The Ahamkara are rumored to have made a resurgence after the destruction of the Crystal Empire. Twilight Sparkle is assigned to go to the Crystal Mountains to see to this creature's end before it destroys all of Equestria. Discovery of a peculiar looking corpse inside the dark abyss makes Twilight realize that she hasn't escaped from the corruption that nearly overtook her long ago.
