A Tale of Many Worlds

Everyone in Ponyville had gathered around the large wooden stage that had been seemingly set up overnight, despite warnings from Raynor's Raiders. Half of the curtains that covered part of the stage appeared to have been sown together from smaller fragments of purple cloth and appeared ratty. The other was a brilliant and beautiful sky blue with several stars on it. Although this was foreign to most, to Sonic and the ponies it was very familiar.

"What's going on? Some kind of theater group?" Dipper asked, while Mabel's eyes lit up.

"I love theaters!" She shouted happily, while Sonic had a large frown.

"I just hope it isn't who I think it is." Sonic muttered as the curtains began to open and revealed a light blue unicorn. She wore a purple tux with a long purple cape, and a purple witch-like hat. She had a cocky grin, while several ponies began to murmur in anger and wonder.

"Greetings Ponyville! I know that you've all awaited the return of the Great and Powerful TRIXIE!" She shouted, rolling the "r" in her name. Dipper noticed Rainbow Dash cup her hands around her mouth.

"No pony waited! We were glad you were gone!" She shouted, as the crowd began to chuckle and laugh. Trixie stomped her foot in anger, and continued.

"As Trixie was saying, I have with me a very important guest! We had become business partners after he had his career ruined. Trixie swore that she would repair the broken shambles of his life. I present to you..." Trixie trailed off as tiny footsteps could be heard rushing from the stage. Soon a child emerged, wearing a blue tuxedo with a bolo tie, his white hair was at least twice the size of his body, and he appeared to be a bit chubby.

"Lil' Gideon!" He shouted, raising his hands into the air. The very sight of Gideon made Dipper and Mabel gasp, which confused Sonic.

"Is something wrong?" Sonic asked, and noticed that Mabel was gone. Looking back he saw her opposite to the stage. "Uh... Dipper...?" Sonic began but noticed him chasing after her. "I guess I'll just stay here..." Sonic said, turning his attention back to the stage, seeing that both Gideon and Trixie were speaking.

"For our first trick we'll need a volunteer..." Trixie began to scan the crowd and her eyes fell upon Sonic. "You!" She shouted, which shocked the ponies in the crowd. "Come now good sir. We don't have all day." Trixie said with a grin, as Sonic slowly made his way up to the stage. "Now we have never met, is this true?" Trixie asked, as most magicians do.

"Yes, we have. I chased you out of town last time. Mostly because you lured that Chimera here in an attempt to get revenge on Twilight." Sonic said and Trixie stomped on his foot, making him give out a quick yelp.

"Such a kidder! Isn't that right, Trixie?" Gideon nervously asked, and Trixie quickly nodded.

"Now, watch as Trixie wraps him in steel chains! Then with the power of my mind I'll break 'em and free this fine gentleman!" Gideon announced, before Trixie's horn began to glow. Several chains began to flow around Sonic, wrapping around his body, tying themselves together and making movement nearly impossible. Sonic started to tilt forward, but Trixie grabbed him with her magic just as his nose began to touch the ground.

"H-Hey! I didn't agree to any of this! L-Let me go! Now!" Sonic shouted, while the crowd stood there in utter shock and anticipation. Sonic noticed Gideon placed his right hand over his tie, and the chains began to creak until they shattered, sending bits of metal and debris flying in all directions, while the crowd cheered.

"Lil' Gideon! Child psychic!" Gideon shouted, raising his hands upwards, while Sonic struggled to regain his balance.

"A mediocre trick at best. Trust when I say that I've seen better." A voice cut through the crowds screams of excitement and adoration, and the crowd suddenly fell silent. They all turned while a now furious Trixie and Gideon searched for the speaker.

"Which one of you said that!?" Gideon asked, his chubby white face was starting to turn as red as a tomato. "Well!? Who said it!?" Gideon asked, scowling at the crowd, but Trixie had seen who it was and she had gone pale.

"I did." A white gloved hand raised above the crowd, as its owner began to approach the stage. It was a black hedgehog, with red stripes on his ears, going down the back of his quills, he had a large tuft of white fur on his chest, and his fiery red eyes glared at Gideon and Trixie. Following him was a gray-white hedgehog with a white ring of fur around his neck and chest, his gloves had a golden cuff at his wrists, while his white, gray, and blue boots had a similar cuff around the ankle, his yellow eyes were focused on Sonic.

"An' just who do you think you are!?" Gideon asked, while Trixie had backed up.

"I am Shadow the Hedgehog, the Ultimate Life Form." He replied, while the white hedgehog continued to silently follow.

"Well what about your friend there? Who's he?" Gideon asked.

"Silver. Silver the Hedgehog." The white hedgehog answered. They began to make their way onto the stage. Shadow climbed up the stairs, while Silver began to float while wrapped in a light blue aura, this caused the crowd to gasp and some even let out sounds of approval.

"How did you...!?" Gideon began, but Silver cut him off.

"Do that? It's simple. I have the power of psychokinesis. I can move almost anything with my mind." Silver replied, while they approached him.

"You can do similar things can't you? So called Child Psychic." Shadow said, his words cutting through Gideon.

"W-What do you want?" Gideon asked, as he began to realize his current predicament.

Shadow pulled out a badge, and held it for Gideon to see. "I'm a G.U.N. agent. You're wanted for breaking out of a maximum security prison in Gravity Falls, Oregon." Shadow said, while they continued to get closer and closer to Gideon. "Silver, the tiny handcuffs that the officers provided us with." Shadow turned to face Silver, who handed the small metal object to him.

"No way! I ain't going back there!" Gideon shouted, placing his hand over the tie again.

"I know all about your tricks! Your secret little magic amulet that you keep in your tie! There's no use trying to fight the inevitable!" Shadow shouted, but something flew out from behind the curtain heading straight for the hedgehog's face at an alarming speed.

Dipper, Mabel, Stan, and Fluttershy approached the large crowd and Fluttershy began to point out the two new hedgehog's standing on the stage.

"That's Shadow and Silver... What are they doing here? Last I'd heard Silver had taken a job as a temporary G.U.N. Agent, and Shadow was supposed be his partner..." Fluttershy explained, but they noticed something fly out from behind the curtain right for the black hedgehog's head. It made contact and Shadow stood there, with his head hanging back, while everything went silent. Then much to the Pines' surprise, Fluttershy took of running towards the stage, seeing that Sonic was up there as well.

Sonic couldn't believe what he'd just seen and he rushed over to Shadow, as the metal object fell onto the ground. It was simply a metal brick, most likely a prop for another magic trick.

"Shadow...? Buddy? You ok?" Sonic asked, but then noticed a thin trail of blood begin to drip from Shadow's nose. "Aw crap... Uh, kid. If I were you, I'd start running!" Sonic shouted, and Gideon ignored this advice, but rather stood there with a confident smirk, waiting for the moment that the black hedgehog would fall onto his back. Gideon looked back at Trixie, who had gone ghost white. He turned when he heard feet shuffling, and saw Shadow tilt his head back up and wipe the blood away with his left hand.

"Silver... Sonic... Don't hold me back." Shadow said, and they realized this was code for You'd better get a damn good hold on me, so I don't end up going to prison for what I'm about to try to do. Silver instantly grabbed onto Shadow's right arm, while Sonic grabbed his left. Shadow tried to rush forward, but the weight of the two hedgehogs was making it difficult, and they showed no signs of letting go. However, with a quick whip of his arms, he flung the two onto the wood of the stage, where they landed with heavy thuds. Shadow moved full speed at Gideon, who began to float upwards, thanks to Silver's quick thinking. This wouldn't stop Shadow however as he began to leap upwards, swiping his hands at Gideon looking for a place to take hold, but found nothing, only grazing the front of his suit with his fingertips.

"JUST LET ME GET ONE SWING AT HIM!" Shadow yelled, but Silver refused to lower the child.

"One swing is all you need to kill him!" Silver shouted, and Shadow eventually calmed down, only now realizing that most of the crowd had fled the moment he wiped the blood from his face.

"Gideon Gleeful, you are under arrest..." Shadow said with a glare, cuffing the child, and taking him away with Silver following. Sonic sighed and moved over to meet with Dipper, Mabel, Fluttershy, and the others, before moving on with the rest of their day.
