Octavia Philharmonica has always been a level-headed mare, but dealing with the uptight ponies of Canterlot can try even the most patient of ponies. After losing her cool at the cost of a valuable piano, Octavia is sent away on a sabbatical, to allow herself time to heal and re-evaluate her priorities. Ostracized from the symphony, she decides to spend her two months in Ponyville with an old and beloved friend. Little does she know the allure of one sultry lounge singer awaits her, and her two months in this backwoods town suddenly get much more interesting.

Applejack has always been an honest pony. But sometimes, living the life of a different mare can be so... exciting. She's never lied, and if anypony should call her out on the clever disguise, she'd admit to it openly. But nothing is stopping her from living her budding dream in Ponyville's recently-opened watering hole. To an audience of smoke and alcohol, Applejack croons her favorite tunes, all while wearing the disguise of another mare. It's an exciting life, one that she and her family are okay with, especially since it brings in plenty of extra bits. But one pony from out-of-town threatens to throw the whole operation into jeopardy when she falls for Applejack's alias, and not for the down-home farmpony herself.

An idea that came to me during a recent trip with some beloved friends. The idea stuck, and I've decided to turn it into an exercise of duality and storytelling. The tale will take place from the viewpoint of either mare, with the same story told from two vastly different viewpoints. Consider this more of an exercise than it is a serious attempt at any cohesive story. Still, there's plenty of sticky fun to be had between the two, and I do hope you enjoy what I've got planned.

The story is to be divided into 'Parts' consisting of one chapter per mare, telling the same story from two viewpoints. Each 'Part' will be two chapters, one from Applejack's perspective, the other from Octavia's. I expect anywhere from three to five parts, meaning a total of six to ten chapters. Updates to come whenever they fall, as this is a side-project in favor of other writing.
