hang this banner in honor of her first ever birthday bash!" With that being said, she leavitated a huge banner with Skittles face printed on it.Everybody cheered!

Author's Note
In this chapter,I'm going to talk about how all the friends get ready.(p.s.,I didn't mention cotton getting ready because they were already at the party.)
Chapter 2:Getting Ready
"This is going to be so awesome!!" Yelled Skittles as she looked at the suit Rarity designed. It was a wonderbolt outfit (like her father's) with a blue cloth for the body,wing holes for the wings,and yellow lightning streaks on the sides.
"Thanks,dad!! It's the best wonderbolt suit EVER!!!" Skittles said,hugging her dad.
"Don't thank me,thank your a untie Rarity. She's the one who came up with the design."
"Ok! I will tell her how much I like it when we get to the party." Skittles replied.
"Great! You can watch Tv while your waiting for me and your mom to get ready." Sorin said,leaving her room.When he was gone,Skittles turned on her tv.Then,she used the control to scan her recordings. Then,she clicked a wonderbolt racing show from the night before.Then,she watched that until it was time to go.

Darling! Are you ready yet?! Me and your father are waiting..." Rarity shouted from the front door.
"Conning,mom.." Emerald shouted from her room.She was still getting ready even after a whole hour went by.
As she came downstairs,Emerald filiped her hair,reveling the elegant dress she was wearing.It was a dress with different shades of purple cloth lapping over each other.
"Marvelous choice of an outfit,darling!" Rarity exclaimed as she hugged her daughter.
"You look simply wounderful,darling." Fancypants comented.

"Mom! Dad! You ready yet?" Horseshoe called from the front door.Her and Copper were getting pretty impatient,so Horseshoe asked Copper an interesting question.
"Hey,bro,are when are you going to ask Emerald to marry you?"
"WHAT!!?? Who gave you that idea!!" Copper snapped.His face was as red as an Apple.
"Well,it obvious that you like her..."Horseshoe answered.
"I DO NOT LIKE HER AND I NEVER WILL!!!!!!"Copper shouted.
"What's going on in here? Applejack asked as she and Trend came out with the food for the banquet.
"Nothing,mother.." Horseshoe said in her best little filly voice.
"Hmmph,well see about that." Copper snorted.

"Starlight,Swirly,and Dusk!! Are you ready yet. We're all waiting. Twilight yelled from the front door.Starlight invited Swirly over to get ready,so Fluttershy and Discord agreed to bring her over while they talked with Starlight's parents.
Conning mother!!" Starlight called.When they finally left,Dusk yelled,"Party,here we come!!"
