When Glacial Spark was young living out every day in he's life with he's 2 most closest friends, Glowing Aurora and Obsidian Violet. Though though the days and years of there lives for years they talked, as a fight broke out at Glowing Aurora's house against her father and mother before splitting up and going there own way. Glowing Aurora's father stayed in Ponyville, while Aurora and her mother went to canterlot, as Glacial Spark said good bye with Obsidian Violet. They made a promise to meet here in 5-10 years and catch up once again. A few years later after graduating school Glacial Spark and Obsidian Violet parted ways, as he was staying in Ponyville and Obsidian was heading off to canterlot to study at the Celestia's School of Gifted Unicorns.
